Carousel Candies

The old candy machine with the aroma of caramel brings me happiness and joy in Christmas times.

Having grown up in the MB Area, it was nice to be able to bring my son here to see what fisherman’s wharf was like, and this place hasn’t changed a bit. The classic machines and the smells take me back and are wonderful watch.

Monterey is a annual destination! Carousel Candies is a must stop!!! Cotton candy, caramel corn and apples are a personal favorite! The candy cases are full of chocolate delights, like truffles, fruit slices, chocolate covers nuts and caramels! Salt water taffies. They serve ice cream treats. Have a Jelly Belly selection. They serve Boba teas.

Some of the best candies and desserts in Monterey hands down! You have to try the dark chocolate bacon, chocolate jalapenos, and the chocolate covered figs. My wife and I love to come here everytime we are going to the wharf. There is something for everyone 😁

I love their dark chocolate English toffee. I first had theirs in 1986 and it is still the greatest. They also make their own saltwater taffy on a machine in the window but I don't care much for that. I am glad I didn't buy at the first candy store. Not that they may not also be good, but Carousel Candies is the original. I think the first candy store used to sell ice cream in fresh waffle cones -- there is a waffle cone rack behind the counter but no more ice cream. I enjoyed coming back here.

This place has the best salt water taffy selection. And their staff are very friendly and helpful. a must see if you are in the area.

Awesome and delicious sweets and treats. Great customer service. I had Carmel popcorn, fudge and various candy canes. Great taste and price. If out on the wharf make sure to stop by and say hi!. This is the best candy store on the wharf.

We stopped in during a walk on the boardwalk. Love the homemade peanut brittle and the various white chocolate pieces. They have other milk and dark chocolate as well as other candies and ice cream. My grandparents first took me to Carousel Candies when I was 4 years old and 45 years later it's still one of my first stops when I visit Fisherman's Wharf. They have the best taffy & caramel corn. Give them a try, I'm sure you won't regret it. 😊👍

This place is a Hidden gem. They have the best candies and nuts that I have ever had. Their Carmel Corn is incredible. Other than trying to get through to them to order is very difficult unfortunately.

Great customer service and the treats are super yummy. Kiddos got the chocolate covered bananas, hubby got the cherry ice cream and I got some toffee Almonds. Will come back soon!

The folks that own and operate this place are kind and sweet. Their products are superb and amazing. Well worth stopping by and enjoying the amazing and sometimes unique and sometimes traditional treats. There is something for everyone.
