Cinemark Lancaster IMAX and ScreenX

The Daily News of Los Angeles reported that the Cinemark 22 opened on May 19, 1999. Cinemark paid the city $2.7 million for the land and spent about $18 million in construction of the theatre, which is near the Lancaster municipal stadium.

With total seating of 3,660, an IMAX screen was installed in the largest 500-seat auditorium in April of 2011. Capacity in the other stadiums ranges from 125 to 400 seats.

Nearby was the Cinemark Movies 12, built in 1990, which was turned into a discount theatre and closed in June 2020.

Sometimes it makes me sad, though... Andy being gone. I have to remind myself that some birds aren't meant to be caged. Their feathers are just too bright. And when they fly away, the part of you that knows it was a sin to lock them up DOES rejoice. But still, the place you live in is that much more drab and empty that they're gone. I guess I just miss my friend.

I have no idea to this day what those two Italian ladies were singing about. Truth is, I don't want to know. Some things are best left unsaid. I'd like to think they were singing about something so beautiful, it can't be expressed in words, and makes your heart ache because of it. I tell you, those voices soared higher and farther than anybody in a gray place dares to dream. It was like some beautiful bird flapped into our drab little cage and made those walls dissolve away, and for the briefest of moments, every last man in Shawshank felt free.

I find I'm so excited, I can barely sit still or hold a thought in my head. I think it's the excitement only a free man can feel, a free man at the start of a long journey whose conclusion is uncertain. I hope I can make it across the border. I hope to see my friend and shake his hand. I hope the Pacific is as blue as it has been in my dreams. I hope.

The screen X thing is pretty cool. This is one of the nicer things in Lancaster CA

Went on a Sunday afternoon. Lines were short. Prices for snacks weren't priced too bad. With the app had enough points only cost $5 for me and both of my kids for the movie tickets. Theater was clean. Bathrooms were clean. Overall good experience coming from someone who hates going to the theater

I think my favorite thing about this place is the app. Buying tickets online and even ordering snacks to avoid the lines. The restrooms have always been clean and the staff has always been great.

Haven't been here in awhile and it still looks great. Seats are clean. The restaurant is still here and now there are car charging stations available in the parking lot. Staff was nice and helpful.

Had to run to the theater to do an exchange for tickets I bought online. I spoke with Ryan at the box office and he was just a very pleasant guy to interact with. Don’t know him never met him before but it’s positive human interactions like that that just make your day. Wanted to give him a special shout out and say thank you Ryan.

Senior and child discounts for early bird showing. Huge parking lot. Ver clean. Great seating. Fresh popcorn. Icee drinks. Small blankets for purchase if you get cold.

Review for June 20th 2022. Great movie theater.. Go to Imax. I had a wonderful experience at this movie theater. About my tickets online so I didn't have to wait in line. Top gun Maverick is a great movie. I had some popcorn with some jalapenos and it was good. Great staff and place is very well kept. Thank you for the wonderful experience looking to come back soon.

I really enjoyed my movie/theater experience here at Cinemark Lancaster, CA.
Customer service was friendly and helpful with my ticket purchase. The lines were short and moving quickly.
The theater temperature was cool, comfortable and clean as well as the restrooms. I will be back as soon as my schedule permits. Thank you management.

The theater was clean and quiet. The popcorn was hot and tasty, my daughter enjoyed herself.

Clean and comfortable place to see a movie. Theater was large. Great sound, and I liked that the Cinemark kept the number of previews before the film to a reasonable number. Also, the concession line has Pizza Hut pizzas hot and ready to grab. The line moved fast and efficient. HUGE well lit parking lot. Easy in and out. I also saw plenty of security roaming around patrolling so it felt safe. The theater is the only thing in the parking area. It is stand-alone, not part of a mall/ shopping complex. Overall I really liked this theater for a true movie-going experience.

It was an awesome surprise going back to the movie theater to find all the changes since the pandemic. The hot Pizza Hut pepperoni pizza was awesome, and the large popcorn was way more than one person to eat. I saw Dune part 2. It was amazing. I even bought D-Box ScreenX seats. That made the large action scenes awesome. I'm going back to see it in IMAX next.

Quiet, courteous staff. Couple dollars cheaper for early bird movies. Clean. Plenty of parking.

Ms.Ally and Ms Elena was just amazing helped me get my tickets for this location fixed when I made a mistake very sweet and understanding both of them they were just amazing to speak with thank you ladies for your help I appreciate it

Going back to a movie theatre is really wonderful. I missed it during Covid. My gf was noticing how low in attendance our room was, but I reminded her that it's a very chilly Tuesday evening. Then she replied, wait till Avatar comes out, there won't be any empty seats for weeks. She makes a good point.

Nice Cinema. Always clean. I like the large parking area. Very spacious theater. Great snacks and service at the snack bar. The extra side restaurant is a plus. If you want a real burger, chilly cheese fries, or something more than just cheese nachos from the snack bar. They also serve Starbucks.

Love our little outings to the movies . I even take myself out on dates with myself lol. The twins love going and so do i. Took them to see the new Minion movie and we loved it
