Had them make a drive shaft.They wanted a measurement and I gave to them. Just like they asked. When I installed it I seen that it was too long. The yoke was too close to the transmission. When I called them the owner said they been doing this for forty years and don't make mistakes. At that time I co build not find my receipt. He said I measured wrong and I gave him the lenth. I have since found the receipt and the correct size was their. I took the shaft to another shop and had 1 1/2 in. Removed. More than 50 years I altered many drive shafts as I work in a machine shop. Bottom line we all make mistakes . This one was not mine.
