Smith Veterinary Hospital

I recently switched veterinary offices as my current vet was unable to assist me with the necessary travel testing needed to take my dogs to Hawaii. I contacted many offices in the AV and finally found Smith Veterinary. My initial contact was with Eric, who is a saint in my opinion! He researched, priced out and scheduled my pups for their FAVN antibody testing. This isn’t just any testing it’s very particular and has quite a few steps & requirements. To top this off I don’t have just one but four dogs! This in itself was quite an undertaking. Upon my appointment arrival I was greeted by Eric and the other front staff who were all pleasant and helpful. My pups then each had their exams with the doctor to ensure they were good for travel and testing. His personal demeanor was so pleasant, friendly and reassuring that this process was indeed something their office is efficient in doing. I can rest easy knowing their travel certificates will go just as smoothly. My only regret is not finding them sooner than I did. I’m truly so thankful to have found this office!

11/3 (a Friday) I needed to put down my 14 year old husky. I called my regular vet and they said they wouldn’t be able to get me in until Tuesday (4 days later). I found smith vet through google, called right when they opened and the man who answered the phone was very nice and helpful and was able to get me in right away for a quality of life exam. He told me to call when I got to the parking lot so they could get me checked in. When I called I got a different receptionist, a woman, and she seemed like she didn’t know about my situation so I said “I was told to call when I got here” to which she replied a bit rudely “okay, well I still have to check you in”. I didn’t catch the name of my doctor or the technician but they were both very sweet and helpful to my situation. My pets ashes were ready for pick up 11/14 and I picked them up today 11/16. When I walked in the door I wasn’t greeted whatsoever by any of the 3 receptionists sitting there. No smile, no greeting, no anything. There wasn’t any other clients in the lobby or anyone on the phone. I didn’t want to deduct a star because I had a good experience otherwise but this was very frustrating especially as someone who has worked as a receptionist at a vet hospital before and as someone who just lost a fur baby.

We had to put down our dog of 14 years yesterday. I am so grateful for the kindness and compassion shown to my dog and our family by everyone at Smith Veterinary. Thank you.❤

Thank you for helping my cats upper respiratory infection. It's been 2 days since her antibiotic and steroid shot and she's running around like a kitten! I haven't heard one cough or any congestion today! You guys are all amazing, thank you again.

They provide the best care for my pets! I have a bulldog. Given their bad health, we visit the vet a bit more often. Prices are competitive and they accept CareCredit. They provide excellent care and advice towards her health and prevention. I would also like to thank them for taking care of our big boy til the very end. We will always entrust our babies to their care.

I was so pleasantly surprised with the care and compassion from dr g! He listened to all of my concerns while i cried my eyes out because i felt so bad about my Luna being in so much pain. Other vets wanted to do extensive tests and even biopsy that was out of my price range and did not treat her unless i did the tests. Thank you for showing great love and care for my Luna! ❣

This place had quick service, nice employees and very careful for my pet ! My 4 yr old terrier had diarrhea and bloody stool and they ran tests and gave him antibiotics at a affordable price. The vet tech who helped explain everything to me was super nice and knew a lot. They were understanding and didn’t do anything without letting you know. I trust them and my dog did as well. This veterinary office had an appointment the same day i called and were very respectful. I have never seen a staff so smart ! Remind yourself to be nice to vets and vet techs/ vet assistants.

Smith Veterinary is the only vet that I will take my pets to because I completely trust them.
Dr. Garha saved my dogs life and I am so grateful to him for that as well as the many years Dr. Garha and his entire staff have treated and cared for all my dogs with love and professionalism.
I am blessed to know them all and I can't recommend them highly enough, they're the best! 😀💯

As a conscientious pet parent for over 50 years now, I know how hard it is to find a veterinarian clinic that provides you with the genuine care that Smith Veterinarian Hospital does. I'm so happy to know that my pets are getting the best care possible, taking into consideration my financial situation. As a senior, they offer a senior discount, and believe me, it helps! We have lived in the AV for 19 years, and this has been the best Veterinarian we have had. They are so caring and gentle with our fur babies. We have had nothing but great experiences taking our dogs to them. I trust them 100%.

Over the past 10 years, we have taken all our pets here for care. The Veterinarian is very compassionate and friendly.
We had our recent kitty neutered here.
It was economical and he was very well taken care of. They were very accommodating when we needed to put our pets to rest as well. The veterinary assistants are very knowledgeable and take the time to answer your questions.

Thank you Kathy and Doctors, for looking after Scotty. He was diagnosed with diabetes mellitus recently . He was becoming skinny and my sister has keep me with updates. Since I’m in Ireland . I’ve been stuck here since the pandemic started. I got more worried and asked her to take here to Smith Veterinary. I know Scotty is on good hands meanwhile I’m getting ready to return home on February 10th 2022. Thank you 🙏

I had been going to a different vet and i will never go back to them ever again. I love the staff here at smith veterinary as well as the quick appointment they gave me. They understood my need to get my senior dog in and the the dr explained everything to me so well. Sweet lady. I am soooooo happy they helped my old man!!!!!!! He will be well taken care of along with my other 2 pups!!!!! Thank you Smith Veterinary for being so kind and caring!!!!!!

I just got a new puppy this month and took her to Smiths. Even with COVID they were able to schedule me an appointment quickly and took great care of my puppy while I had to stay in the parking lot. I met 3 different people that worked there even while sitting in my car. They were all so friendly and explained everything well. Everything was really well priced compared to some other vets I have been to for my other dog in the area. I’ll definitely be back to get my puppies next set of vaccines and they will most likely be her ongoing vet moving forward.
