Aquarela Gifts & Flowers

It’s 2024 now and Aquarela continues to be (to use a phrase I borrowed) a true example of flower shop gold. So what if I’m old and retired and living on a fixed income – the look my wife gets on her face when she sees the arrangements makes every penny worth it.

I'm sure I'm repeating myself, but I consider Aquarela's a true jewel of the San Gabriel Valley. I can be hard to please (although I'm generally quiet about it and just go elsewhere), but I and my wife (the recipient of these beautiful creations) are always extremely happy with the purchases from this shop.

Bonus: A genuinely nice buying experience with a genuinely nice person.

I've been buying from here for years and hope to continue doing so for many occasions to come.

I am always amazed by their arrangements. They are absolutely gorgeous and fresh so they last a long time. The owner is so friendly and responsive. Let her surprise you with a designer’s choice. You will never settle for flowers from a store again.

Amazing florist that I highly recommend. The bouquet was beautiful and delivered with care. I was sending it from out of state to a good friend on her birthday. Alejandra and her team was the florist for our wedding. She was so pleasant and so sweet to work with. I showed her inspo pictures of the florals I wanted and she knew exactly what style I was going for. During the mockup, I wanted to make some changes and she knew exactly what I wanted. We had some last minute add ons that I forgot to mention and she was able to do it without hesitation. The florals for our wedding day turned out to be so beautiful and exactly what we envisioned! I'm so glad we found them because they happened to be local to me. I used aquarela for my friends birthday bouquet and she loved them! They will definitely be my go to florist from now on.

Alejandra is indeed gifted and talented with her flower creations but I am most thankful for how she lifted my spirits up with her kindness and elegant designs when I was going through a deep loss. I now go to her regularly to bring home a bouquet of cheerfulness that reminds me how special and beautiful life is.

I always always recommend Ale and Doris when anyone needs florals for anything because they are so wonderful to work with. I did a styled wedding photoshoot when I first moved to CA and they put together not only one but TWO different floral sets each with different colors and pieces and I loved how the whole thing turned out. I also worked with Ale recently on a desert styled elopement in Joshua Tree and after sending her a few inspo photos she put together the perfect flower crown, bouquet, and even decorated a really cool boho chair for us to use. I will definitely order from this shop again in the future. Clear and polite communication, very fair pricing, and accommodated our delivery timeline perfectly. The gifts felt well curated and like I had picked them out individually myself.

This is my second purchase from Aquarela, and had a great experience this time around too. The plant was bigger than expected and the recipient of the gift was surprised and very happy upon delivery. I ordered a flower arrangement from Aquarela for my moms birthday recently and although I live in Kentucky, the shipment and handling of the flowers went very smooth. The flowers arrived very fresh and intact. Alejandra was always checking in the whole transit process until the arrangement made it to my door step. This is something that we don’t have in Kentucky neither in the surrounding states in the southeast so it was an unique experience. My mom loved the flowers. Aquarela has always provided an excellent experience. For the last several years they have been my "go to" florist and have never disappointed. Their arrangements are absolutely beautiful and their service is top notch!

I ordered from Aquarela this week and was not disappointed. The plants are beautiful and the energy inside the shop is amazing. The service was great and Alejandra helped me choose the perfect plant. I love this flower shop so much! I came in for a small bouquet and was not disappointed. My flowers lasted so long and the service inside the shop was incredible. This place is amazing and I will definitely recommend to everyone. I had my prom the next day and needed a boutonniere. Many places i called would not take my order shorthand and were outrageously expensive. I called and they were so nice and cooperative they gave me what I needed and exceeded my expectations a million times. It was so beautiful and the rose looked so amazing. The prices are so affordable. I would definitely go back for my next prom and will call them any time I need some flowers. (:

A couple of a weeks ago I needed to find some eucalyptus for a friend and was calling around all over for it. Nobody local happened to have it and while I was in Monrovia, I figured I'd try there too. I stopped by and I lucked out in a big way because they had a few different varieties! Alejandra was really nice and the shop was cool too. Plenty of smaller gifts in the front if you needed something, unfortunately it is a bit far from me normally, but otherwise I'd certainly stop by again for that.

Not your typical florist, which is a welcome change. Would gladly recommend this to others.

I celebrated my daughter's13th birthday in one of Aquarela's workshops, my daughter and her friends experienced the process of selecting and decorating an exquisite arrangement with succulents plants. The high quality of the products, the inviting atmosphere, and more importantly the personalized customer service from the owners (Alejandra and Doris) made our experience unique and special.

It is a place that I will be happy to visit again for gifts and flowers, and also for small special events.
