We had the pleasure of filming aerials of this beautiful property. Greg and Laurie (husband and wife) who run this place were great to collaborate with. Camp Nauvoo is a wonderful camp spot in the Gold Country for people who like simple camping. We loved seeing this hidden gem from the air! 🏕

We recently had the pleasure of camping at Camp Nauvoo, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Greg, the camp's owner, was an exceptional host who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. He surprised our two kids with a delicious cake for their birthday and even got us bait for fishing.

The campsite itself was clean, well-maintained, and surrounded by natural beauty. Our tent was just perfect, and we felt at home from the moment we arrived. Greg's hospitality was truly unmatched, and his attention to detail made our stay that much more enjoyable.

If you're looking for a great camping experience, we highly recommend Camp Nauvoo. Greg is an amazing host who will go out of his way to make sure you have a great time. We can't wait to come back!

A hidden gem in Placerville. Very clean, well-maintained, and surrounded by natural beauty. Run by a lovely husband-wife team. There's a beautiful meadow with a creek running through it, great amenities, and different style lodging from cabins to glamping tents. A perfect place for those who love the outdoors. 🌲

Fabulous! My daughter was married last weekend at Camp Nauvoo. She wanted, and got, a wedding venue where her friends and family could meet and get reacquainted over 3 days. Approximately 80 of her friends camped on site, in a variety of tent cabins, teepees and flat ground. A stream goes through the center of camp and the sound, late at night, is magical. The kitchen is very close to a commercial kitchen, with large fridge and freezer space and a huge cold room. The grounds are so, so, so well maintained and there are showers with hot water. Greg and his wife, Laurie, run the camp and are meticulous. The wedding was a huge success and everyone is exhausted from 3 days on celebration. And we all wish we could go to Camp Nauvoo next weekend and do it again.

My wife and I came here for a wedding event, and this place was beautiful! The road in was a winding, one lane road, but everything beyond the entrance gate was amazing. The venue was a picturesque valley with incredible grass and camp amenities. If you ever find yourself wondering if you should visit or camp or using the services that this place offers, of absolutely recommend it!

My family and I had an amazing time at camp Nauvoo, we stayed 3 days and two nights, this place was so beautiful and peaceful, we enjoyed our stay, when we arrived I meet Greg he was very respectful, nice, and welcoming, he was also very helpful when we needed help, the area was very cleaned the bathrooms were also kept clean, later that day I meet his wife Laurie she was also very nice, and respectful. My family were treated with respect and kindness, this is a very family friendly place, we felt really safe at camp, we enjoyed the volleyball court, very much, Greg and Laurie was so excited to see us playing volleyball they even took a few pictures, they said they were waiting for a family to play because they hadn’t seen anyone playing. We stayed in the Glamping tent #1, it was right next to the creek and waking up in the morning to the sounds of the water literally feet away was amazing, we also meet some really nice people that were camping as well, we really enjoyed our stay, we will be planning our next trip there soon!! I would give this place ten stars if I could!! I want to say thank you to Greg and Laurie for being so nice and welcoming to our family, and sharing their beautiful place with us!!
I can’t wait to plan the next trip there!!

We just got home from a fabulous long weekend at Camp Nauvoo. My husband and I joined my sister, her husband, and two kids (7 & 4 years old) and all of had a great time. The lodge was closed due to Covid 19, but that didn't effect our stay at all. We were in the two large clamping tents, which were quite large. The queen size bed was super comfortable, and there was plenty of seating at each tent, including 6 Adirondack chairs, a picnic table, and another small table with chairs where we put together a jigsaw puzzle:)

The tents bordered the stream, where the kids played most of the day. There are bathrooms with showers, a sink to do dishes.... I couldn't think of anything they missed. The owner was super friendly, and even lent our niece a fishing pole. Highly recommend!

We’ve been two camp nauvoo three summers in a row now. Usually we go in July and it is HOT during the day and nice and cool at night (cold enough to wear a beanies some nights!). This was our first time camping Memorial Day weekend and the day time temps were perfect, but night was pretty cold! Next time we will bring hand warmers to stick in our sleeping bags. It was also a bit damp in the mornings as
we stayed on the meadow in the big group site 16. Be prepared to rent a few propane canisters from Greg when it is that cold! The kids played endlessly in the creek and In the meadow and on the playground. We took the older kids (9-11) on the two mile hike on the property and it was quite the adventure! The facilities are always well maintained and the camp host is great at making sure you have everything you need. Bummed the lodge was closed but other than that, it felt like a normal covid-free camping trip!! We’ll be back for sure.

One of my favorite camping spots of all time! My family and I really enjoyed the scenery and the surrounding campgrounds with awesome trails.

My brother and I hiked up one of the trails within camp Nauvoo and a couple in the surround camp sites outside this camp ground. The one inside camp nauvoo is an easy/medium trail with a slopes that require getting those feet grounded and gripped to stay balanced, nothing too slippery. One the slopes has a rope tied to the trees to support yourself on the way up/down.

Greg was an awesome camp host. He heally goes the extra mile if you need help settling in, or extra accommodations.
They allow pets which is really awesome! (But not in the cabins). They are very pet friendly everywhere else and encourage pets at the camping site.

They offer great amenities...clean restrooms and showers, a lodge with games, books, toys for all ages, coffee/kitchen available, an eating area with high chair available and BBQ grills are available. They also host weddings venues with their own built in bride cave for when she’s getting ready with cute photo op interior/exterior.

The tents are cool and offer cots already inside, just need your sleeping bag and some extra blankets because it gets really cold up there. The cabins are furnished with beds, tables, and hot stove inside with a deck and porch available.

And not very far they have al the recreational activities. My brother an I were playing ping-pong while our family sat outside in the river with the floaters they have available.

They do have a strict quiet-time policy that allows people to get a good rest. Quiet-time is from 10p-7am. Gives you time to enjoy the quiet time and get a good nights rest.

Our family made such great memories, and we wouldn’t mind driving back just to experience with darling camping site.

This was my first time booking a campsite through hipcamp and I am so glad I did. I love camping but my husband is not a big fan of all the work that goes into it, this was a perfect balance - convenient camping. We could still do camp cooking, but didn't have to worry about pitching a tent or non flush toilets.

We booked site #4 and it was perfect, very close to the bathrooms and shaded all day.

There were 2 cots with a mattress type base and 1 bunk bed (no mattress). We were able to move the cots around as they were very light.

We paid $30 extra for the propane to get a camp fire going (no cooking on this one) and it definitely upped the experience.

There were tons of games and books to chose from. The bathrooms were clean. There was even some dish soap and napkins which was convenient.

The hosts prepared smores one night and we enjoyed ourselves. We forgot to carry a lamp and the hosts were kind enough to lend us one.

We hiked to Bassi falls about an hour away which was gorgeous. We also check out Placerville main st which was super cute.

I think this site is perfect for couples or families.

ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKING.
I'm beyond in love with this place deep in the woods. Pictures does not do this place justice.
The owner was amazing and so kind.
If your into nature & want a meadow/fairy/nature vibe THIS IS YOUR PLACE. Going to have to plan a camping trip out here with my littles and family.
No amount of words I can type can match the beauty and serene piece of land has. Definitely recharged me in a way like no other

Camp Nauvoo is an amazing campground for people who want to put up their own tent or go glamping!

The campgrounds has great modern facilities like a kitchen, big walk in fridge, toilets and showers. There is a fire pit where you can have a campfire and through the middle of the campgrounds runs a lovely creek where kids can swim.

The campgrounds are located on the outskirts of Placerville so a town is nearby for groceries but you'll have no trouble from traffic nearby.

We spent the weekend in the large family teepee and it was a great experience. Camping in a teepee was a wonderful experience for our kids and we also enjoyed the propane gas fire that comes with the teepee. Especially because campfires are forbidden this time of the year (fire danger)

Upon arrival and throughout our stay the hosts were very welcoming. Always making sure our stay was going as well as can be and the organized smores night was a great adventure too.

The location of the campground is stunning. A beautiful valley and a refreshing creek. There are several gas barbecues available to prepare a meal.

Definitely recommend this place to people who want to enjoy "glamping" but also if you come with your own tent.

Hosted a wedding here a few weeks ago - gorgeous venue, friendly and flexible staff, and has all the amenities you could need for an event, like changing room, bathrooms, a restaurant-style kitchen, and furniture for 100+ people!
