Tom's Burger & Frosty

This is my new favorite burger place in Placerville. The food is always home cooked and delicious. The serving portions are beyond fair and the prices are fair for the taste and size. It’s expensive anywhere you go to eat out now so if I’m going to spend money eating out, I’d happily give it to Tom’s Burgers. If you like the old fashioned dipped cones and sundae, this place has the BEST!!

Really fresh, not greasy, good prices, friendly staff. Delicious burger... Burger was hot, lettuce/tomato cold like it should be. Fries were fresh cooked and not too salty. I didn't have a shake, but I saw one and it looked tasty. I dined in and it was very clean. I will absolutely go here again.

Anytime it get on that end of placerville, I stop in for a root Beer freeze and fries. They never disappoint. Tell Tracy, the owner that Coach sent you!

I always have to stop by here when visiting my family. The frosty/deserts are so good and a great selection to choose from. The combo of a cheeseburger, fries, and a frosty is quite comforting. Can't find dipped cones like there used to be but low and behold, they are here--it's quite a childhood comfort!

Tom's was unfortunately closed for awhile but I'm happy to say they are back open!! They're having a soft opening right now but they're back in full swing. My favorite are their tenders and fries basket with a peppermint shake. Their desserts are absolutely the best and so much to choose from. You will not be disappointed.

Good burger and surprisingly good fries.

Hands down this place is a must try if you haven't already! The locals know what I am talking about! This will take you back to the good ol days when burgers, fries, and shakes were within the classic scene. Great food, and service! Stop in, you will be glad you did!

Dairy Queen was good but Tom's is a few steps above in both quality and flavor. Try the Cowboy for a rib sticking, tasty burger 🍔.

Great burgers and milkshakes.

We stopped on our way home from Apple Hill after not wanting to fight the crowds there. Saw that Tom’s had great reviews so everyone agreed to Tom’s. All of the kids say it was the “BEST EVER” we all left very full and a very nice man made the kids their cone of choice! Also they too were crowded but had excellent crowd control and everyone seemed happy we were there. I highly recommend, especially for a good old frosty!

Love this place! Just look at these cones! Best burger spot in placerville. Nice atmosphere with nostalgic oldies playing. Indoor and outdoor seating. The guy behind the counter working is super nice and cute! 🤩 Looking forward to coming back for a banana split and onion rings! Yummy!

Tried for the 1st time! The burgers are so big & I love their fries! We also ordered a shake that was really yummy too! I'll definitely return again soon! MJ

The BEST!! Great burgers best fries and the milk shakes are delicious!! Nobody can touch the warm friendly service Tom's Burgers offers. We have been bringing our grandson's there since they were toddlers. It's the kind of place you grow up going to and you never forget.

Just stopped in for a root beer float and a milkshake on way from Lake Tahoe to Sacramento Airport. So glad we did. Ultra-friendly staff happy to take order at counter. Jessica had her heart, and tastebuds, set on a float and was delighted with the soft-serve product. I was set on a chocolate milkshake (vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup of course), but quickly changed my mind when I saw they made a chocolate chip shake, which are increasingly difficult to find. Both were sooth-as-silk heavenly and packed with flavor. Despite the good-sized crowd on a late Wednesday afternoon, our treats were prepared and delivered quickly. As we'd already had lunch in Placerville, no food this time, but the all-American menu looked straight out of the 1960s with dogs, bacon-burgers, fries and rings. The diverse crowd of all ages was lapping it up in the warm spring sun just west of downtown on old Highway 50. I give it an enthusiastic fives stars for a reason. You will too!

Went here on a hot afternoon after picking up the kids from school. The staff made 2 small errors (which they fixed once brought to their attention immediately) and the manager also gave us 3 complimentary small ice creams for the trouble. Awesome staff and management! Food is great.
