Amerikan Ichi Sushi

I had an excellent dining experience at Amerikan Ichi in Placerville, CA. This clean and cozy spot serves amazing food with high-quality sushi and fresh ingredients. The customer service was outstanding, making the entire experience even better. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a top-notch sushi place!… oh, and the Lobster roll, everyone needs to try at least once, so good!

Delicious sushi. Cozy atmosphere in the institution. Very good and friendly staff. When I came to order I was asked to wait another 5 minutes. While I was waiting, they brought me dessert and apologized for having to wait again. That was very nice of them. The dessert was also delicious. I would like to come to this restaurant again.

We enjoy sitting at the sushi bar and talking with the sushi artists. Sushi is always good, and they will make whatever you like. Our go-to sushi place in Placerville.

Fantastic sushi! Our first time here, so we just had rolls, but the food rolling out to other tables looked amazing too. Very fresh, very tender. Zero tough spots or fibers. Colorful and beautiful presentation too. Service was friendly but very busy, so be prepared to wait for any followup attention. Cozy local vibe, too, loved it!

The food amazing somtimes you have to wait for perfection. Service the boys are truly busy. We got our drinks and they never came back. Only down fall.

Best Sushi we have ever eaten. The price is great and the rolls not only have beautiful presentation but they taste unbelievable. The staff is amazing right from the owner to the chiefs right down to the waiters/waitresses all are amazing.

This place is the perfect combination of big city flavor and small town atmosphere. Every plate was a work of art and every bite was a wonderful adventure for the taste buds. The atmosphere is inviting and comfortable. The staff were all super friendly. The sushi chefs really take their craft to heart.

If you are near Placerville and longing for sushi, then Amerikan Ichi is a must. Try my favorites, the Tom and the Macho. Tell them I sent you.. it won't get either of us anything special and they won't know what you are talking about, but I'll laugh thinking about it.

Edit: Still amazing. I have more recommendations. I would now say my favorites in order are: Tom, Fajita, Lobster, and Macho.

EXCELLENT food and service, I love the staff, chefs and especially the owner. Everything I’ve tried here is top-notch and you really can’t go wrong. I’ve been a regular patron for 10 years and I will be until the end of time! I recommend Amerikan Ichi to all my friends!

This place is the best kept secret of Placerville so happy to find a good sushi place.

First sit in we had in a long time! Such an excellent experience! Delicious Sake, delicious rainbow rolls, delicious mochi, and a great dining experience! Thank you very much!

Amazing! The food was delicious... the staff was super friendly... our waitress recommended the new sake special that comes with 4 different shots for $11 (or $17 for premium sake) giving you 8 sakes to choose from... they were all very flavorful and went well with our meal. Our sushi was so delicious and fresh and for the first time ever we did not ha e any leftovers to take home! Definitely recommend, definitely going back.

Outstanding sushi but incredibly slow service every time I come here. It’s probably because everything is handmade and takes time.

Not open when they say. Craving sushi 45 minutes before they lose and they can’t make it. Bad service but amazing food.

One of my absolute favorite sushi places! Attentive service, good drink options and a REAL sushi chef that creates awesome flavor combos. Also huge groovy salt water tank behind the sushi bar.

I was hesitant about going after reading some of the reviews but I'm glad I went! excellent food and service. I'm not a sushi fan but the others in my party wanted to go there . they have a lot of cooked dishes that are great. Their rice is fantastic as well. I had a tempora citrus chicken that was to die for. I highly recommend this place. prices good as well

Awsome sushi. Tables plus a bar. Very pretty food. Made right at the bar. Play sports games on a projector some nights. Big saltwater fish tank with exotic fish is their center of attention. Bring friends. Not the best for sushi beginners. You will get lost in the menu so I suggest the fajita roll. Chef loves to make them.
