I am very excited to say best dentist and office staff I have experienced in a long time. The front desk ladies were so comforting and professional at the same time,, in everything from calling me to verify my appointment, to arriving in the office, to taking my x-rays, and the Dentist herself outstanding! She was the best ever and I want to Thank them all!
Sincerely ,
Kimberly Shurtz

I am surprised to see all the bad reviews with this office because we had GREAT experience here. My mom needs an implant and this office offered us a really good deal. Dr. Ngo was extremely attentive and I can tell she is one of those few dentists who TRUELY care about her patients. I will DEFINITELY come back if I need any dental work!!

I love Dr. Ngo. Yeah, sometimes the front desk people are rude and disorganized, but they're high school kids, so... Dr. Ngo is very professional and honest with you about your teeth. She can lay out a treatment plan for you based on cost and need, and she's very up front about what you need to have done. Highly recommend.

This place is great! Everyone in the office is polite and friendly. Dr. Ngo does great work and is very professional. The practice itself clean and welcoming. I highly recommanded this place if you want quality care.

Well, this was certainly the most unusual experience I have ever had at any dental office.
After waiting 1/2 hour for the dentist to tell me to come back, I returned two weeks later, to get my two back teeth extracted.
Let me say from day one, every person I came in contact with, was extremely polite and professional.
I arrived 10 minutes early, signed all the consent forms and waited.
A little after two the really nice assistant got me and took me back to the procedure room.
She asked the usual questions and said, the doctor is running a little late and there is one person ahead of you.
I really am patient and attempt to look at things from another person's point of view so, I said, "No Problem."
So, I waited.
She came around about 10 minutes later and asked me if I wanted a pillow. I said, "sure."
I waited. About a half hour later I had to go to the bathroom. I got up went to the bathroom and it was almost three o'clock.
I mentioned to the assistant and she said, "you have one person ahead of you." I assumed she meant the same person, so I went back and waited.
I heard the person in the next room calling out, "Hey! Excuse me. Is it going to be much longer??!"
The assistant came in, saying she was sorry and there was one person ahead of her. The patient said she didn't have time to wait and left.
So, it was running towards 3:30 and I had to go to the bathroom again.
I went out and there was the dentist looking through her drawers.
"I have to pee again because it's taking you so long." I blurted out.
I was getting angry which, I like to avoid at all costs.
After waiting another 10 minutes, she came shuffling in. She drags her feet,
It doesn't bother me, at least I know she is there but ,some people it really bothers them.
"Great." I said to myself "Finally!" She gave me a novocaine injection and left.
About a half hour later, she came back, pulled the tray out and set up the rinse machine and left.
By this time I was saying to myself, "Oh my God. Sweet Jesus save me."
Then, about fives minutes later, she came shuffling back in, put a tool down and left again.
She did this about four times.
The fifth time, I said, "Are we going to do this or what?" I was getting angrier.
"Yes, Yes" she said Be patient.
She then proceeded to pull out some type of huge ladle/putty knife about three inches wide and started shoving it into my mouth.
She then pulled out her iPhone and was trying to take pictures of my teeth. Banging away at my good teeth, while she went.
She was then demanding that I, "Move my tongue out of the way."
"Move my tongue out of the way!?" I said "I can't even feel my tongue!"
Now I was angry and raised my voice,
"What are you doing??!!" I said "I have never seen a dentist use a metal thing like that and shouldn't you have some help!!?"
Suddenly ,the assistant appeared from the next room and it then took her 30 seconds to get the photos.
While the assistant was there, it took her 5 minutes to extract the teeth.
Funny, she said it would be an involved procedure with sectioning the teeth etc.
She just pulled them out.
I had to stop her during the extraction and say, "You are leveraging the metal pliers against my good tooth to pull the bad ones. Please stop."
She then covered my teeth with her finger and leveraged off of those.
So, there you go.
I apologized to her for raising my voice.
It is not my goal in life to put negativity out there.
Suggestions
1. If you need the patient to move their tongue, and be able to control their tongue, WAIT on the novocain!
2. If someone calls in sick, call your patients and tell them you need to reschedule because two people called in sick.
It is better than getting your practice backed up, two hours.
3. Organize your tools so you are not going back and forth so much.
The doctor seems very nice and the staff is great.
She just needs more help I guess.
Her staff is nice. I hate judging people but, I had a really bad experience.

Do not bring your kids here. Dr.ngo is extremely rude unprofessional and uncaring about the pain she is inflicting and will dismiss any and all concerned about your child in the pain they are suffering due to her hand. She seemed very rushed and annoyed when questioned about procedures taking place and flat out refused to answer any questions directing us to the nurse I will never bring my child or myself to this sadistic woman again

The dental assistants are very sweet… but the doctors style is very very old school…. And slightly painful the doctor seemed careless and annoyed and super rough for why? I have not been back since but it honestly still haunts me and when I was trying to communicate it didn’t feel numb or it was painful I was just told that I just haven’t been to the dentist in awhile.. also I sat there for 3 hours just to get one extraction done that was already super broken.. so long story short I have been going to tribal health and have had a lot of work done and no pain and the compassion they have is amazing. I’m not one to complain but sheesh… bad experience hope better for others. Maybe if you need a veneer or crown I guess it’s the place but a dentist office for pain do not go.

As a new patient I expected better... Xray then wait 15 minutes then polish and wait 15 more minutes... Nobody communicating... so I got out of the chair to see what's going on...so finally a woman comes up and says I will examine your teeth...I say who are you? She says she's the doctor... You don't introduce yourself to new patients?...then she wasn't gentle like a good dentist is...poor personality...never had a cleaning without tartar scraping... I will not be going back.

Staff doesn't get back to you in a timely manner. Most of the time the phone just rings and rings. I have been trying to schedule my appointment for 3 weeks. I keep getting the excuse that the Dr is not in. If you are in pain , this is NOT a dental office you can rely on.

Personally I think it’s wonder that she excepts Medi-Cal, because so many doctors don’t. However, that being said I would never have went to her if I didn’t have Medi-Cal. First of all her staff barely answers the phone, and it’s difficult to get them to call you back to make an appointment. Three different times I made an appointment, and they somehow confused when my appointment was. Living an hour and a half away from there I had to sit in the waiting room for them to have time to do something with me, because they’ve messed up my appointment time (every time I went there). Secondly the actual dentistry is bad. She filled a cavity in my front tooth. So obviously I wanted to color match exact, because that’s what you see when I smile. The color was two shades off, so it looked like I had a yellow stain on my tooth. I had to have somebody else redo it. on another visit I had an active cavity on my tooth, I told her where it was you could see the hole. She drilled a different hole in my tooth, and fill that hole with filling. I have no words to express my shock in her inability. The third problem I had with her was when I had a bite guard made, she never smooth it out the bottom of the bite the way it was supposed to. It never fit right, and I paid over $300 for it. So I had to go to another dentist to get it adjusted, because at that point I had lost any faith in her ability. I don’t recommend her.

The awful old woman at the front desk is rude and should take steps to learn what compassion and empaty are.

My dental work at Brookside Dental was the worst dental experience of my life. They said I needed 3 crowns that included a root canal because of an infected tooth. I was there all afternoon because there was a lot of waiting involved. The work was handled in an unprofessional manner with the office staff giving advice to the dentist.

Even before the final work I had the temporary three crowns come loose. I just stuck them back in place until I could get back to the dentist.
Total cost was $3200.00.

The worse dental office I’ve been in!!!
If I could give minus star I would
I had X-ray done without a protection- hello
Than dental assistant polish your teeth before dentist scraps plaque out!!!
Than Dentyst comes by and … she doesn’t do any scraping at all…and that supposed to be teeth cleaning WOW
I think if it was 1900 we would get better service sorry
I wouldn’t send an enemy there !!!
