Preventive Dental Care

I developed a (pocket) after the wisdom teeth extraction I received...it was gross and I was furious, so I went to a different dentist . This other dentist said that the pocket was probably because my wisdom teeth where impacted for so long . He continued to say that the root canal was done very expertly by preventive dental and the wisdom teeth extraction was darn near impossible to pull off, yet it was also pulled off flawlessly. Infact it was one of the best root canals he had seen and one of the most arduous wisdom teeth extractions possible. They did lose my x-rays and I needed to do a second round of xrays. All in all they did a good job considering I have medical and I didn't pay for any of it. Only real down side is I am waiting a long time for my root canal to be capped . They are suppose to be capped withing 30 days. I probably should have asked them to approve the cap from my insurance before hand and also schedule the capping in advanced to avoid the possibility of the filling deteriorating before the cap can be put in place . Lesson learned ... This place is busy and the dentist is skilled . I will be using them in the future if my insurance will allow it .

I had my upper teeth pulled and dentures at the same time. I thought the Doctor and all the staff were highly trained and absolutely knew what they were doing. If a staff member was new and not sure of something the Doctor was right on it. If I couldn't understand what the Dr. was saying, a staff member was right there to explain it to me. He runs a tight ship and the results were awesome. I do believe they don't get the credit they deserve. I rate them as the best. Linda Renk

I went in with an emergency appointment as I thought my tooth had cracked.
Turns out it was a much less serious situation but I was still rushed in and taken care of. The lady who did my teeth was so sweet and caring. Thank you guys so much for making it a pleasant experience for me. I’m terrified of the dentist but today made me feel so much more comfortable to keep coming back.

Best dental office I have ever been in. Incredibly organized. Did not have to wait at all. Each person does their different job great. Everyone is very nice and they all work together. They cleaned my teeth!! First dentist in years to to that. Felt great. From the receptionist to the Doctor and everyone in between, they were GREAT!!

Dr. Han went completely out of his way to save my teeth and give me porcelain crowns when he could have just pulled them all and given me dentures! Don't be fooled- he's a sweetheart.

Amazing, fast, and easy! I had my doubts at first but he completed my root canal in about 20 minutes! I will never doubt Dr. Haan again!

I had two crowns done in this office. They are look good and feels right. I am coming back for more work.

To the point and clear. They arent sucking up to you they tell it like it is. You have state insurance you will get what you pay for.

Great dentist and assistants !!! Always leave satisfied . No need to ask for anything they know what they are doing and what you need .

The reviews on this make the Dr. Han seem far scarier than he is. His communication is absolutely god awful, but he seems to have done the job I needed done, quickly and with minimal pain. If you need a hand holder, he's not the guy. Beyond that, I had x-rays and and 9 teeth pulled in under an hour and a half. Wife was a little annoyed....thought she'd have more time away from me. All business with Han. Come prepared to get to work. (If you're reasonably stoic otherwise, he will immediately tend to pain you feel with no hesitation). 5 stars if he or his staff would give a running play by play so I wasn't so clueless as to where we were in the procedure.

I've been going here for a number of years, and have had bridgework, fillings, and general dentistry and cleanings, and have had no serious complaints. But the main reason I go is cost- his prices are far less than any other dentist I've found for similar work,- I pay out of pocket, but he also takes virtually all dental plans, including medi-cal. My brief recommendation is if you can afford higher prices or have a good dental plan, there are many other dentists that will give you a much better office experience- though I'm not sure better care.

Pros:
-Dr Han is a very competent dentist, really knows his craft, and has never recommended any work that wasn't needed, even redid a procedure for free he felt his hygienist didn't do well enough. I believe he really cares about preventive care and the welfare of his patients. Gets the job done quickly and skillfully.
-I go regularly for cleanings and the hygienists ( two different ones) have always been pleasant and competent.

Cons:
-His "bedside manner" could be considered brusque at best. Hard to understand at times, and doesn't really explain procedures well, though will if pressed. Always seems rushed.
-The staff can be indifferent or even rude. I'm just really firm back at them.
-Hard to get through via phone for appointments
- Office is old, can hardly be considered up to date.

Had a root canal here, price was right, service was good. Also came back for a cleaning and follow up exam. Don't be scared by negative reviews, many are sensitive or with kids, he does a volume business to keep prices low, no time to babysit.

The staff was very friendly. The doctor was very fast and made sure I was completely numb before starting the extraction...I couldn't believe how painless it was! Very happy , I would recommend preventive dental to all my friends and family.

I thought Dr. Han and his team did a good job, they were very friendly and helpful. It took a while to be seen but otherwise we felt very comfortable there.
