Telecare El Dorado County Psychiatric Health Facility

I had a good experience here. The physiologist dr. Lee listened to what I had to say and took everything into consideration. The staff here is great and they still treat you like a person. The place isn’t the cleanest but they’ll be getting a better cleaning service hopefully soon. The food was better than I expected and you never go hungry. I strongly recommend this facility. Thank you for taking care of me while I was there. P.s. hate that I didn’t finish that puzzle though.

It was awful. They force fed me depakote crushed up with vanilla pudding to wash it down they made me take med cocktails without consent they over medicated me i couldn't write without my hands shaking like crazy iwas drooling they were trying to kill with obscene amounts of depakote it seemed and they kept me there over month trying to gravelly disable me they are terrible and this occured in 2002

This facility is a complete joke to work for. They treat you terrible. Favoritism at its finest. If your not hired by telecare and are from
A agency they treat you especially bad. Hands down the worst experience I’ve ever had at any job in my life. The management is bad. The employees are bad. The only good part were some of the patients I got to meet while helping them out while working here. I could write a book about how bad my experience here has been but I’ll spare you all. Just steer clear of this place.

South Lake Tahoe Office aka BUFFOONVILLE USA. Absolutely no accountability, leadership, planning skills, social skills, sense of urgency, organizational skills, knowledge of basic mental and medical health issues. In summary, the complete lack of basic common sense. Their treatment is consists of 10 minutes a month with someone who claims to be a psychiatrist. Why are the taxpayers spending money on an organization that does more harm than good?

Listens to your calls with loved ones, will refuse visits if your top is too low cut. Will make you not touch like you're in prison and watch you like a halk when you are aloud to visit. Will call you a liar and say you snuck contraband in when you didn't. Makes your husband's life harder and mental health worse. Will also make you only bring food from restaurants "because if he gets sick it's our fault" like my cooking has EVER made anyone sick. They're offensive and break the law not disclosing that they listen to your calls. RUN AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. Wish I could give it 0 stars. Good luck to anyone stuck here hope you can get to Oregon they have wayyyyy better mental health care there.

Your place is trash! You treat patients like objects instead of humans! You constantly just mark their behavior instead of listening to what they actually are feeling. Your paid workers are doing more harm then good. Thanks for messing me up just a little bit more!

Horrible time here. Stripped of everything and terrible at listening. Everyone is mixed together, causing more stress for less severe/handicapped patients. Screwed up my personal information. Caused more harm than good.

You know, it is easy to just judge the place based on its appearance, but it was more than that. I gave the place a shot and the Admin JAMIE and Doctor disappointed me terribly. I filed a complaint and an investigation is underway and I hope the social workers, staff, doctors, and admin learn their PLACE.

I tried to call and ask for more information during a crisis and the woman on the phone was very rude and amplified my frustration and depression.
