GlenMorey Country House Bed and Breakfast Inn

My honey and I needed a getaway and this historic gem did not disappoint. We were greeted with freshly baked cookies and a gorgeous cozy suite that made us feel like we were world's away from the stresses of modern life. The suite was impeccable and we loved the jetted tub and the ultra comfortable bed. The owner brought a delicious breakfast to our door in the morning which was the icing on the cake of our stay. We will definitely be back and highly recommend to anyone looking for a bit of peace and tranquility and comfort 😊

My stay here was amazing! The house was beautifully decorated for the holidays, and my room was warm, cozy, and well cleaned. My dog enjoyed exploring the property and we were only a five minute walk to Main Street where there are plenty of shops and places to eat. Tom was very communicative and friendly and breakfast was delicious! I would definitely stay again!

Cozy country house just outside of Placerville. Nice rooms with a large coffee selection and a lovely common area. Self check-in which is always nice.

We made a last minute reservation so we could stay the night in the middle of a road trip, self check in was easy, the Aberdeen room was lovely, the private patio was perfect, the large tub (with plenty of hot water to fill it!) was a wonderful amenity to enjoy. The breakfast was good, presentation was nice. Our only regret was not having more time to spend there!

Had family coming to Placerville and Tom reserved a room on a week's notice. He makes a wonderful breakfast and the house was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Will always use Glen Morey!

My family was in town for a wedding and we stayed here. I am so happy we did! We absolutely loved it here! ❤ Beds were comfortable, breakfast was amazing, rooms were clean. The owners are wonderful and treated us like a family guest. The home itself is ultra charming and grounds are unique and interesting to explore. Highly recommend this place!

My husband and I spent our Anniversary here. This place was so charming and quiet. The host named Tom was very friendly and hospitable. We will definitely come back. Our breakfast was brought promptly at 9 am every morning. I would highly recommend this delightful little B&B to anyone who wants to be treated kindly. The house overlooks the town and situated on top of a hill. I loved the old fashioned wood flooring and vintage decor. Thank you so much for making our visit so pleasant!

Our stay here was wonderful. Will definitely return. Tom and crew were warm and helpful and not at all intrusive.The BnB is 165 years old intriguing and fun…and you are transformed to the 1800’s, but with a cozy bed. We sat by the fireplace in two different areas and enjoyed a nightcap each night and I tried playing an old autoharp in one of the living rooms. We enjoyed researching a bit about the home and surrounding area. The environment was just what we were seeking. Quiet respite and change of scenery to comfort a recent loss and memorial in the area. A lovely breakfast in our room one day…and Tom packed us a breakfast to go when we had to leave early on our last day. It was just the thing. I wish we could have stayed and enjoyed more of Placerville.

My family of three stayed two nights in the Inverness room, it was quiet and relaxing. The king size bed was very comfortable and the water pressure was good. The host was nice and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious both mornings. We all loved the pecan apple French toast. Location was perfect, just a quick five minute walk to historic Placerville shops and restaurants. We will definitely be back.

I want to thank Tom for getting back to me regarding very short notice from a worry some of a mother that I am. My daughter Jess and her family were in the snow and every one was booked so they were going to stay in their car with there small ones. Thank you all so much for feeding them a home cooked meal and a homely shelter for the night they all said bi and ty but no one was around. Your such a blessing.

I stayed at this place many times during my trips to Eldorado county. Very cozy and comfortable , clean and the owners are great. They make great breakfast as well. Highly recommended

This is a lovely bed and breakfast! They have a number of rooms. The price at $100 for a Saturday night I thought was very good. There's a beautiful common room. The breakfast area is set up for a dozen or more people. Tom the owner greeted me as I arrived. He was considerate at making first name introductions to other guests as he showed me through the house. The interior decorating is period based with many unique items and lovely. I had a beautiful bedroom and a large bathroom. They have a croquett set and a large front lawn to play it on. It's just the other side of the freeway right next to the pedestrian crossover City Hall parking lot.

Very comfortable room with a private patio. Delicious, hot breakfast brought right to our room in the mornings. The innkeepers were very friendly and went above and beyond to make mine and my husband's stay perfect!

I highly recommend!!!! This place was in a extremely isolated/creepy area (which we enjoyed). My husband and I had a private backyard with chairs and a firepit to enjoy. The room/dining area was clean and beautiful decorated with an old rustic theme to it; the owner/manager was courteous; the breakfast was freshly made and served to us (even the orange juice was poured for us). We will be going back soon!!!!

We have been staying here for over 12 years. It is one of our favorite places to stay. The rooms are just what you want in a b and b. You are walking distance to downtown Placerville. The breakfast is amazing and the atmosphere is charming. Highly recommend.

The GlenMorey B&B has character and charm. The accommodations met our needs and it was a short walk to the downtown shopping center. We also loved the chicken visits in the morning when we stayed in the Aberdeen room. When we stayed for breakfast we were given a delicious quiche, sausage, OJ, and cranberry sconces.

I've been staying at Placerville B&B's my whole life and bringing my family to the GlenMorey was a real treat! Tom and Alison have very festive seasonal decorations up and they're very kind and easy to work with. The house is interesting and welcoming. The rooms are well-appointed and they each have heat and air so the temperature is always comfortable. Our family stayed in the Edinburgh and Inverness rooms which are large and have big bathrooms, too. The breakfast Tom served each day was delicious and plentiful. We'll be back for more as their hospitality was exceptional! Thank you Tom and Alison!

I am an evacuee from the Caldor Fire and am staying here until I can return home. The owners are very kind and have gone above and beyond to help many evacuees from the fire. The rooms are beautiful and clean, the breakfasts are fantastic and there is plenty of room to walk my dog. Do not hesitate to stay here, especially when you aren't evacuated from a fire.

I wish I could give the service 10 stars. This place is fabulous. Lovely breakfast brought to your room and if you need to leave early the pack you a nice breakfast to go!!!

Beautiful quaint home on a quiet hill overlooking downtown Placerville. Host was incredibly friendly and cooked a delicious breakfast every morning. Check in/check out was very easy. Will definitely stay again in the future.
