T.W.BONKERS ‘Toy & Candy Emporium’ and Ice Cream!

Candy and toys,O My. I really liked the next to impossible to find old school candies and toys I ate and played with as a kid. T.W.Bonkers is full of nostalgia. I highly recommend a stop into this shoppe when your in Old Town Placerville.

We visit this store every time we're in Placerville because they have so many fun things and also quite a bit of nostalgia for toys from my childhood. I haven't tried the extensive candy collection, but it's for sure extensive and tempts me every time

Wide selection of candy, chocolates and ice cream. This place also doubles as a toy store with a wide variety of those of being STEM. A small selection of children's books also available. Friendly staff that provide a cool ghost history of the town.

I like this place they have just about everything you could imagine candies from way back in the day(1950's) wonderful toys so much to look at.... looking at everything can take a while...they have some great cards....a fun place to visit.

Fun store! They have my favorite jelly belly flavors - pina colada and pineapple. Lots of neat gift items.

Your chocolate truffles are amazing!! Definitely will be stopping there whenever we are in the area.

My wife and I were super excited to see a toy store and needed to go in. It's a cozy little store with a lot of cool toys for the kids. If you're in the area, definitely make a stop and pick up a couple things for your children.

Always something unique and surprising to find here. Love the taffy and old time candy! Also, owner Tony genuinely cares about his customers and goes above and beyond in customer service. Totally awesome place. If your looking for the magic of a toy store as when you were a kid this is the place , with an awesome owner and a great selection of candies and desserts. Every time I get to come I feel like a kid again. BEST TOY STORE in the Sacramento and surrounding areas.

This wonderful toy store started small and is only growing and getting better every year. My mother always buys her "Toys for Tots" selections at this shop every Christmas. It's nice to have a useful and imaginative store on Main Street with such a happy atmosphere.

This shop is part of the charm on Main Street Placerville! Kids love the environment, and there are demos of Many toys for them to experience. The owner encourages them to interact and he is so fun! Prices are fair and unlike big chain stores, when I need help finding a gift for anything from a baby shower (great non toxic toys), to big kids (games, fidget cubes, spinners and magic tricks), the friendly employees always help me find the perfect thing every time!!!

I brought my 8 year old in to shop for his birthday. We had such a fun time perusing this fun eclectic store! My son had an awesome time picking out treasures for his special day and when he told the cashier it was his birthday, the man informed him that he would be getting a free candy at check out! My son chose a slide whistle lollypop for his free candy, and the man slipped another extra candy in the bag as well! It was a perfect birthday outing for a boy and his Mom.

I love this store! Toys from the 70's and 80s and great candy that isn't in every store that sells candy. The things i loved the best was their salt water taffy and jelly candy! Plus great customer service so without a doubt I will definitely go back and I would recommend.

Tony is so incredibly helpful and generous. We've taken our son in there multiple times only to leave with toys that he Cherishes and loves. It's great to come to a toy store that feels like a toy store from my childhood...when you felt a sense of delight and magic! Great to have a store like this in Placerville!

This store is absolutely magical it reminds me of the original Willy Wonka movie. Such a creative reflection of what we all want for our children to experience. Young or older you can go into the store and you will be in a world of pure imagination. Candy from my childhood, my folks childhood and my Grandma’s childhood. Toys for every interest your kids are into or didn’t even know existed. Such an amazing variety. It is a must stop when you’re in Placerville!!

We love T.W. Bonkers Toy & Candy Emporium. My little boy and I regularly stop in to see what unique toy or game we can purchase this time... They carry a great selection of toys and games, they even sell yummy hand-made chocolates and have an amazing candy selection, (reminds me of when I was a child). They recently opened a retro arcade at the rear of the store, Pacman, Donkey Kong, Air Hockey and more… Tony and all of the employees are friendly and more than happy to assist. We’ve been regular customers for the past 8 years and are looking forward to many more great years ahead!

There are some really creative and teaching toys. They have a great selection of candies. Fun decor and helpful staff. We bought a mixed bag of salt water taffy and not much of it made it 🏡. We took a few pictures, so look there too!

My son loves this toy and candy store (and his parents love it too). Great selection of quality toys you're not likely to find at a big box store. My son loves the Hape train display and I'm enjoying the salt water taffy selection a bit too much. There are a number of retro elements to the store ranging from it's toy and candy selection to the mini arcade in the back - be sure to come with quarters and enjoy some Spiderman pinball, Street Fighter, Donkey Kong, Ms Pac Man, or Centipede.!

I have two nephews and I can never think of cute, unique gifts for them. Enter t.w. Bonkers! This place always has cool toys and gifts and come Christmas and birthday time, I am a huge hit with the kiddos! LOVE this store!
