The service is INCREDIBLE! BEST PLACE I HAVE EVER GOTTEN SERVICE. I had the mushroom burger and it was good, but the curly fries, were GREAT I could eat just awhole plate of curly fries

I popped in for an early lunch and to my surprise this little place is big on atmosphere and taste.
I ordered the Soul Burger with Garlic Curly Fries and everything was cooked perfectly and wonderful seasoning and flavor.
The staff was extremely attentive and polite.
I highly recommend for a good old fashioned Hamburger with Small Town feel.

Folks this is by far the best burger place I've been to in California. It is one of the very few restaurants that get better as the time goes. The owners and the staff are very nice and professional. They have a variety of burgers, including bison and elk amd lamb,hot sandwiches a few different salads to choose from including garden, caesar and chicken fruit salad that has seasonal fruits and veggies added. This way its seasonally a little bit different. All their products are locally bought and organic. Zoe's gluten free rolls are superb. None of their foods are industrial grown. The owner John is a good man, treats his employees and customers like family always. I would highly recommend this place to everyone in California and abroad.

Coming from Tahoe and driving to the Bay Area not knowing we’re to stop to eat . Oh yeah I’m a food snob. Food was amazing very detailed. For sure this will be my stop when we go to south lake. Burgers and chicken sandwiches were amazing. Friendly, quick service too.

This place is a gem. Had the elk burger, wagon wheel, garlic fries, sweet potato dollops, grilled veg, split pea soup, and chicken Caesar salad. Everything was delicious. A lot of places give you bland steamed veg, but this place had really tasty sautéed veg. The kids ate all of it. Definitely a good place to stop in the way home from Tahoe.

This place alone is worth a trip to Placerville. Top-knotch quality, and excellent service. The owner sometimes will even check in at your table to make sure you are enjoying everything.

It's like coming home. John ,his staff and the birds. It's all good. He knows you all by name and is real with you. His food is superb even the burgers. Go and enjoy!

Excellent food with fast, friendly service. I would travel to Placerville just to eat here. Grilled chicken sandwiches were cooked to perfection. My favorite dish was the sweet potato dollops -- irresistible!

Cozy, family restaurant. Zoe took our order up front. They have gluten free buns made on site so I ordered the chicken sandwich which was very good. Husband got a bacon burger which he was very happy with. John brought our food to the table and he is a welcoming presence. He called folks by their names as they arrived. Indoor/outdoor dining. Will be back.

We happened into Old Town Grill yesterday while wandering about Placerville for apples and other fun. We were thrilled to see the sign out front that we could eat on the back patio and that doggies were allowed! Staff was attentive and happy when we walked in and ordered. They had no problem making sure food allergens were avoided with our order. As we started back to head to the patio, John the owner greeted us from the grill and thanked us for coming in. We found painted rocks in a bin, similar to that of our author friend Patti Digh, which brought a smile to our faces. Our food came out quickly, staff checked back with us several times, offering to refill our beverages and checking on our satisfaction with the food. Other than a loud party of guys who seemed to have to yell their entire conversations, the meal was great (they left soon after our meal was served). Our burgers were delicious, made to the order we asked and were filling and tasty. Everyone wore masks, keep compliant with customers not touching community items except as needed and the staff were pleasant. On our way out, John thanked us for our patronage. Really folx, this is a small town grill that stays alive because we come in to eat. Go get a GREAT meal from a local who understands what small town is like and who understands customer service. You can eat at Mickey D's anytime in any location, you're not going to get an Old Town Grill anywhere else. Thanks John and crew, stopping in for a meal helped to make our day wonderful!!

This is a special place to get a tasty meal in downtown Placerville. Last time there, the Chef was very welcoming and brought out the food himself.The side salad with oregano vinaigrette was delightful and fresh. Though not the fastest when busy, it's a good place to stop in for a late lunch.

Took my nephews here for lunch. The food was delicious! The Old Town Burger, Cheeseburger and French fries were very good. My nephew really liked the milkshake. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be bavk the next time I'm in Placerville

Very nice staff, everyone was really friendly, and the food was great! I got the old town dog. There's a nice outdoor seating area/patio with nice decor and a macaw! Nice people, nice food!

The only Restaurant I've found that provides Grass Fed Beef Burgers. Super delicious and the Parrot agrees. :-)
The Owner Chef, John is so gracious as are all his staff.
He heard us talking about a health issue and he prayed over us.
I haven't had this happen since I was in Amish Country... what a blessing John and his establishment is to the community.
