Old City Cemetery

It’s quaint and sits on top of a little hill that overlooks Placerville’s Old Town. It is peaceful but we had to pick up some trash. It looks like someone has kicked over a headstone as it was badly broken and didn’t appear to be of natural decay. Sad. I hope the community picks it up. After all there are people living within 5 feet of its premises. Otherwise it was nice!!!

Was choked by a ghost, frightening? Yes.. but I knew what I was getting into.

It was beautiful from the outside, but the gates were chained shut so we couldn’t go in.

To the person who said this is the most beautiful cemetery he’s ever seen, you need to get out more. Very few headstones remain in this weed infested, run down, poor excuse for a cemetery. It’s a shame that the city has let this go, as the location is perfect high above the town. Maybe instead of worrying about approving new fast food places they should worry more about preserving the towns history. Very disappointing.
