Dr. Smith is absolutely awesome! She's knowledgeable, kind and extremely good at helping us understand what we need to do to help our bird get healthy and stay that way. We couldn't ask for a better veterinarian for our pigeon. Thank you!

Dr. Smith has been gentle and loving with my little lovebird everytime we have gone to see her. For annual checkups and an egg binding, she has been patient, caring, and very knowledgeable. I am extremely mindful of who I take my animal companions to for care and I trust Dr. Smith's loving nature and obvious experience. She truly cares for the birds as well as their human caretakers.

We have chickens who are our pets. Sadly, a dog got to one of them. The ladies got us right in. They were all very friendly, caring and sensitive. Goldie (our chicken) was to bad to save. I praise everyone in the office. They were very nice to us. Thank you. You made it a little easier to say goodbye.

Dr. Smith was very informative and really took the time to make sure my Amazon was taken care of. My baby Amazon parrot had a respiratory infection, and Dr. Smith did all the workup herself to make sure we had the right antibiotics. She also noticed that my bird needed more Vitamin A and gave me tips on how to include that in her diet.

Dr. Smith is the absolute best. I have dealt with her for many many years now. I want a parrot rescue so I see her a lot. She contributes her time to Sierra wildlife rescue helping rehabilitate birds and teaching people how to do so. I can't say enough about how great Dr Smith is!

Dr. Smith is the best avian vet I've ever taken any of my birds to. She is kind, to both the "patients" and their humans, and is also incredibly knowledgeable. She always seemed to have time for an emergency appointment. I would take a uber from Davis just to see her. I'm disappointed that I no longer live anywhere near that part of California. I'll be hard pressed to find a vet anywhere close to being as good as Dr. Smith.

Incredible service! My Macaw had injured his eye and these guys are the closet avian vet (4 hours away) They gave me advice over the phone and let me send them pictures, they eased my panic and gave me advice without me having to rush over there. They genuinely care about their patients and I can not recommend them enough. The whole staff is phenomenal!

Always a pleasure to visit Dr. Smith. She is always there to help figure out any ailments your feathered creatures may have. I don't take my feathered creatures anywhere else! Our Family loves Dr. Smith!

Jeanne Smith DVM has been a bird vet in El Dorado County for many years. I started with her when I obtained my first cockatiel more than 20 years ago. She has a very loving way to handle the birds, has a lot of experience and does surgery when required. I don't hesitate to bring her my parrots. Her costs are reasonable and she doesn't do anything that isn't necessary. She's a great bird vet!

This is the best avian vet office you can go to. They are reasonably priced, the staff is very friendly and informative, and you can really tell how much they care about birds. My bird was sick, and they got her feeling better in no time :)
