Such a cute, sweet, hidden gem of an authentic Italian restaurant amidst downtown Placerville! The owner was the sweetest lady, sharing all her recommendations and so hard working and down to earth. The food was absolutely amazing and so was the wine! We will definitely be returning whenever we're in the area.

Everything from beginning to end of the meal was perfect. It was our first visit and we pretty much enjoyed a little bit of this and that off the menu and each selection was absolutely delicious! I had the eggplant Parm and my husband had the same with meatballs. The owner stopped by introduced herself and checked on us throughout our meal. We will definitely return. Reservations are highly suggested.

As a dual citizen of Italy and America it is so hard to find food places that feel like home and aren’t “Italian American” where it’s nothing but pizza and spaghetti. This food was AMAZING! I can’t wait for my momma to come visit so I can take her here! 10/10 will recommend to anyone! The portions are perfect, I left feeling so full and had to get my cannoli to go.

The food was Amazing!! It was like I was in Italy again. 😭😭😭 Simona, the owner, couldn't have been more lovely. The lasagna was one of the best I have ever had. My Son enjoyed the Pasta Amatriciana. (The smoked guanciale was authentic and yummy! i.e. it wasn't American bacon.) The Prosecco was excellent and the tiramisu was divine. Go!! Have dinner at Amoré Mio! You'll fall in love. 😍😍😍

Such a cute little most authentic Italian restaurant! Had the best time by my self! Had the carbonara which I finished!!! That's rare ! The aperol spritz was a delight the service was amazing I would be very happy to go back ! This place is a Must!

Stumbled across this hidden gem (literally hidden and tucked away in the back of old placer) and found our new favorite Italian restaurant. Delicious food, cozy atmosphere, and personable, friendly hosts. Doesn’t get better than this!

The closest you will ever get to "authentic" Italian cuisine!! Love this restaurant! It is unlike any other Italian restaurant you will find in this area. The owners are from Rome and everything they do is true to their heritage. They are amazing hosts as well!

Wonderful food:) great service. We started with the bruschetta but ate most of it before I remembered to take a pic. The house Italian wine the owner recommended was delicious. I had the cheese ravioli and she did half beef ravioli as well. My son had the ravioli special. It’s the best ravioli I’ve ever had. They also brought two little biscotti with two tiny glasses of port at the end of the meal. Very nice touch:) Wonderful place. I highly recommend.

This little Italian place is tucked into the back corner of main street and you would absolutely miss it if you didn't know it was there. That only adds more to its charm. Filled with Italian art and decorations it really feels like a little Italian home.

The chef speaks with every guest and makes it feel like you are part of the family. I could not get enough of her accent and the feel of this place! But that's not why you're here.

You come to a place like this for the food and let me tell you, it's by far the most delicious, authentic, scratch made Italian food I've ever been able to find! The perfect place for a date or family meal I highly suggest you check it out!

We enjoyed the Cioppino & gnocchi with the mushrooms. So tasty! Real authentic and everything was made in house. Great service and staff! And dessert was sooo delicious!

Absolutely love the ambiance of this beautiful restaurant! The staff and owner were exceptional with their care and friendly service! They went ABOVE AND BEYOND with food preparation of having a food allergy and made sure we were well taken care of!!! We will absolutely return and would recommend this restaurant for the most authentic Italian cuisine in the area!!!

Went here the other night. Snagged these gorgeous gnocchi with Bolognese sauce. So good. Portion size was a little small but either way. We hit up the stuffed zucchini flowers and bruschetta too. All was great and on point. I would def recommend those place. If you want desert. They will bring you a platter to see the options. The tiramisu is great. Worth it for sure.

Fitted us in on a busy Saturday night. Food and service exceptional. Friendly staff. The charcuterie platter was the best ever. Stuffed artichokes loved by the veggie in the group.

Great little spot. Service is great and the food is excellent. Had the Popes Lasagna and the Kings bite. Both were super good. Servers were always on point and very attentive. Great wine with dinner

This is a very cute authentic Italian restaurant that I highly recommend for a date night. Food is made with love and service was friendly and offered good recommendations. The wine is very reasonably priced as well as everything else. Decided to buy gift certificate for some friends up in that area also. It is hidden a bit off main street through a long court yard, very pretty.

As always, dining at Amore Mio Bistro deserves 5 stars! The owner and servers are friendly and accommodating. The food is amazing. I wanted a vegetarian entree, and the owner stressed that since they make all their own food there, they can do anything. Therefore, I requested gnocchi with asparagus and mushrooms in a delicious white sauce. Fantastic! My husband had the Salmon and Shrimp with Grand Marnier sauce, which he loved.

The restaurant is tucked away on Main Street at the end of Creekside Plaza. In addition to indoor seating, there is limited outdoor seating overlooking Hangtown Creek.
