Stopped in Placerville for lunch and found this gem. Lovely welcoming atmosphere and amazing clams! We sat at the bar and engaged in conversation with a few of the regulars. I can’t wait to go back and try more of their menu!

One of my favorite places to be on a Sunday is here with a bloody Mary listening to live music and enjoying the shrimp scampi!

Great experience with great food. We arrived at the tail end of the live music but even that was great. We went on Taco Tuesday and i highly recommend the shrimp tacos. Definitely a place i will be returning to.

I love this place, I really do, but I'm from Monterey and I guess my standards for seafood are high, but this place is pretty good for being so far from tbe ocean. So 4 stars for not warming the bread and the service can be iffy. I still love going here, I don't really eat carbs anyway. Lol The patio is really cool with the creek running under and u can bring your dogs!

Awesome Oyster bar! Staff is kind and always friendly. Ellen the Karaoke host is a great singer. A permanent place on our radar.

Great spot for live music. The drinks are affordable and 25 cents from the goes towards paying the band. This is the form of a cover, but def is worth it! These guys rocked the house.

Passing through Placerville for a bite with friends and left with a new "MUST VISIT AGAIN" restaurant on my list! Great, friendly service, delicious Crab Louie, and everyone at my table raved their choices-Ciopino, Grilled Oysters and various sandwiches. Stop on your way to or from Tahoe. You won't regret it!

Good seafood location. An unexpected find in a small location. Beers on tap and the college football games on tv. Definitely worth checking out.

1st time dining here, was a great experience. Good service, food was delicious, portions were appropriate and the price was reasonable (about $20 avg. per entree). Dining area is time tested but clean, parking available in the nearby public garage. All good for the four of us, no reservations needed.

No rating for food because we didn't order any. A lovely, cozy bar with friendly staff, great live music and a spacious patio.

What a great way to spend a birthday! Love Powell’s.. the people, the food, the ambiance! And on this snowy day ( with many power outages) these troopers came in and opened up for the frozen travelers. A bowl of clam chowder and baguette….very comforting!

Scampi was amazing! Hubs says the oysters on the half shell were fantastic! Definitely coming back! Plus they service solid ground ciders and beers!! Super chill vibes!

Great place to have a beer and oyster/ shrimp platters. Scott was a great host and the food was delicious with the brine he uses to boil the shrimp! Can't go wrong stopping in this place!
