My family and I recently relocated to Placerville and had not yet picked a local dentist. I was referred to Larsen Dental from a friend of my wife's after breaking a tooth and was expecting an average dentist with run of the mill care. Larsen Dental was above and beyond any dental office I have ever visited. I have always been extremely uncomfortable in dental offices, never had the best luck. I left my visit here smiling and feeling great. I am scheduling another visit to have more work done this week. I have never been proactive with this kind of thing because I have never had a good experience. This last experience has me thinking differently. Thank you Larsen Dental.

I have been going to dr larson for the last 15 years has always fixed the problem THE RIGHT WAY and takes the time to answer all of your questions and explains the problem and how and why he will fix it.his staff is ALWAYS VERY HELPFUL AND HAVE A BIG SMILE all the Time (ps) his family have been growing apples in Camino for the last 100 years

I have been with Dr. Larsen for well over a decade. He always poked and prodded as dentists do, and proclaimed that my teeth and gums were in good shape. Toward the end of last year Dr. Larsen found a large cavity in one of my wisdom teeth, which he filled early 2023. I asked about pulling the tooth but he said a filling would be fine. For many weeks afterwards the filling rubbed and cut on my cheek and I could still feel the pain of the cavity, so I knew the filling was not done properly or completely. I decided to get a second opinion from another local dentist, who said the tooth should have been pulled because the cavity was so large. Pulling the tooth took care of the pain, of course. I went back to this dentist for an oral evaluation, and she found "advanced periodontal disease." I was pretty shocked hearing that, after being told by Dr. Larsen for many years that my gums were fine. I looked up the new dentist's records and reviews, which were all stellar 5 star across many platforms. And, what she said rang true, when she told me one obvious symptom of periodontal disease was bleeding, which I do experience. I am very disappointed in Dr. Larsen for not informing me of this problem earlier.

Absolutely the worst dentist I have ever been to. Went for a night guard (quoted at $300 - which is the average price) and was sold a $69 guard that didn't fit and looked like a Walmart do-it-yourself kit. Followed by a $126 "much harder" (according to Dr. Larsen) guard than my original worn out one. While placing and removing my original guard in my mouth, Dr. Larsen did so WITHOUT GLOVES. What happened to the professional $300 guard we talked about. I left a deposit for the new guard just to get out of there. Now they are refusing to give me a my money back (even for the one that didn't fit that they took from me) Do not use this "practice" They are argumentative (the customer is always wrong), antiquated, money-grubbing and startling unprofessional (NO GLOVES!). All the reviews are one-year or older- why is that? You can do much better than Dr. Larsen and his unprofessional, inept staff.
