Some of the kindest, most knowledgeable people and beautiful stones you’ll find in the foothills! Each time I visit I always feel welcome and cared for. The staff are open to sharing about their stones and creative processes, even if I don’t buy anything I feel like I gained a positive experience. I recently purchased a unique piece of a new stone found in Placerville they have named “Placerville Forest Opal” that looks like a painting of a forest, it is so special to have a local stone created into beautiful jewelry by local artists. These owners of this rock and gem store literally know everything about their products !! They are so knowledgeable about everything in that store. It blows me away every time I go in there because any question you have about any rock or gem they know all the details and are very kind and generous to take the time to educate you about them. And I’m treated with the utmost respect every single time I go in there. It is such an amazing experience to go and look at all the different items that they sell. If you want to see some amazing things be prepared to spend some time looking because there is so many different things that will interest you. It’s a beautiful store. Worth your while to go see !!

This is one of the coolest stores in town. The atmosphere is very calm and welcoming, the store is very well kept and the inventory is abundant. Above all, Stephen is one of the nicest human beings I have ever met. He is also extremely knowledgeable. Every item in his shop has a story, and he knows that story inside and out. After my wife and i's horrible experience at romans jewelry, avoid that place at all costs he doesnt deserve your business. We ended up here. These people rock! No pun intended. They were nice awnsered questions were genuinely cordial and showed exceptional customer service. I had to practically drag my wife out because she started talking cupcakes with am employee, dont get between girls and their cupcakes lol.

I love this rock shop! The owners are amazingly friendly and the selection is great. A local artist has his carved risks displayed here and his work is gorgeous. Rock hounds don’t skip this place!!!
