This store is awesome! The owner is real friendly and helpful. Staff are great. They have a good inventory of hardware equipment and other miscellaneous items such as gold mining equipment. It’s a very unique store and I highly recommend visiting.

This is a really neat hardware store with all sorts of things in it. They have your typical hardware items, cleaning supplies, kitchen stuff, gold panning equipment, home decorations, and so many other things. I'm not sure I've even been able to see everything in this store. There are so many separate little areas with more things! Staff is friendly and helpful. Store is clean. Seasonal items available. (e.g. chestnuts) Well worth a visit, it you have the time.

We went on a day trip to Placerville. Did you know Placerville Hardward is the oldest hardware store west of the Rockies?! So we checked it out! WOW! What don't they have! What a fun, fun place!! It's packed with the most of everything! The Hummingbird feeders are fabulous! The kitchenware is incredible, and they sparkle atmosphere! Yeah! In a hardware store! We had so much fun. The ladies at the register were so friendly and sweet. It was like being checked out by my Grammy!

A very nice True Value associated hardware store with a very nice mountain/gold rush kind of feel to it. Lots of things for a cabin, camping, or working the claim.

We love going in this place because they have so much stuff. You can browse for hours. Being a full on hardware store, it has items in electronics you can't find easily. Then there's the unique items.

Nice people work here who know this store like the back of their hands. I ended up buying a classifier for mining and a jewelers loupe. They have a lot of unique inventory. The store has been kept original. The creaking wood floors that probably have gold dust in every crack.

As always wonderful from the great staff to the wonderful original wood floors. You can always find things you need and of course things you don't need but want. So glad this is still in Placerville

One of the most uniquely stocked stores. Loved going thru each aisle . Anything you need can be found at this amazing store. The male clerk was extremely helpful too.

Great old store... You name it the have it. Great atmosphere for one of the oldest in the west.

Rode up there on the Harley. Went to find replacement handles for a couple of yard tools. Unfortunately grandpa was out, however the lady was happy to help out. Always a joy to pop in and remember the old days where the hardware store had just about anything you need to fix stuff. Couldn't have been a more satisfying trip. And yes they had the handles.

Absolutely LOVE this store! It has items that you haven't seen for years, and other items you won't find anywhere else. There are so many cool items in this store, that you can browse for hours and not see everything they have. Lots of kitchen gadgets, and gift items as well. I highly recommend to anyone who visits, because it's such a special place! Staff is super nice, friendly and helpful too!

Simply the best hardware store in Placerville. I've been going here for years, and the staff is always helpful and friendly. They help you find what you need and provide assistance in getting the right part for the job. I can go there and get lost in all the wonderful things they have at their place.

THIS IS THE GREATEST AND COOLEST hardware store in the United States. Super clean, well stocked, cool and trendy items and gifts along with any hardware item you would need. Definitely a stop you must make.

I love this store. Its totally charming and full of character. The staff is friendly and helpful. Every time I go in this store with a specific item in mind, i leave with it, but i always find something else here that i just can't pass up. I could probably spend hours here really looking around at stuff. They have a ton of random, different, useful, interesting, eclectic, and just plain cool things. Great place to find everyday things that you need, or to find a gift for someone that is difficult to buy for.
