What a great little store with the friendliest gentlemen working there! They had a good variety and selection with books new and old, classics and modern reads.

There were also a random assortment of antiques, knickknacks, and stationary to choose from and purchase to send to a friend or family member.

Hope you go check it out like I did and spend an afternoon perusing their wares.

I collect used books, and visit used book stores up and down the East Coast. I visit every year when I come to see my parents and always end up leaving with several finds I never would have thought I’d just come across in person. The prices are unbelievable— I have purchased books that don’t otherwise exist in the US or that are early 20th century editions for under $20 many times. There is such variety for discovery; I have, many times, spent a couple hours just picking over the collection, and I always have such a lovely time. I also really love the cards they sell and pick them up for when I return home, they’re all beautiful. The people who run it are also incredibly decent, kind, and well-organized, and it is always a joy to see them.

Update: I came by and saw the Book Nook seems to be permanently closed. I am so sad to see that. This was easily the highlight of many trips south for me. I wish the owners the very best in life.

Awesome treasure in Kilmarnock! The owner has a passion for books and he is fun to talk to and ask questions.
I've found such interesting old books and there's also some new ones that are placed around the store. Really eclectic and worth checking out! I always do when I'm in town!

Charming little bookshop, that smells of books as soon as you crack the door open! The gentleman inside was very helpful... Not all books are priced, so you may need to ask. Some prices were very reasonable, and some just didn't justify a purchase (for me, that is!). The selection was surprising and eclectic. Much to see.

I visited this little store, for the first time, last year. The gentleman there was so incredibly nice, and you can find titles that are out of print. I highly recommend it!

Friendly little book shop with a nicely curated collection of new and used books, as well as greeting cards and gifts. The owner was warm and friendly and I enjoyed my shopping experience!

This place is a small slice of heaven! The modern day book selections are great but the selection of old books is a golden treasure chest. As for the gentleman who runs the shop, he is part, bibliofile, historian, botanist, holticulturist, travel enthusiast etc., all wrapped up in a really nice person! I love this space. It is really welcoming.

Quaint little book shop off the beaten path. Absolutely worth the trip in if you are already in town. There is a little something for every type of bookworm at any age.

My wife and I love this book store. Jim Lane, the owner, works hard at keeping an inventory of new books and books about Virginia's Northern Neck. Jim, an accomplished potter, also teaches one on one pottery lessons at his book store. Even if you don't buy a book or make a clay pot, sit down with and have a coffee or tea and enjoy a conversation with Jim.

If they don't have it, they will order it for you and are very patient when you take FOREVER to finally go pick it up. I also love their selection of greeting cards many made by local artists. They also have great gift items as well as wonderful books by local authors and about the local history. Love this shop!

Such a nice cozy store! LOTS of handmade cards, new and used adult and kids books. The owner is friendly and can order something for you if you can't find it in the store.

In Kilmarnock, always a pleasure to stop in. The selection is great and the nice gentleman that owns the store is always pleasant and helpful. If you're unable to find what you're looking for, he is happy to order whatever you may want. It's a great little bookstore.
