We really enjoyed the fort. It was a very done reconstruction. The interpretative buildings were very informative. The people doing the demonstrations were friendly and knowledgeable. They were all in period dress and ready to provide a short talk and demonstration, then answer questions. We were able to watch the blacksmith make a candle stick that we later bought in the gift shop. It was a very pleasant, enjoyable, and educational stop.

Enjoyed going to the Christmas celebration at the fort. Wonderful people there & great history. They served hot chocolate, hot cider & cookies. Was able to make a cloth doll to keep. Even got a picture with santa❤ Only cost was $8 per adult & it was self guided tour.

Really enjoyed our visit here. Friendly staff and great recreation of what it would be like in those times on the frontier. They had several displays of how to create yarn and weave garnets, gunsmithing, and iron work.
Well worth your time and the price of admission.

Very interesting place to visit. Nothing like the Daniel Boone TV series. It was interesting to see the fort and to see the different things they did. I love the lady who was doing the weaving she was very good at what she did and she told her some stories and was very upbeat. But it's interesting to read that all this and visit inside the fort. The mission to the fort is $8 for adults $5 for kids and seniors. Also we went down to visit the original site of the fort by the river and they had a lot of neat information down there also. If you get a chance to go see folk broomborough I would recommend it is interesting very interesting You're thoroughly enjoy it!

We had to visit after watching history of tye first settlement. Staff was all very nice, some of the cabins had people inside to interact and tell you the history. A real blacksmith who makes things for the gift shop!

This was a nice place to take my fiancé that is not from this area. He loves history and all the tools and techniques that was there. Great place to visit for all ages.

Amazing displays with even more amazing people who work there. Very knowledgeable, friendly, and just pleasant in general. Don't forget to buy some merchandise from the store, a lot of it is made at the fort.

My family has always wanted to visit a iconic historical place like this. We were so excited to see this place was on our Way to pick up our sons service dog so we stopped here to check it out.

I am so glad we did it was a lot of fun. We learned a lot and the one of the ladies that work there let the kid's get some hand's on experience with spinning therad. She ever gave the kid's some free wool. She let them pick the color of wool they wanted to.

We loved being able to see and read some of the letters from that time. The tools and wooden structures we got to walk through were a really treat.

There is a gift shop here that you can pick up some cool things from. There is Lot's of places to park. I think that this place every educational. Grat place for school filled trips.

Excellent experience! Great place to spend some time. Excellent actors living in the 18th-19th century Era. Makes you really appreciate the things we have now that you take for granted.

Very well built recreation of the original fort. In the summer they have tons of reenactors there doing different trades. Was great to visit somewhere a relative lived awhile in that era. The actual location was down the hill closer to the river.

Not a lot going on as we went on a Thursday after Labor Day, but we did have the whole place practically to ourselves. Very meaningful to me as Daniel Boone is my 4x great uncle. As this is a recreation of the original fort, be sure to ask how to get to the site where the original fort stood. It's only a few minutes down the road.

Great place to tour. I was very impressed with the gun building and the blacksmithing. The fort was laid out for a great self guided tour and the rooms with people in them were very informative. They even had ax throwing when we visited!

I learned about a bit of history involving Kentucky and Daniel Boone that I didn't know before. The staff does a good job illustrating what went into life in that era. Worth the price of admission.

This was an amazing educational opportunity that lets you step back in time a few hundred years. The people who recreate this town are experts in their own right, and take the time to explain the process that they are working on.

Easy Walking around, several buildings had people explaining what they were doing, i.e. spinning, weaving, blacksmith, etc. People friendly and helpful. While not the original fort nor on original site it is a great place to "see" history and the way if life. Great place to take the kids. Only half a mile from original site which you can also visit.

This place was super cool. Lots of artifacts and we got to learn to axe throw. We will definitely go back on the way home to grab an axe or two. The price is affordable and they are so nice and family orientated as well.
