Very cool hotel right in downtown Ashland! The hot tub was awesome in the snow! Comfy room with neat decor. The street traffic watching was fun from our balcony!

This is one of the best locations in Ashland, only 4 blocks from the Shakespeare Festival, and easy walking to lots of restaurants. There are 4 buildings, the 2 newest have elevators. The oldest building does not have an elevator, but is closest to the pool and breakfast room and has a nice view. The breakfast is large and includes scrambled eggs and sausage. The rooms are very clean. My only complaint was the pillows were hard and lumpy.

The staff was professional and polite at check-in. The front desk gave suggestions to local restaurants and helped me find things to do in the area. The room was fantastic and had a wonderful view of the downtown area. I will be coming back.

Spent a lovely weekend with the wife and dogs in this amazing place. Just on the edge of main street . Very walkable to alot of fun places . Parks and neighborhoods close by for walking. Alot of historic houses to see around. Wineries as well.

Pros
Rooms are well organized and clean.
Charge ports in each bedside table.
Plenty of warm lights to get ready or do work under.
Linens were clean.
Taller shower head for 6ft people with good water pressure.
Plenty of TV channels to surf.
Good toiletries provided.
Larger sized fridge bonus for stuff you bring on the road or leftovers.
The buffet was fantastic, lots to choose from and it is a clean and friendly space with attentive staff.
Night manager/desk person was quick and efficient.
Clean pool (next to the road though) so it can be loud) but it is contained by glass walls.
Best proximity to downtown events and restaurants.

Cons
Rooms are close together so you'll get some neighbor noise

Main windows face walkway so if you want privacy you'll be shut in with the blackout curtains and without much natural light.

The AC unit in my room was not working so the room was on the warm side at night, this may just be a one room problem.

This hotel is in a great location with only a very short (less than 5 minute) walk to old town Ashland, the restaurants along the creek, Lithia Park and more. The rooms were clean and the pool area was fun for the kids. Breakfast was solid with eggs, pancakes, sausage, yogurt, and many bread and pastry items.

We got snowed in after interstate 5 was closed. Thank goodness we ended up at the Bards Inn Hotel. The desk agent was so friendly, and fun to talk to. The room was absolutely fantastic! Those Jimmy John's breakfast sandwiches were even perfect. We will be back when the weather clears up just so we can stay at the Bard's Inn again!

Thank you!!!! Whoever hired her should give yourself and her a raise!

I just read some of the terrible reviews and I am sorry your experience was so awful. I am going back more than once now just to show my appreciation.

My wife and I have been staying here for about seven years every year for a Christmas present towards each other. Tiffany at the front desk is absolutely amazing. She was able to get the exact room that we wanted by walking us through exactly where it was. We have never had an unpleasant experience at this hotel, and will be visiting for many years to come. We highly recommend this hotel to everybody.

I don't think you can find a better location when visiting Ashland. Everything was walking distance from the hotel, shopping, theaters, museum, restaurants (very good restaurants). The rooms were clean, parking was easy, front desk helpful and friendly! I did have one tiny complaint (for the sake of honesty) the conforters were a little slippery? The material they were made of made them slip right off the sheets, or maybe I move too much.
Great experience! Will definitely be staying at the Bard's Inn Hotel again

Great location just outside downtown Ashland
Driveway leaving is steep so if you have a low hung car be careful
Coffee maker is under the sink. Would have never thought to look there
My room was smaller and felt even smaller with placement not wardrobe
Overall a great hotel for the price would stay again

Great location very close to lots of shops, restaurants, and bars right in downtown Ashland. Fantastic staff! Rooms are spacious with a nice bathroom, mini fridge, chairs, a dresser, and there is easy parking. Hot tub is warm in the winter but pool is still cold (but who wants to go swimming in December outside anyways 😄). It's easy to get to. Stayed here twice on a drive between seattle and San Francisco and it was perfect!

Everything about this hotel was great! The staff was kind and friendly. The rooms were clean and accommodates pets. The location was perfect for downtown Ashland exploration! There are so many restaurants within walking distance and the theaters were so close. This was a great stay and I can't wait to come back!

Such a beautiful little hotel! I got the two room queen suite and it was perfect for two couples--a little Jack and Jill bathroom between the rooms for privacy. The room was very clean, the concierge was gracious, and the theme was very fun. The beds were extremely comfortable (on the soft side). There was also a family of deer living right outside my window! The road was a bit noisy but overall I had a wonderful stay. And it's a 5-minute safe walk to downtown Ashland from the hotel, which has tons of cute shops and restaurants.

This hotel is perfect for that getaway for Oregon Shakespeare Festival plays and enjoying the shops and restaurants of Ashland. The rooms in the London building are very small, but beautifully furnished, and are close to the pool and breakfast room. It is a quiet hotel with knowledgeable and gracious staff. Book your room early in the year, as they go fast.

Great place! Staff is always super friendly and welcoming and willing to accommodate! It's more towards downtown but that works out because there's good food within walking distance...the sushi place down the road is awesome.

This is a very nice place to stay it's a must if you are driving through and need a very clean very comfortable place to stay the night. The people are wonderful that check you in. The breakfast was good considering covid and nobody's wanting to make food at hotels right now even though restaurants are open but they gave lots of choices fruit cereal Jimmy Dean sausage egg croissants juice coffee all the usual very good I was surprised at the breakfast. The pool is very nice too the room is clean. They had comfortable beds as well

I made a rookie mistake for someone who is kind of broken and had two cats. I could tell that the front desk felt bad, and I don't hold anything against them for not having a bottom floor room available right then and there for my needs (super neat area, and on a Friday night). But the front desk guy helped me get me and my kitties safely upstairs.
So the room itself. It had such a nice clean smell. Sometimes with pet rooms, you get the aromas of past pets. The room just smelled clean. No over the top scented cleaners, either.
Now I am speaking from experience (in one other high end hotel), the service was top notch. Front desk, custodial staff, everyone. I've not seen that before or since.
Even under the cabinets! It was like the room items were presented, not just given. The room goodies were so nicely arranged under the sink. I would never have known such treasures could be found in there. It was like staging a house level of looking nice.
And this still makes me a little weepy eyed. When I was gathering all of my things, one of the custodial staff helped me get everything downstairs. He was so kind, and so patient. I hope you get to read this, and know that what you did will remind me of the goodness in people with true compassion for others.
Tap water review: delicious.

I love staying at the Bard's inn because it's dog friendly, reasonably priced, and the rooms are always spotless and clean.
