We had a WONDERFUL dinner here for our last night in Ashland. The service was great, and the food was very tasty! They have great local and seasonal influences to the food, wine, and cocktails. Don't skip the bread; it was freshly baked and delicious!!! Do yourself a favor and make reservations.

My husband and I were passing through town between Portland and Bay Area, so glad we saw reviews for this place on google maps. The host welcomed us in w/o reservations on a Saturday at 6pm (he kindly let us know he needed the table back at 8pm). We got a seat indoors by the door that led to the garden. Andrea never let our water cups run empty. The seasonal summer menu was delicious — we ordered chilled melon Thai curry soup, king salmon tartare, lamb chops, buttered carrots+zucchini, and the cured pork appetizer (I forget the name). We were just short of licking the plate on every dish! My husband also enjoyed a queens gimlet, very well made and refreshing.

It was a rainy and cold night when we stayed at Ashland. We were so impressed of how many nice restaurants there were in Ashland. The owner of the small Inn we stayed at was impressed we were having dinner at Peerless. We appreciate the spaciousness between tables at Peerless. Our server was friendly and recommended a nice Chardonnay from the Applegate Valley. One new thing we learned about Oregon wines.
My husband and I shared oysters from Vancouver to start our meal. My French onions soup was tasty but the star was the toast inside the soup. My husband had shrimps with peas that was delicious and flavorful. Instead of mains, I had Manila clams and my husband had steak tartare. My dish was quite large and yummy. The steak tartare wasn’t as good as the clams though the house made crackers were delicious. The in house made sourdough were amazing.

We didn’t have dessert as we were very full.

Peerless is an elegant restaurant features best of Pacific Northwest has to offer. A must in Ashland.

It comes across as humble, but don't be fooled. The Peerless delivers an amazing experience.

Many places determine their specials by what leftover food they have in surplus. The Peerless specials on the other hand were clearly a chance to allow the chefs to experiment.

The dishes were an exciting blend of daring and comfort; the setting was quaint and refined.

In a town that seems to have replaced nearly all its formal dining with casual sports bars and idempotent menus, the Peerless was a standout experience.

Another excellent dinner at Peerless! My husband and I don't eat as much as we used to so we are grateful for the smaller fare offered at Peerless.
We started with the soup du jour, which was cold cucumber. This was my least favorite dish of the night. And a bowl of it was way too much for my palate.
My husband opted for the Flat Iron and I had crab cakes and the artichokes dishes. All of these were fantastic! What I couldn't finish, my husband happily did.
We finished with dessert. You can't go wrong with any of the offers.
No wine tonight. However I did ask for an Italian Ice and the bartender served up a delicious one!
Eric was our server. He is a personable fellow who gives you time. No rush.
The entire time spent at Peerless tonight was leisurely and very enjoyable.

Words cannot describe our gratitude! We stayed 2 nights in Ashland to go Enduro riding and where longing for something more upscale, despite we carried no formal wardrobe in our duffel bags. The staff at Peerless was incredible friendly, comforting, very attentive, knowledgeable and well trained. The Wine and Cocktail List was outstanding and we loved watching the Bartender preparing every drink with such precision. The food was extraordinary! I have dined at many 2 & 3 Michelin Star restaurants and this place can easily live up to those standards. Absolutely flawless, Thank you for having us!

Loved the dining experience! My family and I started out with appetizers and cocktails which were fresh and nothing short of impressive. We started out with the Ahi Poke and the Pork Buns with a lavender cocktail and a like Manhattan drink, no complaints at all. Main courses included shrimp, pork chop, and dry (sauteed) ramen. Dessert was fantastic! Carrot cake, chocolate tart, and lemon meringue. Overall, a treat and will return!

This place is great! All around solid experience - good selection of food, well cooked (my pan seared halibut was excellent).
Decent wine list with a good spectrum of prices with International options (at least French) well represented.
Our waiter (Howard) was very professional. He was fairly new to the restaurant and couldn't directly answer our wine questions and said as much then went back to the bar to find answers and bring out tastings to find a wine we liked. Perfect way to handle the situation.
We were lucky enough to dine in a beautiful lawn and garden area. Plenty of space between tables and fortunate to have good weather.
They open for dinner at 5pm, so plenty of time to have a relaxed early dinner between the two main daily theatre performances and close enough to enjoy the walk between the theatres and restaurant before and after dinner.

From the moment we arrived and we’re greeted by the host until we left the experience was phenomenal.

Marc (our server) was extremely knowledgeable, attentive and made the entire experience great. We selected the gazpacho and steak tartar as starters. The main dish was the salmon that was cooked to perfection.

The have a great wine lis and nice wines by the glass. I highly recommend Marc and this restaurant.

Lovely outdoor dining area with creative and delicious food. The spendy cocktails are worth a try we had the my Fair Lady negroni which was a beautiful bright yellow and nicely bitter and an alcohol-free vermouth-based mocktail, an elegant way to start the meal.

The ahi poke bowl was serviceable if not memorable, a little gomacio would have helped. I would have never thought to try a grilled watermelon salad, but it was delicious. And why not a little watermelon gazpacho to go with that? The salmon was melt in your mouth on the bed of the most buttery and delightful whipped potatoes. The sous vide hanger steak was flavorful with a spicy green garnish, and delicious potatoes dipped in a hot red sauce. In the end I would have taken a medium rare ribeye, but it was still good. The spicy jalapeno pickle relish was an indispensable addition.

Decent macron cookies with a flavorful herbed sorbet and the decadent chocolate mousse with a name I couldn't pronounce or remember. A 30-year-old tawny port, and some frankly quite delicious decaf coffee finished the meal off well.

Servers were kind, informed and working hard.

A great place with a twist on traditional American cuisine. Great, romantic outdoor seating in a historic building. We ordered a bunch of the hot starters and were very positively surprised.
