Horst Sub & Deli

While in the area, I drove up on this Amish-style country store and sandwich shop and instantly felt drawn to go in and give it a try. The folks inside were great! Very friendly and helpful. They sell all sorts of items that are local and/or from small batch producers; from meats to dairy, and breads, candies, sweets, etc.

I had a hard time deciding what I should get, so I saw the person in front of me had ordered a salami, turkey, and roast beef sub and it looked amazing, so I told the lady I wanted that same thing. They set up their subs and heat them in an oven. She asked me what bread I want and I fortunately chose the right option, which was Italian… they make this bread in-house and I’ll tell you it was one of the BEST sub rolls I’ve ever had… soft and light, yet sturdy enough to hold this three meat sub I got! For condiments, I opted for lettuce, tomato, and jalapeño with their chipotle sauce on it… It tasted AMAZING!!!

They had a few freshly made soups of the day listed on their sandwich board and after asking them which was the best, I chose their potato and bacon and it was incredible too! They have a large seating area inside too and when I got there, there were only a few people sitting and eating, but within 10 minutes of sitting down, the place was packed! So, clearly this is a very popular option for lunch.

Horst is always great! The ladies are extremely pleasant, the food is always fresh, and the prices are spot on. We are very glad that Hoarst is part of our local community! My favorite is the Philly cheese steak sub and the milk shakes are AMAZING

Great food and service! The take and bake pizzas are delicious and a family favorite! We have had several subs and they have all been delicious. The ice cream 🍦 and baked goods are great as well.

There take and bake pizzas are fantastic! Plus you can buy it by the slice or whole pizza during business hours.

I LOVE the subs here, very clean and healthy and portion is great. I would highly recommend you buy your cheese, lunch meat from there. The quality is very high and the employees are very friendly, helpful and smily. Once you try it once, you ll go back for more :D

It's a long drive but when we work in the area this is always the place we make sure to stop and eat it's our absolute favorite subshop you can't get a better sandwich or better service everything is excellent and we always end up leaving with extra odds and ends we haven't tried anything that wasn't great here stop in say hi you'll be treated like a friend and with the best service and food

Great sandwiches. The pulled pork is my favorite. Fantastic pizza and ice cream too. These ladies are incredible. You can eat in the dining area or carry out.

Stopped in at Horst a couple days ago on my way home from dropping off a friend in Rogers Ohio. Very quaint little store with a great deli&many many baked goods! The sandwiches & veggies are awesome & the staff is very nice. I ordered the Italian with all the veggies except jalapenos& the sweet onion sauce on Italian bread.

In my opinion you will never find to many places like this!. They definitely concentrate on Quality in everything they do from farm fresh beverages definitely unique one of kind different flavors of milk in store deli fresh subs with high-quality meats 🍖 bread and cheese 🧀. Asorted candies and beef jerky, deserts, jars of whatever you want almost 😋. Things you may not find in regular grocery stores or super markets with quality you expect.they are very focused on Quality real organic food not processed foods. Even though you can get some like potato chips and things along those lines. Wish it was alot closer to my house would shop here everytime I needed something. Everything is so yummy 😋 😋 😋 😋. Cookies, cakes, pasta salad, large blocks of cheese, WOW so much I would be here all day typing. It is a small place with a nice layout and is open at 6am usually I don't know what time they close. But aren't open on Sundays at all. I would give them 1m stars if I could excellent place ✨.

Horst is all around amazing, from the incredible and customizable breakfast sandwiches, the sub and desserts, and the friendliest customer service around. I make it a point to stop by any time I'm in town. Also highly recommend the ethically sourced coffee - it's not too flaky, not too fine, and always has the perfect balance of flavor.

We're building a house near by and it's a great place to get some good food. So glad to have it close to where we'll be living soon. We done in and take out almost everyday.

If you're close to Horst Sub & Deli...run don't walk for a sandwich. What a great sandwich. The bread is fantastic. Ther pretzel and Italian bread are my favorite.

Oh Man Where Do I Start??? This place is just FANTASTIC their food is all fresh and made with a smile! From ALL THE EMPLOYEES!!! Also their prices are very fair.... Portions are very nice. They view, acknowledge and respect all persons personal beliefs!!! This place is truly phenomenal..... I EXTREMELY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE WILLING TO TRAVEL FOR SIGHT SEEING AND GREAT FOOD SERVICE........

What a great place!! The people working here are really nice and the subs are 🔥🔥🔥. I had the chicken salad footlong and my husband had the meatball we also got 2 slices of pizza and 4 drinks for $30 so the value was there as well. The chicken salad was delicious and the Italian bread I had warmed.... it wasn't crunchy but warm and delicious ❤❤

I love this deli! Always great fresh food! My go-to is the buffalo chicken sandwich. Very similar to bores head lunch meat. Fresh daily specialsand homemade goods! Me personally I always add two chocolate chip cookies to my sandwich to make the perfect Combo! Very clean and always friendly service.

Horst Deli is a STAPLE here in New Waterford. My family and I go at least once a week. Whether that’s for some breakfast sandwiches (or their amazing breakfast pizza) and coffee, some amazingly crafted toasted subs for lunch, or one of their hand-made thick crust pizzas for dinner! We love how friendly the people are that work there! I only grab my deli meat and cheese for the week here because it is so delicious!! Also during the winter time, they have soups that are the best soups I’ve ever had out. I could not recommend this place enough!! They do get busy from 1130-1230/1 but the workers are so quick with making the food and checking out that you barely notice the wait time!

You can never go wrong on homemade food. The place was clean and friendly. The perfect example of a mom and pop restaurant
