They matched the shingles to the ones I had on my garage and gave me a great price (best estimate around) Very knowledgeable, timely, and clean. When the job was complete there was not one trace of debris anywhere in my yard and my roof looks great! 100% satisfied. Thank you!

Mike Austin of Synergy Construction out of Auburn just finished replacing a roof for me and I can tell you... this is the best experience I've had with any roof repairs in a very long time. My wife and I have several properties in the Cicero/Clay area, and over the years I've hired many companies to perform all phases of work. This job was on an old house that appeared to have some sagging rafters. But what Mike found when they removed the old roof was quite a different story. The rafters were fine, but there was what is known as a "Yankee Gutter" around the entire perimeter of the roof. Without wasting any time, Mike and his crew approached this roof replacement with the necessary skill, experience, equipment and manpower... and they got the job done the right way--WITH MANY EXTRA MAN-HOURS!, but at no extra cost except for the additional materials they used to bridge the old roof system and transform it into an excellent and permanent solution. I highly recommend this company based on their attention to detail and their determination to provide the kind of top quality service that is hard to find these days... And at a reasonable price! I'll be hiring them again soon.

UPDATE: I hired Mike Austin and crew to replace two other roofs for me this summer (June 2020) with equally excellent results. This is a solid and reliable company with the highest standards of integrity, and the knowledge to do first rate work without delay. I firmly stand behind my prior recommendation.

We used Synergy for roof tear off and replacement. Very professional and friendly. The owner is a great guy and the workers were all hard working and take pride in their work. When their shingle guy gets going he’s a machine. In all seriousness they were excellent. Couldn’t give them a higher recommendation.

Hired Synergy to repair the roof on my house. Prior to the start of their work, I asked them if I needed a permit for the work. They told me not to worry about it, they’d take care of everything. By taking care of everything, they meant they would do the work without a permit and without notifying the city of the working being done. As a result, I have have to go to court to take care of these issues - the first day of which, nobody from Synergy came.

In addition to this extreme unprofessionalism, they did a shoddy job on my roof. I’ve had to hire a second contractor to come in and correct everything they did. In fact, Synergy didn’t even finish the job I paid them to do, even though they claimed it was complete. When the new contractor was on my porch roof, his foot went through a rotten board; meaning that Synergy did not replace the rot on my roof - they only laid out new roofing tiles. And I mean they literally laid out the tile, the new contractor showed me that the new tile was not nailed to the roof, only placed on it.

Do not hire. Stay far away from them.
