I had the pleasure to have my make-up done at my Brothers and Sister In-Laws wedding 7 years ago by Joanne. I absolutely loved how my make-up came out, and I always told myself I wanted Joanne to be the make-up artist for my wedding one day! You would have never know 7 years past from the first time I met Joanne. She is truly the sweetest! She has this warmth and kind hearted personality that just puts everything at ease.

I was impressed 7 years ago, and she impressed me again after my trial! I forgot how light and airy her make-up felt. Almost like you had nothing on, but she makes you look stunning, and it lasts ALL day long. I never wanted to take the make-up off!

I was honored to have Joanne do my wedding day make-up, along with my bridal crew! She did such an amazing job, everyone looked incredible! I had a few bridesmaids that I knew were very hesitant about even wearing make-up. I know my girls were very much stepping out of their comfort zone, but Joanne made them feel comfortable and they all looked stunning!

Joanne created absolutely STUNNING makeup looks for the bride and her wedding party this past weekend!

As a wedding photographer, I hear brides say all the time that they want a natural look for their day (which is what this past weekend's bride told me she was hoping for) and that can sometimes result in makeup that is too light and invisible in photos OR ends up way too glam for them. Joanne truly struck the perfect balance between natural and glam, the makeup showed beautifully in photos, and it stayed put all day!!

My favorite thing about Joanne though, and the reason I felt really compelled to write this review, is that she clearly loves and cares about what she does so incredibly much! You could see the passion for her craft all over her face as she put the finishing touches on the bride's makeup and when someone cares that much, you know you'll have a top notch experience with them!

Joanne is the best! Her warmth and calm demeanor completely put me at ease as she did my make up the day of my wedding. She made me feel my most beautiful self and completely captured the vision I had for my look. She and her colleague both did an incredible job with my bridesmaids - everyone truly felt and looked their best. Thank you, Joanne! The day wouldn't have been the same without you.

Joanne was amazing to work with! We were very happy to be able to do a trial for both me and my mother. She listened to what we wanted and asked our thoughts after every step to make sure she was getting our vision right. We were very happy with how we looked after the trial and Joanne kept great notes so she could just do the makeup with little questions on the wedding day. It made the wedding day very relaxing! Joanne made sure we all looked perfect and made sure the entire wedding party was happy. Everyone was commenting on how great my makeup looked that day! She is very welcoming and very talented! I would recommend her to everyone. Joanne is also just incredibly nice and was fun to talk to during the trial and on our wedding day.

Joanne is an incredible makeup artist & I could not have made a better choice than choosing her to do my wedding makeup. From the trial to wedding day she was knowledgeable, professional, kind hearted and amazing to work with! Myself, my mom, and my entire bridal party raved about her work. She brought energy and excitement to the entire day & was an absolutely pleasure to work with.

Joanne provided makeup services for our October 2023 Wedding and she was AMAZING! We had a total of 13 girls getting makeup done the morning of my wedding and Joanne and her assistant ensured everything ran smoothly. We didn't go over time and everyone LOVED their makeup. She truly made me feel beautiful on my special day. I would 100% use Joanne again!!!

Joanne was incredible to work with! I cannot recommend her enough. She fit in so naturally with my family and friends during the getting ready day. She made everyone feel beautiful and I love that each person who got a lip color got a full tube of lipstick to take home. Joanne provided makeup services for our June 2023 wedding and we couldn't have been happier to have her there on our big day! She was so kind to come out to my home to do a bridal trial before the wedding and patiently listened and tweaked until we got to a look we were happy with. As someone who doesn't wear a lot of makeup in my normal life, I was worried about not looking like myself on my wedding day. Joanne did a wonderful job of enhancing my natural features and making me feel like my best self. We used Joya Beauty for on-site makeup for our wedding and Joanne was absolutely incredible! Joanne did my bridal makeup as well as my sister, my mom and my mother-in-law. When I went for my makeup trial, Joanne listened carefully to what I wanted for my bridal look and took detailed notes. She made me feel so beautiful and made us all look so stunning! I had my trial/consultation with Joanne, and her package includes a trial for one other person, so I had my mom come with me. Joanne made us both feel so comfortable during the trial, listened to what we wanted, asked for feedback throughout our trials, made suggestions, and kept meticulous notes of our makeup so she could re-create the looks on my wedding day.
On my wedding day, Joanne travelled all the way up to the White Mountains and made myself, my bridesmaids, my mom, and mother-in-law feel and look like the most beautiful versions of ourselves. I think I said “I look beautiful” about 100 times that day, which isn’t the easiest thing for me to do. I can’t thank her enough for giving me that confidence. For the women that wanted more of a glam look, she rocked it; for the women that wanted a more natural look, she rocked it. She and my hairstylist worked together to create a schedule for the day, and I was impressed that morning by how well they kept us all on schedule and on-time!
Joanne is a perfectionist, and made sure we all looked perfect before walking out of the room. She stayed after my first look for touch-ups, and that was one of my favorite parts of the day – I was able to just spend a few quiet moments with her and my hair stylist. They calmed my nerves, made me laugh, and I just felt so incredibly comfortable. Joanne is such a warm, kind, welcoming person, not to mention an extremely talented artist. I was so lucky to have her on my team – please book her!

Where to begin…my wedding day started off gray and gloomy and the weather continued to get worse as the day progressed. But my bridesmaids and I were GLOWING the entire day! Joanne and her assistant Ginger were a warm presence and worked efficiently and professionally with my group. My wedding day consisted of two ceremonies, first at 1:00pm and the second at 4:30pm. We were all completed with our makeup and ready for action by 11:30, leaving plenty of time for changing into our dresses and some pictures! After the first ceremony my party took some photos outdoors in the rain and Joanne remained at the hotel awaiting our return for touch ups before the second ceremony. We were all refreshed and ready for action within an hour! I can’t speak highly enough of Joanne and her knowledge and clear passion for what she does. If you are in need of a makeup artist who is going to make you feel your most naturally beautiful self, Joanne is your girl!

I recently used Joanne for on-site makeup on my wedding day and she was amazing. My sister and her did a trial a couple months before the wedding which was so nice to get to know her before the big day. We got married at the Inn on Peaks Island and Joanne traveled there easily. Everyone looked absolutely beautiful. She was really great at making everyone comfortable, and was happy to adjust anything as needed. I would recommend Joanne to anyone. She was such a calming presence day of, easy to work with and made everyone look and feel beautiful!!
