Val-Du Lakes Campground

The campsite was clean. Shower were clean. The people at the office were super nice. Enjoyable weekend.

Mary is great! She is really helpful with answering questions and is super polite.
I would recommend the campground, bar, or VRBO. Five Stars!

We had a great time at Val-Du no issues. Our spot was set back at the end so it was pretty quiet. Only a short trip to the dune entrance and to all the attractions in town. Very well kept campground we will definitely be back!

It is a good place to relax after a fun day at the sand. Just hoping the campground, facilities will be updated soon.

I’ve been staying here for years now. We just got back from a 3 night trip and it was awesome as always. I’m a tent camper (typically dispersed) and love the showers.

Val-Du will always be my first call when looking for a site near the dunes.

We have a seasonal at the camp ground. We are new to RV ownership also. Brian has been a great mentor for my family with learning our new to us camper. Never makes us feel dumb with any of the crazy questions we have asked him. Look forward to the rest of the season and possibly many more.

Nice & friendly place to stay kinda pricey over the holidays but definitely worth the buck. Only thing I diss like is your fire must be out by 11 pm. I totally get the being quiet part by 11 but no fire thing that's kinda a joke if you're being quiet and just enjoying your fire. If you're looking for a cozy friendly place to camp this is your spot

Stayed here just after season ended. The owner was accommodating and friendly! Our friends stayed in one of their camper rentals and loved it. The owner was nice enough to let us have an extra pad of space for our truck since it was off season. Will definitely be back next year. Super close to Silver Lake Dunes! 👌 Our campsite was clean, secluded and forested.

Absolutely loved it there, we stayed 3 nights and everything went great. The camper was very nice and clean and the beds were super comfy. Every site has a fire pit and a picnic table to enjoy the evenings outside. The Bar & Grill is awesome!! The food and drinks were all very good. I’d like to go back and get the Flaming Burger!! They are huge military/veteran supporters so if you wanna take a road trip I promise you’ll love it! And the sand dunes are less than 10 mins away!

Great friendly place to go camping. Dog friendly place. We enjoyed our stay. Bathrooms always being cleaned throughout the day. Office/gift shop open for what seemed like the whole day. My dogs enjoyed having room to walk and grass on campsite.

The owner, Brain, was absolutely awesome and super accommodating. He gave us the open site next to ours because we were under severe thunderstorm warning and he said the one site we were on gets flooded when it rains. The security there helped us to feel safe and they were all super friendly. The lady at the front, Cindy, was extremely pleasant to talk with, and gladly helped us with what we needed. The bathrooms were cleaned and restocked frequently. It was also nice that the bar and grill was only a short walk away from the campground. The back patio/dining area of the bar was beautiful at sunset. Overall, very satisfied with the customer service and our stay at Val-Du-Lakes.

Was a great place to stay.. we rented a RV for the weekend was very clean and nice.. everyone there was friendly looking forward to going back..

We have been staying at Val-Du several times a summer, for over 7 years now. We had stayed at other campgrounds in the past, but we found that Val Du was MUCH more accommodating and relaxed than other campgrounds. We usually have a large group of friends/family that come along with us and we are all always treated like family.

Brian, the Owner, is friendly and willing to accommodate different needs or wants that campers might have. Cindy, in the Office, is upbeat, friendly and so kind! And Chris, the head of security is really a nice guy....just follow the few simple and totally realistic rules that they have and you won’t have any issues. Quiet time is 11pm and you can’t be driving your vehicles and toys around the campground like a maniac.

There is a very large overflow parking lot where you can park your trailers, toys and extra vehicles. The showers are nice and spacious with great water pressure. They also have a bar on the property that’s a short walk from the campground-what more could you want?!

We will keep coming back to Val-Du for many more years!

Had a great time at Hippie Fest. Highly recommend! Very well organized.

The owners were great and attentive. This place had the best campground shower ever and security was very good in making sure rules are followed. This campground is very family friendly but not super loud
obnoxious party friendly (I think it's a great thing).

The only CON is that the campsites are small but they do offer a free overflow lot for trucks and trailers.

If you have a larger group then I would try to book early and try to get consecutives sites.

Absolutely great place to camp! Short drive to silver lake and the dunes. The owners treat everyone like friends and family. They never have any issues making accommodations and working with weird schedules! The owners take a great deal of pride in their business and it shows, this is a business that you want to support!

Best food I have had in Mears, ever. They even have pull tabs and Keno! Getting a drink, a burrito and some pull tabs is something I wish I could do all do everyday lol 20/10 . So sad I found this place right before they closed for the season. See you guys in the spring!

What a wonderful place to stay. Everyone is so nice and kind. The bath house is always kept clean. The office manager Cindy will do anything to make your stay magical. They’ve got a gem in her and it’s right around the corner from the dunes. Come out and have a great time. 😊

Great place to camp. Nice overflow parking lot. The owners treated us and our children like family. Highly recommend campground. Can't wait to go back. They even had a old Plate on the wall of the Bar And Grill that I have been looking for for years, the owner took it off the wall and gave it to me and would not accept money for it. Meant a lot to me. GREAT PLACE!

our 1st time up was 4th of July I love this place they keep up on cleaning restrooms an showers they treat us like family security is awesome an friendly but they will be security when its needed love that there's a quite time and your able to get sleep never been to a better low key campground the owner is nice an always conversates with us an Cindy is really awesome as well. cant wait to see you all on hippie fest
