Golden Sands Golf Course and Bucket Bar

The Bucket Bar is totally a vibe and someplace we would routinely love to take the family! While we were there, they had everything from outdoor games, a bounce house/slide and a driving range. There is a ton of outdoor seating, tables of all sizes. Very accommodating for large groups. As soon as we walked in the door one of the staff, Will, was so welcoming and such a great host! He even gave our daughter a gift after he found out it was her birthday!! The food was good, next time I would totally try the pizza - it looked so good!

Absolutely amazing delicious food. The first place I've ever been to that had not only baked chicken strips, but also baked tater tots. Large variety of wine, and delicious food, the atmosphere was very comfortable and relaxed, live music was playing. If you're in the mears area, definitely worth checking out. Everyone was super nice and made sure you enjoyed your time. Again, I can't stress this enough, the food was delicious. Also note, there are about 2 vegan options available if you have someone that is a vegan. Which was a nice surprise to find at this little piece of heaven in the middle of rural upper Michigan. Worth giving a shot!

Actually had so much more fun than I thought before, the wait was just a little bit but it was understandable because they were PACKED.

We took our troop here for lunch and the food was good. They had an event going on there and a Ford Bronco show going on.

This is a great place near the Silver Lake sand dunes. It is located on a nice golf course. The golf is a bargain. The bar/restaurant is cozy and clean. They have great pizza and subs. Come up to play on the sand dunes. When you are done come here for a pizza, round of golf and a bucket or two of craft beer. Relax with friends, family or just yourself. You will want to come back again.

They showed us where to go for great things like climbing the dunes safely instead of slogging up heart attack hill!!
And apparently there's a creamery in New Era where you can get fresh creamy cheese curds and milk right out of the cows almost.

We had a great experience here! Met the owner who is so nice. Loved the food. The kids played while we listened to live music outside. I wish i took some pictures but we will definitely be back.

2/19/22?- returned for father's day. A solo singer who did a great job doing cover songs. Love this pizza. Owner and family are great. You order and pick up food and bring to your table but it's all organized great. Kids played where we could see them but we were able to be alone a bit. Other kids played over there too. This was really nice for us.

The pizza is the best in silver lake, and the vibes at the bucket bar are always the most chill.

This is by far our most favorite vacation spot! We always stay in the "Cottage on the course" it is an old farm house that is perfect for large groups! Yes the house is dated but it's super clean and can handle lots of family and friends! The course is a fun 9 hole that is just steps away from the cottage and the bucket bar is a great place to unwind and catch up on the last golf game while enjoying an ice cold beverage with options ranging from Michigan wines, to craft brews on tap, to your good old stand by's. It seems like there's always something going on here for everyone in the family. Bill and Alicia always make you feel welcome while you're here!

We had an awesome time at Golden Sands Golf Course. Our group of 7 adults and 8 kids stopped in for lunch. Big menu had something for everyone. We sat on the lovely covered patio. After lunch we got some buckets of balls for the driving range. The kids, most of whom had never golfed, loved it, so we scheduled a tee time for a few hours later. We all enjoyed ourselves, and the kids are excited to go golfing again! We have decided we'll do the same next summer when we are back!

Basically, I created a complicated order online and was 100% sure it would get screwed up, as it always is . I needed vegan cheese on a pizza but couldn't figure out how to ask for that and didn't feel like calling, so I added it to notes. But only in one pizza. The other pizzas were as is, only no onions. Not only was everything perfect and ready when they said it would be. It was AMAZING. the pizza crust, delicious sauce....it was SUPER expensive, but the fact that everyone got to eat exactly what they wanted made it totally worth it. Thank you!!

The chicken wings and tots were amazing. Hot, fresh, and delicious! Nice beer selection. Not to far from silver lake dunes. Beautiful out door seating which is also dog friendly!

My son and husband like the golf course. We ate dinner there as a family of 4 and loved it! The outdoor seating was fantastic with complimentary games (carpetball, bocce ball, hula hoop, Cornhole). The pizza, bread and salads were delicious. Relaxing setting we all enjoyed!

Our 2nd trip to Golden Sands for a relaxing light dinner. Once you know the “ropes” on how to order, etc, the place is relaxing and enjoyable! Nice atmosphere and setting at the edge of their golf course. For basically an order and take out place, the food is pretty good!

Great family atmosphere and awesome pizza. We stop there every year while camping. Plenty of activities for the kids to do while the parents enjoy the $1.00 special. Plus it’s great to see the owner there checking on guests and the staff are super nice.

Real nice place...do not let how it looks an feels stop you. This place is run by very nice people that obviously want to put out a superior pizza and they have done it. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try.

This place is awesome. My kids had a blast playing and running around and I loved the food and atmosphere. My family and I will absolutely be going back and look forward to another great time there.

Stopped here last week with my family and Grandparents for supper. The owners are extremely friendly and have a ton of stuff to do for the kids. Pizza was excellent also. I will stop back every year when i am on vacation here.
