The Meats / Additional: I ordered the Open Pit combo which included BBQ Ribs and 1/2 BBQ Chicken, fries, coleslaw and a dinner roll. I also ordered a piece of cornbread. My favorite was the the BBQ chicken, the meat was perfect and the sauce that they put on there was excellent! A must try. I also really enjoyed the cornbread, it's sweet and buttery. The ribs were also good but the chicken really took the cake. I would order the same exact thing next time. It was plenty for me, I was able to make 2-3 meals out of it, which is great for the price.
The Sauce: Since this is a BBQ place, they have what seems to be their house made BBQ sauce on the table for you. It was a little sweet but mostly tangy. It was good, just not my thing (I'm more of a sweet BBQ girl myself) I also got a taste of the buffalo sauce, I would give it a solid 7/10, not bad just nothing to write home about.
The Service: This is a small business, so there are not too many workers but everyone I interacted with was so nice and timely. Absolutely no complaints.
The dining room / Atmosphere: There is a plenty of seating inside, everything was clean and organized.
Overall: I would recommend to anyone in the area looking for good, decently priced BBQ. I will be returning!

This is an unassuming restaurant on the North end of a strip center located on the South West corner of Five Mile and Farmington in Livonia. I have been frequenting Zukin’s restaurants since the 1960’s. The chain was started by Walter Zukin and then carried on by brother Norman. The food taste’s the same ! Absolutely phenomenal. I highly recommend Zukin’s the best chicken and rib barbecue I have ever eaten at!😊

Had a fantastic dinner tonight. My husband had ribs and fish and it was cooked to perfection. I had a chicken tender meal and the tenders are not small and they are so juicy and yummy.

OMG, I had dinner here with my wife and I'm furious. I'm furious that I have lived by this establishment for years and never eaten at it! Seriously!
The Mac n cheese is out of this world! We also had the ribs, which were "fall of the bone" amazing! Three days later I went back and had the beef brisket sandwich. You will not find a better one, period! Not one bite of gristle or fat. My wife is super picky when it comes to meat quality. She didn't have anything left on her plate either time.
You will not regret your choice to eat here!! ❤❤❤

The manager working upfront was amazing and the food was even better!!!! Absolutely delicious, they have a nice bar, and an outside patio which is nice! Their mac and cheese is SO good!!!!

Back in the late 60's early 70's there was this BBQ place with the most delicious ribs and sauce... My brother and I would take our extra money from delivering the Detroit News paper to buy their fries loaded with this delicious sauce. Only on special occasions we purchase their tender ribs. They were located on Conant near 8 Mile. Zunkin had the neighborhood smelling good! I stop in today I was flooded with great memories and great FOOD!!! Nothing changed! Thank You!

Excellent food! Fantastic BBQ! I've gone to this restaurant a few times before writing the review. Both times ordered the ribs and chicken combo which consist of 8-9 bones of ribs and half a chicken. Portion size was very generous and both cooked perfectly. Both were pull off the bone tender just as they should be and not gummy like other BBQ places in the area. Ribs were half short end and half long end. Comes with a side of Cole slaw and fries btw. BBQ sauce was good resembling Open Pit... A sort of tart flavor. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area wanting excellent quality BBQ.

The short ribs were awesome,also a special treat got a piece of carrot cake for my birthday for free. Super!!

Here's what's left of a 21 shrimp lunch snack from Zukin's Rib Shack. The ribs are good too, pretty tender, with an Open Pit-style sauce is served here. The rib kabob is similar to what the Asian restaurants serve as sweet and sour breaded chicken or pork. Then just dipped in BBQ sauce. Try one!

My first experience was great! The people there were very nice and the food was EXCELLENT! Do your mouth a favor and get the RIB TIPS!

I lived in TN much of my life, where BBQ is HUGE. I have had all kinds. This Zukin's location has AMAZING FOOD! We are addicted to their food. We visit almost weekly. I joke that I keep coming back to find something that I "don't" like. I am still trying. 😁 Great place and people! Amazing Food!!!!!!

This place is awesome...the food was soooo good, chicken was tender, the fish and shrimp were fried to perfection, the ribs just melted in your mouth, the cole slaw was juicy 😋 I died and went to food heaven...the restaurant is very neat and clean...the young lady at the counter was very helpful...and yes I'd recommend this resturant...I'm going to be a returning customer.

I've recently tried this restaurant and everything has been wonderful. Rib kabobs, pulled pork, coleslaw all great. Fried pickles are a touch spicy but great flavor. Tonight I tried the 5 mile fries and they were phenomenal!! I definitely will keep coming back!

Prices a bit high, but food quality is excellent. Ribs, chicken, shrimp and fish were excellent. Fries are seasoned steak fries and are good. Pizza, coleslaw, and roll are ok.

They did a nice job with this spot. Oak Parker is great for a big meal, and they’ve got some good beer on tap as well.

This place is awesome. I ordered the southern chicken dinner and a side of Mac and cheese. The chicken, mac and cheese, and potato salad were incredible. Service was great and the place was very clean. Overall very impressed
