This is the perfect location. It’s close to food, shopping, and activities. You can walk everywhere. We really enjoyed the private beach for swimming. The kids enjoyed the hot tub. The views were great. We would definitely stay here again!

Great location. Beautiful lake and sand dune views. Friendly staff. Cheryl was a very helpful (she allowed us to check in early and suggested a great place to eat dinner). Large pool and hot tub with the best views ever.
Only negatives were the pool was cold and the beds were firm, but I won't take any stars away for either of them. Great place to stay!

Probably one of the best hotels we've stayed in while in Michigan. The rooms were not fancy but it felt like home. Beds and pillows were extremely comfortable and for the first time while traveling I didn't wake up with an achy back. Staff was super friendly and great to talk to and get information from. Her name was Brittany amazing. If we ever come back to Michigan I know we're staying here. Worth every penny and it wasn't even expensive. Highly recommend

I’ve been coming here since I was 12, which is over a decade of loyalty. Ive been coming here with my family & friends for years and it’s never disappointed. Also, shoutout to Sam at the front desk, she’s great! 10/10

Beautiful scenery, beautiful stay. Not that this matters, but it does.. majority of the population in Mears is white. However, the hotel staff was very welcoming and pleasant. We enjoyed our four night stay. The views were like non other we've experienced. We stayed in the balcony, jacuzzi, suite, with beautiful sunsets and sunrises. Would most definitely stay again. Thank you.

Had a nice experience at this hotel for my brother's wedding. The rooms were a great size and the staff was incredible. Heidi helped us get everything set up and was very responsive with all of the changes that come with planning a wedding. Would definitely stay again. Amenities were a little outdated and there is no breakfast service but that didn't keep us from having a lovely stay. Thanks everyone at the hotel, appreciate the kindness and space to see loved ones!

Stayed here Labor Day weekend, we booked a couple days before and we were a large family. The resort was accommodating and the perfect location for our staycation. Although they were short staffed, like the rest of the world, staff was courteous and helpful. All smiles and very friendly. They provided us with some honest recommendations for dining in the area. The location of the resort was serene and efficient, boating/jet ski rentals across the street; surrounded by ice-cream shops at every corner; and an amusement park just behind the parking lot.

Beautiful scenery, area attractions were great. We did a winery had a great time live music and dancing a good chocoudery tray and awesome wine. Mac Woods Dunes ride was awesome. And the the horse back riding experience was nice. Ppl were super friendly. Will definitely return.

I’d recommend this place. Easy walking access to just about anywhere. Staff was friendly. Little outdated but that didn’t bother me. Silver scoops across the street is good. Chicken shack for some wings to die for. We even walked to our buggy rental place. As for the resort in the name.. there’s not lobby bar or restaurant. But there is a hot tub and pool indoors. The whole point is convenience and to enjoy your surrounds not to be in a hotel so.

Clean, always a factor with us. Bed was comfy. I do wish there was a screen on the sliding glass door though, would've left it open over night...
Pool area looks nice, although we didn't use it.
Went after Labor Day so you have to drive somewhere for meals. Wish everything didn't shut down so early.

Once again, fantastic. We are a repeat customer and had another great experience. Due to it being insanely windy and cold this July weekend we spent more time indoors than planned, however it was great. We had a wonderful time in the pool and playing boardgames on our comfy beds. We were on the first floor and had no noise issues whatsoever. Make sure you pay a couple bucks more for the lake view room, you won't regret it! We didn't last time and we said over and over we wish we did. BUT if you don't get the lake view just go to floor #4 (the pool) at sunset and walk to the giant balcony. Bring your camera because if you've never seen the sun set over the sand dunes on a lake you haven't truly lived.

I’ve stayed here three times and I have zero complaints. I’ve slept better here than a Hilton, it’s so relaxing. The rooms are big and always clean. My wife and I stayed here on our wedding anniversary once and the staff came outside with us and took pictures of us with the lake and scenery. The pool and spa on the top floor is awesome and we even had a fire and barbecue on their private beach by the water. Our tow vehicle for our sand dune vehicles is over 60 feet long and they even had parking for that. All of the activity’s and restaurants are right across the street.

Great views of the water and Dunes! Super close, just a few steps, to the ski boat, pontoon boats, jet skis, and other recreation rental office! They have their own private beach area with playground equipment as well. The Staff was very friendly. They have a pool as well. Quite a few places to grab a bite to eat,or a sweet treat! Lots of stuff for kids to do nearby!!

Our family had an excellent time here. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean (the carpet was amazingly clean!) and could have used a microwave, but we survived. Our room had a balcony and it was well worth the money. The view of the lake and the dunes in the morning and at sunset was wonderful and relaxing. I drank my coffee every morning on the balcony while the rest of the family got ready for the day. The indoor pool was great for small kids. The private beach is also very nice and furnished with small playground equipment. Swimming at the hotel beach is ok, there is a breakwall there so you can't walk right into the water, but that was no big deal to hop down into the water.

I stayed here over the July 4th holiday with my wife and 2yo son. The beds are comfortable. The AC is cool. It is located within walking distance of nearly everything in the area you could want/need (food, drinks, entertainment). This hotel was the perfect place to stay for my family. Heidi at the front desk was wonderful (as was the rest of the staff). As soon as booking opens up for next year, I'll be making reservations again.

Best hotel/resort in the Dunes! Last year was our first trip to the sand dunes and we made the best choice staying at Dunes Waterfront Resort. Very friendly staff and accommodating. I highly recommend booking the patio “walk out slider”. Best view in the resort! Looking forward to our second annual trip this year!

Great location, fourth-floor pool, rooms with a great view of the dunes, and rooms across the hall with an extra room for kids! The indoor fourth-floor pool is fantastic, and has a nice hot tub. The pool is only four feet deep, but perfect for kids. Most other hotels here have an outdoor pool. And in Michigan it can be anywhere from 60F to 95F in the Summer. An indoor pool guarantees your kids will be able to swim! If you just need two queen mattresses, I recommend the dune side. They have a great balcony and the sunset is incredible! If you have a larger family and would like kids off in their own side room, the suites have two queen mattresses, a fridge, and a microwave in the main room. Then a queen mattress and a TV in the second room. We had one minor problem with our door lock, and the service person came in under five minutes and fixed it! The walls are fairly thick and I never heard a neighbor. But that also means that WiFi is not perfect. The hotel has done their best by putting lots of WiFi in the main walkway on every floor. But with thick walls your WiFi will not be perfect. Absolutely not a deal breaker, and if you REALLY need WiFi, leave your door open. But I figured I’d mention it.

I will admit it I was questioning this place to lodge based on pics etc on google; however our stay in Silver Lake was not planned and they had a room available. So glad we did. The building & rooms are very clean (simple, but not as "dated" as I expected). The location was perfect to walk to local eateries & water sports rentals. The pool was 1.5 feet to 3.10 feet perfect for parents with small childern. The best part was the staff, they were super helpful & nice!

Had a great stay here. Staff was super friendly and the view from our room was amazing. Yeah it was a little dated but it was cool. Retro is in right. We could see Silver lake and the dunes from the jacuzzi in our room. Location was perfect. Thank you for a great weekend.
