Perfect Fall kayaking/camping trip. Extremely accommodating for the time of the year. We were the only campers and only saw a few groups of kayakers renting. Primitive outhouse in decent condition and well water available. Well maintained grounds but unfortunately the mosquitos also loved the site!! Overall loved our trip and we plan to frequent this site for quick weekend getaways! Site 11 is the best spot, on the River, and in the corner on a generous sized plot.

Amazing fun time! Sites are primitive only but such an amazing hidden gem. Was a fun date weekend with just the hubs and I - we took their half day canoeing and a camping spot and enjoyed all of it. They have bathrooms. No showers though. But for a weekend it was good. (Brought shower wipes) there was a volley ball net. A huge grass area. A small playground. A picnic area. They rent canoes and kayaks either by the hour or half and day drop offs. They allow one dog per site. Great for kids too. If you have more than 4 people I'd suggest 2 sites next to each other

Small and quiet place to relax, friendly owner and very clean place. Well maintained and a joy to stay at. Firewood on site and delivered for a fee. Super helpful. Really enjoyed the views and the fact they offered canoe rentals made it even better!

A beautiful quiet little campground by the River Raisin in the southeastern Michigan countryside. I came up for Memorial Day Weekend to tour the Detroit area and enjoy the quiet and serenity of camping in the evening. This campground was about 50 minutes from Downtown Detroit, so not too far. It's small, with just a few campsites.

They also had canoes and kayaks for rent. I had to pass this time, as I was too worn out from my long jogs and time in the sun on the River Walk and on Belle Isle.

The lady working at the desk was nice and I enjoyed chatting with her. They were kind enough to open the front gate early on the day I left.

They had an outhouse only (no bathhouse), but no worries for just a couple days. Just heat some hot water and bring your washcloth or go jump in a lake (or Detroit River like I did), haha.

Great family-owned business since 1983. Everyone was friendly and they have a great place along the river to just picnic and relax while waiting for your trip.

We arrived as the first 10am group was boarding to leave. They have the option of taking a 7-hour (full day) trip or the 3.5-hour (half day) trip where they load your canoe/kayak and drop you up river. Alternatively, you can rent by the hour and paddle up or down river from the livery.

Prices are reasonable, equipment well-maintained, and the river itself is peaceful, clean, woodsy.

I've been visiting for years now.
Very nice family, excellent canoes and kayaks, comfortable river pace. Great views, lots of wildlife (if you're quite) even bald eagles
An excellent adventure right there in Dundee Michigan.
Super fishing too.

This place has the best spot right along a very lazy river, the camping is primitive with a outhouse and well water there are no showers, but I would not let that stop you from giving it a shot only planned on one night but the first night was so peaceful we stayed another night and there was zero noise pollution also very minimal lights so the star gazing is also great, the grounds are very well maintained, they will deliver the wood right to your site and for $5 bucks you get a lot of wood, the $20 fee is worth it will be returning here, almost forgot they also do the canoes and kayak rental for a very good price.

Very friendly family staff. Very knowledgeable about the river and concerned for everyone's safety. Kayaks are well maintained. Has a beautiful landing area with a pavilion that you can have lunch/dinner at before or after your trip. Did the half day trip and enjoyed it very much. River was high at the time of my trip and the current was still slow. Had a couple beginner teen kayakers and was confident they could manage the river even with it being high and possibility of running into trees.

Staff would also hold your keys sitting your trip in the office.

Would recommend this place highly and look forward to camping next time.

My 2 daughters took me for my 1st kayaking trip & I loved it! You accommodated me by letting me use 2 cushions, my daughters did ALL the work (we were in a tandem) and I just relaxed & enjoyed! I definitely recommend this company!

I took a group of kids here and they had a Blast! They have outdoors bathrooms that are very clean and the staff is really friendly! The area is very clean and well kept up. The only bad thing is cell phone service is horrible but why do you need to have service if you want to be one with nature? That's just my opinion.

I always have a great experience with River Raisin Canoe Livery. They have a wonderful & knowledgeable staff, always have a kayak that's perfect for me, and beautiful & convenient river access. I've been going there regularly over several seasons, and have always had a great time.

Probably the nicest, most family-friendly canoe livery I've ever been to, and that's saying something! Beautiful, peaceful river. Easy paddle. Great for first-timers. We may go back tomorrow!
