R Diner

We’ve recently moved to Monroe and friends who’ve lived there, recommended the R Diner. The variety of food is amazing. Breakfast all day, homemade biscuits and gravy, Mediterranean & Italian dishes, rice bowls, entree salads, wraps, senior dishes. Etc. We both got the Senior turkey and dressing. Large portions and great flavors. There are several choices for those that like more spicy food. The day we went it was super crowded but they were very organized and got people in and out with precision. It’s one of the most popular restaurants in Monroe and now we know why! We highly recommend the R Diner.

You get a large quantity of great tasting food for a good price. Service was speedy as well. Would highly recommend their lemon meringue - super light and airy and was the highlight of our meal.

I’m a sucker for diners and this place did not disappoint. Homely vibes, very large menu, good and fast service. Pretty good food and for 2 meals it cost us $25 before tip and it was a good portion for that price. I definitely recommend.

This place is awesome. Food portions are huge. Food is delicious. Prices are descent. Staff is very friendly. Spoke with the owner and she is a wonderful women. Good Ole fashion mom and pop rest. Would highly recommend.

I love R Diner! This family-owned diner has a versatile menu, excellent service, and convenient location. My parents like to bring me here and I can see why! I tried the Gyro Omelette and it was delicious. I will definitely be back sometime in the future. 😊

Had a great breakfast 😋. The waitress and hostess were both nice, the food was plentiful and pretty good. I'd eat there again.

Have had breakfast here many times. Food is always fresh, delicious and hot. Coffee is great, and service is excellent. Highly recommend the Country Omelette and the Irish Eggs Benedict. Everything we have had is been delicious so good luck making a choice!

10-20$ per person just about very big good sized plates for your money and food is delicious 😋 excellent staff!!

Cute little diner in Monroe, Michigan. Very clean and the wait staff is very nice and personable. The house salads are typical yet good and the chicken tenders are hand breaded with great flavor. Portions are generous and worth the price. The sides are very basic. The mashed potatoes taste like the boiled potatoes out of a can and the same with the green beans but that is pretty standard for diners. I would not order the sides again but will definitely go back to try the other items on the menu. My fiance enjoyed the grilled chicken fattoush salad. He got a large and could not finish it all. We are looking forward to going back to try the breakfast menu. They have a lot of options on their menu and a lot of variety from breakfast entree's to sandwiches, burgers, wraps, country style dinners and Greek/Mediterranean dishes. Definitely worth trying if in the Monroe area.

Food was very well presented and the chicken noodle soup was great! I had one of the Italian dishes and it was fairly good but the sausage was mediocre. Great restaurant for the family though and fairly affordable.

Great food. Large portions for the price. Crepes were really good.

Just a wonderful spot to eat, when we come back in the area it will be a stop for sure.

So many selections, but everything was amazing, you would almost think they could not get everything on that menue to be good buit it was! You definetly need to stop by this place.

Great atmosphere with great servers. Family oriented restaurant/ Diner. I ordered the meat lovers skillet with 3 eggs and rye toast.

Favourite local place whenever we come through Monroe. Plenty of food. Prices are reasonable. It always seems to have a lineup whenever we come. But somehow they manage to get me in pretty quick. Thank you.

Absolutely love this diner. The prep and the presentation of the food is what you'd expect from a bigger (brand) restaurant but the restaurant itself has that hometown feel to it. Waitresses are super friendly and personable (even when it's busy!) And the food, the food is incredibly delicious!!!!! A must try for anyone wanting comfort food or just a really good burger.

Been here several times, the food is awesome (if you go you've GOT to try the Broasted Chicken!!!!) and at a very reasonable price. The wait stuff are so polite, personable and very attentive. Place is also very clean too. 10/10 I'll be back again.

R diner was an incredible experience. My fiancé and I decided to try this restaurant and were blown away by the food quality and portion sizes. If your doing dine in order the Saganaki as an appetizer, you won't regret it!Before leaving we grabbed a to go order of food for dinner later that day. It was just as amazing as the restaurant experience, not soggy and delicious!!! If you guys would like an amazing waitress ask for Heather (she also goes by mom lol) she'll take care of you. The establishment is family owned and ran by owner's with a warm heart dedicated to amazing food and even more incredible hospitality. Eat it, you can't say I didn't tell you.

Very delicious! Portions were bigger than I bargained for, and I was shocked by how cheap everything came out to be on the bill. Definitely a great place for a bite!
