El Vaquero Mexican Restaurant

Literally the Best Mexican food I've ever had! Everything was fresh and the portion size was huge. The steak fajitas nachos were to die for. The chimichanga was really good and the beans and rice it came with were definitely not dry and very tasty. For dessert, the honey on the sopaipilla was the perfect touch. Honestly though, it was the salsa that stole the show for me, lots of onion and garlic.
If I had to say anything, it would be the prices, they were a little expensive.

Some of the best mexican food I've had in Michigan. I come here every week for company lunch. Kind servers, incredibly fast service, good food. Sometimes the chips won't be fresh, but they always taste good regardless. My favourite is the tacos al pastor, but everything here is great!
Amazing atmosphere, the inside is a little packed but has some nice architecture.

If you are interested in a good place to eat and enjoy yourself this is definitely the place. In Monroe Michigan there are not to many good Mexican places but this is by far one of my favorites. Don’t take my word for it try it yourself ❤ you will not regret it ❤

Went there for an afternoon snack and a little drink... Excellent guacamole and one generous margarita!

Hard to find better service. They were great, very fast which is good. I'm not always in a hurry to eat but that night in particular we were a little rushed.

Probably the best Mexican I've had in MI. The ingredients are fresh and sliced to perfection. Sauces on point. Vegetarian selection is amazing. See the Enchiladas Veg and Chimi Veg in my pics. I almost didn't want to eat as it looks like art.

If I'm going out for a good Mexican cuisine in my local area, I'm going to this spot. They have cheap tacos on Monday and Tuesday for $1.69 a piece. They have a great drink selection, and friendly staff.

There is a bit of a wait because it's usually busy. Huge portions. Good prices. Clean environment environment. Amazing food!! Great staff!

I work with a disabled lady and the staff there was amazing. They catered to her and asked her questions ( even though she would not answer them) the food was heavenly. Thank you for making an amazing experience for all!

A dumpy little place inside a Mexican grocery store. The atmosphere won't win any prizes, but the food is just fine.

Excellent margaritas!! The pollo margarita was wonderful. Marinated chicken with salsa and cheese with sides was more than I could eat. My husband had enchiladas that were super.
Restaurant was clean and all of the staff was helpful and polite. Lots of locals even at 3:39 in the afternoon. This shows it has to be a great place. A must try

I have eaten here for several meals. Many menu items for you to choose from, you should find what you like. My favorite is the fajitas but every item I’ve had was delicious. One thing you should know is that they are heavy handed with the queso cheese here. If you like queso, this is your place!

Best place to get awesome, authentic Mexican food. We've been coming here for years; their tacos al pastor are unrivaled. Service is always great, food comes out quick even when the restaurant is packed, and they've got a wide selection of cocktails and drink specials. Nothing on their menu has been a disappointment.

Started out with a great pitch Margaritas, chips, and salsa. Very tasty tacos 🌮 and on special on Tuesdays. I haven't had a meal there that I didn't enjoy. My son turned me on their Maria's dish, a chicken with a Molela sauce. Umm, umm, good 😋
