Staff were fantastic, very friendly and personable. Very informative for first timers on the dunes. They were great with our kids making sure they were buckled and safe in vehicle and our son loved playing with RC cars while waiting for our time slot. Great to have someone out on the dunes incase anything goes wrong so you don’t waste your time or money. The two hour slot was perfect and price was reasonable compared to other companies in the area.

Silverback Offroad Rental is the place to go! This was my first time taking a vehicle off-roading and Roy explained everything thoroughly and concisely. Roy actually drove out to the dunes to check things out and let me follow him on a steeper section of the dunes. This gave me all the confidence I needed and really created an enjoyable experience.

Me and about 23 of my guys came out here for a guys trip from Chicago. The dunes were incredible. Roy and Kyle were the BEST!! This is by far the best ATV spot I’ve ever been to. Roy and Kyle know how to handle their business and make sure everyone is having fun. No place like this! I’ll be back for sure!

I highly recommend Silverback Off Road Rental. This was the first time I used them and will definitely be using them again. The staff was very friendly and they made everything very smooth and easy. Their equipment that they rent are very well-maintained and they explain everything to you.

Rented quads today for my 60th Birthday with my daughter. The rental units were in top shape, I had a minor failure with a key switch, Brett was out to meet me on the dunes in less than five minutes, he had the team bring me another unit in less than ten minutes and I was on my way. Brett had them add 30 minutes to our time on the dunes. The customer service was amazing. I wouldn’t rent anywhere else, just the location alone is worth taking the time to rent here. High quality equipment, excellent safety prep and instructions. The best customer experience ever.

We got to the dunes, and of course, our family wanted to go on dune rides. So after a day of calling around, Reading Many Many Reviews in the area, we chose Silverback! So my family rented 2 Atv's, 1- four seater & 1two-seater. There were 6 of us! The Men working here were nice, fast, and knowledgeable plus had some of the best equipment. (we drove around looking at all the places to rent from 1st) We walked in.. they accommodated us with smiles! We got there around 11:20 & by 12 we were already in the dunes on our way!!! We got back with about 10 mins to spare. We did the 2 hours with rented goggles! I recommend goggles the sand Flys! The equipment was clean, gassed and ready to go. I didn't see any of the silver back atvs getting pulled from the dunes.. I did however see the other company's equipment getting pulled out. It was a 6 seater, and I was glad that wasn't my family..( My Anxiety would have been crazy panicking) So with that said next time we head up to the dunes we will be going right to silver back! They treated us like family and that's what's important now and days! * OH and You have to Watch a Safty Video.. it's short sweet and simple! Safety 1st!! Thanks guys you rock! See you next summer!

Had a fantastic experience renting with them! Thorough and quick briefing of the dunes, where to drive, and how to do it safely. We rented a 6 seater for a family of 5 for 2 hours and found it to be just the right amount of time. Beautiful views of Lake Michigan and with a longer rental time you could bring and enjoy a picnic on the beach or go for a swim!

Fantastic service! They got me back on the dunes very quick when my primary exploded! Broke at 9am back on Saturday he dunes by 130. And only reason it took that long is I had to grab the part from an hour away!thank you guys for saving my weekend!

So much fun! We rented a jeep and a side by side and both were in excellent condition. The manager was fantastic. Highly recommend!

An absolute blast! Highly recommend Silverback Off-road rentals as their service is 5 star, ORVs were clean and ready to go, and prices and insurance coverage was great. They really went above and beyond to make sure our time there was great!

These guys were great! Professional, friendly and most of all STRAIGHT FORWARD! We brought our Jeep to the dunes, but wanted to rent something a little more sporty for a few hours. After doing a lot of research into the different rental companies… we noticed they all draw you in with rates that appear low… but then after all Of the add ons ended up being crazy expensive. Double the stated price!

When we looked at Silverback, their rates were as stated with no tricks and gimmicks. A reasonable deposit of $500 (as opposed to another company that was charging $1500!), taxes and THATs It! No “gas fee, dunes fee, clutch/ equipment insurance”…. All costs were very fair and up front. Their equipment was new and in excellent condition - and very powerful! Handled all aspects of the Dunes with no issues!

If you are looking to rent a vehicle at the Dunes, don’t mess around with anyone else… your best bet is Silverback!!!

This was the first time riding ATV and the best! Staff is friendly and helpful! The dunes and the view is beautiful! Highly recommend even during the time of fall (late Oct)

We had a fabulous 2 hour ride on the 2 seater Talon. The person at the desk was very friendly and helpful.
If you follow the directions given at the beginning you will have a fun, safe ride.
I highly recommend and would definitely go back again.

Excellent experience. Staffmade sure we knew what we were doing before we left. There were t of us in a six passenger ranger. Power was perfect. They recomended 2 hours and we brought it back a bit early. We all loved it. At 73 I can still get wild.

We rented 3 2 seater UTVs for a bachelor party. They were super accommodating when we had to change the day of the reservation due to the weather. Roy was extremely helpful when I called him and when we arrived.
The machines we rented were great for a 2 hour trip to the dunes. There are goggles and helmets available as part of the rental.
Highly recommend if you don't have your own ORV.

Great staff, super friendly and informative for first time riders. Good gear and machines, easy to deal with all around. End of summer fun experience! Will come back next year for sunset rides!

Had a great time! We were a large party (5) and they had a vehicle that seats 6. It handled the sand great and we were able to go up and down the dunes with no problems.

We enjoyed watching the vehicles attempt the tall dunes, watching them drag race in a flat area, and most of all - the gorgeous sunset!

Roy was fantastic, allowing us to stay out a few minutes late to see the sunset and coming out to check on us and show us how to get around to a 1-direction trail that let us go up and down some tall dunes.

Great place to rent a side by side. Family owned and operated. Service was amazing, the side by side was tuned down top speed 41 miles a hour but had no problem climbing anything out there. 100% would rent again and will do so next time I'm up here

Great place and people that'll ensure you have a safe, fun time out in the dunes. We were able to cycle our whole group through the drivers seat and had a blast.
Definitely would rent again, the three hour rental was perfect.

If you are new , and money is not a factor - pick for high power vehicles . If not take 20-30 mins and get used to the vehicle and have fun .
