I love the ladies at the counter! They are always so personable! Dealing with the public can be difficult but their attitudes are always fun and kind!

This is a Post Office right out of Mayberry. I kept expecting to see Andy Griffith come to the counter from the back. The employees were just so friendly and helpful. For someone like me who hardly ever uses a Post office, this one sure made my experience enjoyable

They think doubling the fee for a PO Box is an increase. That is not an increase, that should be illegal. It is no different than your rent or mortgage payment doubling. So, USPS is not regulated by any rules or laws? Shame on them!!!

Opens late and then the woman who's working says she won't tape up my package unless I buy tape. Never had anything like that happen to me at any post office, ever. Using carbondale lication exclusively from now on.

How anyone has a job at this facility blows my mind. 5 days no mail with items for delivery the entire time have received no mail. Probably have to double PO box prices because no one will spend their money here and I don't blame them. Old bat up there hasn't worked a day in her life.

I'd give this establishment negative stars if possible. They have lost my property tax bills, other mail and packages. The mail carrier lied about dropping off a package at a time I was outside waiting. When I made the third in-person query for one package, I was dismissed and told that my package had been delivered and they couldn't do anything. What a joke of an organization.
My mailman and mail lady are both really nice and they seem like they work very hard

Since August 2021 for some reason about 8 times out of 10 I do not get my mail on Tuesdays because the regular mail carrier is off. I have been at this address for 2 1/2 years. I have called and complained and they tell me that the pictures they take of your mail for the informed delivery is not exactly what you will get that day. I have always gotten what my email shows except since August. It does no good to complain. I’m only leaving this review because I saw my normal mail carrier across the street but yet I still did not get my mail today (saturday)

I lost my mailbox key and it was the only spare. I've been trying to catch the mail carrier to get my mail, but haven't been having much luck. I have packages being delivered and I'm scared they're damaged because they keep shoving it in the tiny box when it's already full. I called the post office and someone named Vicky answered. I asked her if she might be able to tell me what time the mail carrier would be in my area. She got very short and snippy with me saying that they had a lot of mail to sort through. I totally understand that and didn't want to be a hassle to anyone at the post office, but she didn't have to be a witch about it. Customer service there certainly sucks!!! Carbondale post office staff is much nicer!

Not sure how a post office can run so poorly. Can’t count how many times I’ve been at home waiting for a package and the post office will lie and say attempted delivery and have to wait longer for the items I paid for expedited shipping for. I cringe every time I see that my packages are shipping through them. Ups or Fedex is the only reliable courier in murphysboro.

Murphysboro post office is not handicap accessible. I have trouble getting into and out of there. Doors are heavy as I am using crutches.

It is a crime to charge people for 3 day shipping when it takes 7. If they're not gonna deliver packages in a timely manner they should stop charging people extra money for their lazy behavior

My mail carrier never attempts to leave packages just a note that he tries. I get everyone else's mail. Not sure I get all my mail. Worst mailman ever!
