Mount Pleasant Police Department

I live on main street and am retired. I see a large amount of what goes on from my recliner watching T.V., and my yard while the maintenance never seems to end. (my therapy; is my yard). I unfortunately got a divorce and the ones keeping the peace,the police officers, came to ensure peace was indeed kept. During my filing a restraining order, and her final day of moving; the police were Impartial, polite, and professional, doesn't cover it. When 2 people are not exercising less than appropriate standards to one another it's good to have an example of how to be respectful. An officer is after all human and has opinions. I'm sure officers were on both sides of the opinion. some personally feeling I was not so hot, and vise-a-versa some thinking this of her. I couldn't tell you one of them who I thought leaned in a direction. That's professional and impartial. Divorce is stressful enough without an authority figure looming around judging the situation. Especially for a person like me who couldn't be politically correct if my life depended on it, and have a knack for pissing people off. I've even gone on vacation and know an extra drive by to check on my property was done on more than one occasion. Protect and serve doesn't mean guard and babysit. That was impressive. I've been meaning to write this previously, but things get hectic adjusting in life sometimes.

I love our police officers, they definitely make our little town a safe place to live. They are dedicated, honest, and helpful.

Former police officer from Mount Pleasant. Glad to See Sgt Gray still there. He was one of two good ones. Remember his rookie days. Should be Lt or Chief brother.

Thanks Mount Pleasant Police for watching us struggle at the Post office today trying to get back on the road and the car parked illegally there and us trying to get around it all while you're sitting in the bank parking lot not doing a thing and another officer drove by while we were stuck in the middle of the road. So thanks a lot. I also do not recommend them.
