Bistro 29

This place is absolutely delicious. Anniversary with my wife and it was all perfect. The food was so yummy and fresh. The waitress said she had been there less than a week and she did a fantastic job. The drinks came a little slow but we didn’t mind it. 😁 all in all I would recommend! Thanks again.

My wife and I went here for dinner on a Thursday night and had an amazing time! April took care of us throughout the whole night making sure had we had everything we needed. The food was delicious. We got the trout special which was full of flavor and the bone in pork chops which was the best I ever had with so much flavor and moist. Everything was delicious!

My wife and I recently celebrated our 51st wedding anniversary with friends at Bistro 29 at the recommendation of a friend. We wanted to try the new menu and see the results of the recent remodeling.

We were seated with a window view near the bar.
April Rose kept us and her other customers entertained after we placed our orders. The entree’s and desserts were delicious.

Due to a mixup on my part, I paid in cash after also giving my credit card to the waitress. After noticing the charge had also posted to my account, I contacted the owner, Tommy Bui. I explained the situation to him. Tommy’s honesty and professionalism was greatly appreciated and he politely refunded my double payment.

We will definitely return in the future.

My wife and I were in town for a funeral and were basically wandering around trying to figure out where to eat. We were looking through the window of a pub whose social media made it look dismal, and there was guy standing down the sidewalk a ways outside of another restaurant (Bistro 29) saying “Come on in. We’ll take care of you.”
We did.
And they did!
Bartender was super-personable and made good drinks, but the food was absolutely outstanding. My wife had their salmon offering and I had the blueberry glazed pork chop. Both were incredibly delicious. The pork chop was the best that I’d had in a very very long time. Cooked to perfection! The salmon was flaky and delicious, and their sides were perfect as well.
I know that they’ll be closing soon for remodeling BUT we will be back.

Excellent experience at a fantastic value. First time. Ordered Tuna Poke, Cream of Asparagus soup & Sirloin with Wild Rice. All were delicious. Steal was a bit tough, but it was think and cooled perfectly. Poke was fresh with a delicious sauce blend. Soup was perfect temperature and consistency ... not too salty, not too bland.
Definitely recommend!

This place is amazing. It has a great ambience and the food was stellar. The service is great and the chef really knows his food combinations. Perfect experience.

This is an amazing place. The food potions are great. And when it comes to the table it is hot. The sushi 🍣can be pricey. The restaurant is very clean and the decor is beautiful. It's a must place to see and eat at when you are passing through Murphy NC. Would eat there again.

Everyone enjoyed my Birthday dinner. Great service and it’s always nice to have everyone’s food come out at once instead of waiting. We like the choices on the new menu. A bit heavy on the salt at times, but really good otherwise.

Thank you Jorge for great service tonight. We all loved our meals as usual. The duck was exceptional and so was the tomato bisque.

The six of us really enjoyed our dinner after having my son’s wedding at our house. The food is so good that we’ll keep this on our list of favorites for sure. Great service and Dusty the manager is phenomenal! She made sure we were accommodated every step of the way. Such service is so much appreciated and rare to find.

Awesome dinners: Lamb Chops, Steak, Cobb Salad with Salmon, and Vegan Pasta. Server was good but stretched pretty thin, as it was extremely busy. Reservations suggested.

All around a fantastic place to eat! We had the crispy brussels sprouts, scallop and mushroom risotto and half shell oysters. All were 10/10!

The redesign of the restaurant is beautiful! Great atmosphere. Food was outstanding and service was perfect!

This restaurant is amazing- dishes are so delicious - they are comparable to what you get in 5star NYC restaurants- we had Kobo Wagyu and Sea Bass, which were superb- also the cocktails are top notch

You guys had me worried but this restaurant does NOT smell bad. In fact, the carpet looks new and all of it newly renovated. Escargot was a non traditional preparation w caramelized something in cast iron. Wife loved it and I enjoyed it but still prefer butter garlic bread. Service is slow but it's obvious that the just made it from scratch to order. All was delicious. Pricey but delivers quality high end food.

I came here in February visiting & I was really impressed with everything. The food was awesome and our waiter was patient and understanding. A nice place for a date.

Bruschetta was phenomenal. Jacob and Bobby, the two chefs are great. Jacob even came and talked to me at the table which was cool. I ordered the steak as well, but it didn’t last long enough in front of me for me to get a picture. There are good drinks here too. The roasted red pepper tomato bisque was so good!

The Buffalo Chicken Salad was over the top. Service and comraderie second to none. Our new favorite place in Murphy. Thanks April!

Super tasty food. Genuinely friendly (and happy!) staff. Immaculate dining area. Pristine bathroom. Tasteful decor, elegant lighting.

From a locals perspective: Bistro 29 is such a relaxing place to be. If you're in Murphy and want to walk out of a restaurant thinking "Damn. That was NICE." then stop on by. Small menu selection compared to other local restaurants - but in this case, it's definitely a good thing.

Five stars, full stop.

New chef, same wonderful dining experience. My partner and I keep coming back for date night for a reason. Tanya (our server last time) is still there and she is wonderful.

Crispy brussel sprouts were delicious. The shrimp and scallop linguine was the best thing I've ever had in this town. Jorge was very helpful and gave great service.

Best Dinner In Town!! My Husband and I are both culinary trained chefs in the area and this was the best dinner at a restaurant we have had in the whole town! I highly recommend it! Drinks are great, service is wonderful, and the food is phenomenal. #1 restaurant in Murphy!
