Greatest Generation Memorial Park

Beautiful landscaping, clean restrooms, camera security, splash pad for kids, nice big pavilion for parties, bbq, several picnic tables and benches. They also have a big fenced pond with ducks and geese. The trail goes around it into the part of the larger part of the park with large shady trees. One of the best city parks I've been to!

The best duck park to walk around water & great play ground for children with waterfall for them to cool off in the summer. Enjoy nature take a walk. Bathrooms are clean!

We love greatest generation memorial park! Love feeding the ducks, walking on the trail and playing on the playground.

It's great for summer. There are small grills, the play area is very diverse, the pond is a great feature! My kids love feeding the ducks. I love that there is a path through the woods! Great for birthday parties.

This park is a pretty cool place to go to, and the playground is pretty cool. It has a decent selection of different activities for children of pretty much any age. It even has a duck pond for the kids be able to feed the fish and the ducks and they sell food there to feed the ducks and such. And has a water amusement area as well. We really like this part a lot! It has a lot of activities as far as the playground. It's got a lot of climbing things that you can do but also the original, favorite slides and such.
It has swings but only four, it has a splash pad that is open during the summer but we haven't gotten to do that yet. We really look forward to it this summer!
They have ducks and geese that are in the pond right next to the park, they've got a tennis court or caged in baseball area, never been over there so not sure.
There's also an area where you can do a birthday party or just sit down and eat. They even have bathrooms! It's clean and we always really enjoy our time here. It's just a very nice park!

Food was great our server was a delight.. all servers should be like her, friendly and very attentive

Freedom Fest 2019 was a great end to our family's 4th of July celebration! The kids had many activities to keep them busy, the live music was great, and the fireworks finale didn't disappoint. I also appreciate the clean restrooms and the abundance of security and local law enforcement. We will definitely do it again next year!

Great place to walk and stretch while getting fresh air and enjoying the Christmas lights at night..

My daughter and I went to walk on the path because this one is under the pines. We went @4:30 and there were very few people. We started at the pond, where we saw several turtles paddling at the surface. Them we walked the entire path, which circles back to the pond. We heard and saw many birds. The shade provided by the trees is much needed as the summer heat builds. When we made it back to the pond, some geese and ducks were there. We had a little concern they would be defensive, as a few fuzzy goslings were among the flock. But we kept our distance and the geese stayed where they were.

The boys had a great day at generation Park. They love the slide and swings, but the ducks and geese was the best! Can't wait until they turn the sprinklers on, the boys will have a ball!!!

Nice place to walk around the pond.

Such a nice park!! Has things to do for all ages!! And when Thomaston has festivals they hold some of them there!! Just a GREAT community to live in and the park is just so nice!

Beautiful place to exercise, or take the kids for some fresh air, feed ducks, hike, etc. Nice picnic tables and gorgeous view.

Its a very beautiful place to stop and eat outside.

Nice walking track, nice and shady, even has benches along the way. Nice pond in the center with ducks to feed and turtles. Water cooling area for the children along with swings, a pavilion and clean bathrooms.

I have a lot of great memories here! My husband and I went on one of our first dates here. We sat under the gazebo and talked about how many kids we wanted. We have taken our children here as well. They love the ducks that live at this park. Then there is also a playground for the kids to play on. There is a water fountain for the kids to run around in. I love chasing them through the water. It really is a great place to go to create memories as a couple or as a family...and it's free too!!

Great place to take your children, usually not a lot of people here. But we don't stop when someone is there smoking. Even though it's outdoors, 2nd hand smoke stinks! Just sayin'

It's a quiet, peaceful place to enjoy with family.

Park seems well kept, and some of the playground equipment is "toddler-sized", and my toddlers just love going to play here. Recently, my family went for Halloween trick or treating, face painting, and games! My little ones had fun! It's nice to see the community using the park for family events like this 😁
