La Bamba Mexican Restaurant

3rd Mexican restaurant we've tried in Ruston, how is this place not more busy? Best in town, and better than any in our home town (of which I won't mention). Thank you La Bamba.

It was good but as the waiter was taking my order for my drink I took too long so he tranquilized me, cut my limbs off, set me on fire and buried me, other than that it was perfect though!

Some drink specials ($6 flavored margs, love the frozen raspberry), creamy buttery queso blanco (so good), & tangy salsa without too many onion chunks (sometimes a bit spicy). Favs are queso flameado, Don Juan quesadilla, burrito La Bamba, Eddy's or spinach enchiladas. 1st visit at 545pm & service was fast. Multiple visits ~630pm and still great. Haven't had bad service here yet. Several TVs playing sports if you like that. Food prices are fair. We go here often!

I did not get our waiters name but he was great. From our grandchildren to our grown children to us seniors. There were 6 of us. All wanting different stuff but our waiter was right on top of it. He knew who each plate went to. The food was great and had plenty to carry some home. Kept us in chips and salsa. The only thing we did not like was that they were out of fried ice cream. Actually out of any ice cream. The grandkids were looking forward to that after eating their dinner. But we won't fault them for being out of something. Overall we had a great time and enjoyed everything!

Every time I go to Ruston I try to eat there either for lunch or dinner which is once every couple of years. La Bamba's is great and the food is excellent. The staff is friendly and very attentive! We enjoyed our lunch yesterday immensely!

Absolutely fantastic restaurant . Cute atmosphere with a homey, family feel to it . The server was very knowledgeable about the menu, offered suggestions , and had a lot of positive things to say about the working environment and the family running it . I had the chance to meet the owners and they were very personable and fun to chat with. Would 100% recommend this place !

Good service and great food!

We use to go here almost 3 times a week. Last week the good was okay. Not a lot of flavor like it used to have.

This place has the best steak in town, or anywhere for that matter. Their steak fajitas or steak quesadillas are awesome. I do not think I've had better steak quesadillas anywhere else in my entire life. They're seasoned just right, I cannot get enough. Yes, service sometimes gets slow - but that's with any busy restaurant when it fills up with 100 people at once. Their quality of food is unbeatable and this place is great!

If you are on the Interstate this is your quick and easy stop. Very quick and good food. You will not be disappointed. Also anything else you will need to get back on the road. Within a rock 🪨 through is Gas, Super Market, Walgreens and more.

La Bamba is such a great atmosphere! The food is always incredible and fresh. The employees are upbeat and care about their guest. La Bamba honestly never disappoints despite the fact that they are usually packed. Just goes to show how great of a restaurant it is! (:

We had my daughter's graduation dinner here with a party of about 20 with her siblings and friends and it was totally amazing! Food was wonderful the staff was super friendly, the price was right and my family was happy! Definitely got my vote! 😉💯

While working in Ruston I have come to learn that good restaurants are not in abundance. However, La Bamba is hands down the best restaurant in town. I make it a point to eat there each time I am in the area. During every visit the staff and owner are very friendly and genuinely concerned about every meal served. The place is very clean, service is outstanding and the food is ALWAYS amazing. Thank you La Bamba!

If you like spicy, order the green spicy salsa. It’s not on the me yet, but it’s fantastic. I also order the chili verde and the pork tamales are also fantastic.

Our favorite place for Mexican food! Usually go a couple of times a month! We love it! Husband would like them to make queso much thicker! He's willing to pay more to get what he wants.

Our food was very good. Our waitress was very nice, and made sure to ask.if there was anything else she could do for us. Great restaurant overall.

Everything at la bamba is excellent, but my favorite thing is their steak-I get everything with the fajita meat! Puffy tacos, burritos, nachos....so delicious. They also have weekly specials that always features family recipe authentic dishes!! Yum!

Times between ordering and receiving a takeout or dinning in have always been quick and correct. Most importantly, the staff has been friendly when arriving and departure. That alone is a main attraction or a loss to your business nowadays.
