Winter Haven Hospital

Ronald has had a lot of days of experience with Bay Care in Winter Haven. He was there in Nov. and again in Dec. and again March 11th. We did not have a problem with any of the care there. We appreciate the care Ronald received. He also has dementia so this made it a bit hard because he could not be his normal self. He kept telling the help things that did not make any sense. I had to help with their questions or permission, for important things. I am his wife of 64 years and have known him since we were 5 years old.

My father and I have been frequently visiting the Winter Haven hospital’s Infusion center for Chemotherapy treatments. In short, the entire infusion Team has been nothing but excellent. Specifically, Carson, Nancy, Troy, CeeCee, Liz and Damaris. My father has been treated by every Nurse there with absolutely no issues. All of this staff has a wonderful bedside manner with infectious smiles and caring hearts. You have to love what you do in order for this level of care to be presented from professionals. Thank you, Infusion team. It’s been great getting to know you. Hopefully the only visits we have with you in the future will be outside of the hospital!

Everyone was so caring, they made sure I was always updated on my surgery process the nurses, the staff the medical team gave me such a relaxed feeling. I was at ease at every point and the made sure i was well taken care of. Thank you all for being very caring and thoughtful of me!

My dad got admitted to Winter Haven Hospital on 3-8-2024 to the Cardiac ICU. I got in town that night at midnight. When I got to the hospital on 3-9-2024 every employee I encountered went above and beyond. This was a scary moment for our family and thanks to all the staff from security at front, nurses, PA’s, doctors, front desk, absolutely everyone!! Thank you all for saving my dad and making his stay perfect. He’s doing great by the way! Staci

I was admitted on March 11 to the ER. The response was very quick to be taken to Triage then taken to a room. Within seconds the Dr and nurses were there to help. The monitors were put in place and everyone was Very quick and Efficient! I was taken for x rays and a cat scan because I had fallen a few days before. Everyone was so kind and caring ! Yes, EVERYONE ! The Dr spoke with me about my test reports and recommended that I go to my family Dr which I will do next week. I only have one complaint and to me it really needs to be adressed ....the Pure Wick catherter that they wanted to use (since I had to use the restroom so much) was a True Nightmare! I have spoken to several prior patients and they had the same opinion..I realize it is more convenient for the employees..but it was a terrible experience..after a few moments I had to have it removed..Thank you for giving the opportunity to share with you..The Bay Care Team is AWESOME! Bonnie Davies......They are All very good workers..They All need a Raise!

I had an excellent surgery team and no major complaints with nursing staff. 95 percent were exceptional. I also had excellent care in the ER with minimal wait time. And my room post surgery was the nicest I've ever had and I've had two dozen hospitalizations.

I was pleased with the care I received when I entered the Emergency Department. It was surprise as to how fast and well the visit went. Everyone was courteous and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend Bay Care Winter Haven for anyone needing medical attention.

I received a call Friday, 3/8 that my dad was being admitted to the hospital in Cardiac ICU. I flew in Saturday morning and went straight to the hospital. From security to the front desk, nurses, PA’s, doctors, surgeons everyone we came in contact with was wonderful. They took such good care of my dad and answered every question he/we had. He had a pacemaker put in and we left the hospital knowing exactly what we needed to do. They found kidney issues that they have set him up with follow up appointments for. We can not believe that in all 3 days we met so manny staff members that impressed us. Thank you!

I had to take my son to the ER. It was recommended to take him here. I am so happy I did. Upon entering I was very pleased with the check-in process. Thank you to the security, as you made me feel secure being there. The check-in staff was super nice and very quick. The wait time was very brief for my son to be seen and getting into a room. The bedside manner from EVERYONE was phenomenal. The doctors, nurses, x-ray technician and even the wheelchair assistance transporter were very pleasant and kept us informed. Most importantly they were very kind and considerate to my son: having his first visit into an ER, which can be scary to a young child. This might not be my closest ER but worth the drive if the situation allows. Thank you everyone!

As a patient I have no complaints about the service received from the emergency room to the service of the nurses in the room, everything was first class, very professional. Thank you for taking loving care of me and helping me recover and for following up.

The Doctors, the Nurses, the nurses assistants, the technicians performing the tests down to the transportation personnel were fantastic. Room/ hospital were clean. Meals were excellent except the 45 carb diet wasn't
quite enough. The whole staff that l came in contact with friendly, polite and professional. I would like to thank them all and keep up the good work.

Every twist and turn of my diagnosis and treatment at the Winter Haven hospital was efficient and professional. Friendly and supportive staff from every department we dealt with.
The only thing that could improve was the temperature in the room. Would have been nice if I could have controlled the temperature myself. A little too cold for me.

It was an excellent experience. From scheduling appointments in person in the office to my 2 therapists Paul and Margie. They were very diligent, committed, responsible, kind and professional. I feel better. Many blessings and may you continue helping all the people who appear there.

I was impressed with Winter Haven Hospital from the moment I walked into the hospital until I was discharged the next day after total hip replacement. The administrative process was well done and efficient. I was further impressed with the patient tracking process that enabled my wife to follow where I was in the surgical process/recovery. Once checked into a room, the care I received from the nurses and support staff was outstanding. I could not have received better care. Everyone went out if their way to help either me or my wife. The patient portal was also of interest to me. I was surprised that patient medical information was promptly posted, including surgical notes, medications, etc. The discharge process was also very efficient until the time I got in the car and left for home. I would highly recommend Dr. Samuel Messieh and Winter Haven Hospital to anyone.

Even though the circumstances of being here isn't pleasant, the staff at the Infusion center have been exceptional in administering my chemotherapy treatments. They are very nice and attentive. Shout out to Carson and Troy for taking care of me the most, I've always have a positive experience with them.

The nurses and staff in the ER waiting room were welcoming and funny. The Nurse Tech that brought me to my room was kind and supportive. He made me feel uncomfortable getting set up with everything. The young lady who escorted me to the ct scan was unfriendly and reckless. She dropped the IV bag I was attached to while moving from the bed to the chair. When I was waiting to be escorted back to it, she pushed an elderly woman into the wall. One mishap could be an accident, but for something weird to happen twice in the span of 15 minutes was ridiculous. The people operating the CT SCAN were so empathetic. They were especially kind. Dr. Mohammed was extremely professional and made me feel comfortable in an embarrassing situation.

To my nurses and all the staff and all the doctors. Thank you so much. My name is Willis lathad. And ever since the hospital ride with the ambulance, people all the way to ER all the way to everybody. In my room that hit bthank God, you were all there for me. You do not know how much I appreciate everything all of you've done.You're so kind and thank you from the bottom of my heart.God bless you all

I never had a administration that have walked in to talk to my family about my Brother situation and Mrs Cari did a wonderful job letting us know and letting him know the importance of him taking therapy and getting back to his normal routine. I want to say THANK YOU SOOO MUCH FOR MAKING MY FAMILY FEEL COMFORTABLE AND EXPLAINING TO US HIS SITUATION AND ALL OF OUR CONCERNS. WE WILL APPRECIATE HER AND THE REST OF THE STAFF! Kristen M APRN with Team Health was my admitting nurse and she is wonderful. Very upfront and professional, straight forward answers. She was also very caring and understanding about all of the issues that I previously had. It is wonderful to know that there's still great people in the medical field. She is hands down my HERO for giving it to me straight on all aspects of my health, I appreciate you and once again thank you...

My Dad was in ICU. Every nurse was on point & very compassionate with his care. They went over & beyond. I could call any time & they were always very nice & answered any questions I had. They also called me with any changes that happened. Always in the loop. They truly care about the patient..... an the family members too!
