Barefoot on the Bay

I was getting disappointed by the long wait but the tasty oysters and the incredible sunset view which I got negates all the disappointment that I had to face when I had to wait for a long time. The servers felt enthusiastic in working there and they were interested in showing customers their menu :)

One of the most peaceful meals I’ve had. Deck has such a relaxed and comfortable feel. When I was there it was not crowded and had our choice of seating. Watched the sunset and took pics. Ordered a lil if this and that from the menu. It was all well presented and very tasty and piping hot. Friendly, and helpful waitress. Easygoing everything.

Food was delicious, a little wait but with it, fresh and delicious! Haven't found a good place locally for a bushwhacker until today it was awesome and you get a souvenir cup! Gator, fried mushrooms, buffalo shrimp and tuna dip were all delicious plus you can enjoy a beautiful view off the deck while you feed a ton of fish and watch the boats come and go! Perfect for the family!

Simple delicious and the environment was perfect it was like my husband and I had the whole patio and beach front to ourselves. Will definitely be going back!!!

It’s fabulous- little hole in the wall and it has been the first place where we’ve been greeted and the waitstaff seemed glad to have us there.

My boyfriend got the sampler platter and -WOW- the amount of food was perfect. Everything was tasty. Fish cooked to perfection and lightly seasoned

I visited this place a few weeks ago when I was home visiting after nearly a decade devoid of fresh seafood. I was in search of a spot that served fresh, cold, salty Apalachicola oysters. After coming across numerous places, I found that they were either shut for the day or no longer operating. This is when my wife and I stumbled upon this place, and we're so glad we did! After explaining to the bartender/server what I wished for, he vowed to bring out the saltiest, biggest, and most flavorful oysters around. He did not disappoint - these were the largest and best oysters I've indulged in for years. My wife, originally from NY, had never experienced oysters like these. I had her try one, nothing but its natural taste. Her reaction was something familiar only from our intimate moments, lol. She eagerly consumed two more. We rapidly finished the dozen and ordered another. I can't emphasize enough that the server truly delivered on his promise. We savored a few drinks to accompany the oysters. The excellent oysters and service led us to return the following night for a meal with some of my friends. The food, service, ambiance were all delightful and the prices reasonable. I'll certainly be revisiting this place next time I'm home!

We actually started out across the street and wandered in here. We actually got an almost private dining experience at sunset right on the bay. It was amazing!!! The food was fantastic. We got oysters (both raw and baked) along with a big sample platter with Grouper, shrimp, gator bites, deviled crab mixed veggies, and cole slaw. Awesome meal for two with the best view on the bay!

It was a dreamy place in Panama City Florida✨ We love Mexican foods and they cooked really well. My parents came to the USA to visit me. This restaurant are fantastic as much as the beaches of this city. We loved spent time here. There was live music and amazing lake view in front of the restaurant. We sit in a perfect located table and had an awesome night. Waiter was so friendly. The prices was a little bit costly but completely worth it. Fajitas, empanadas and quesadillas areeeee delicious 👌 I cannot say the same thing for chimichanga!

Sit at the bar. The oysters (huge!) were shucked in front of us. The guy who did it was very informative, he showed us why he tossed the ones he did, both from the hollow sound (small) and the dirt (instead of clear water). I learned so much from him! These were the best oysters I have ever had, and they were huge! Three cheese bacon Jalapeño roasted were amazing as were the raw ones.

Oyster 🦪 on the half shell were out of Cedar Keys Florida. Large and very tasteful and salty. They serve many things on the menu but we were there for the oysters. The bar serve the oysters 🦪 raw and or loaded baked. They view of the sunset is by far one of they best views in Panama City.

Great quality and size oysters!! One of the best in Panama City and for not a bad price. It was $15 for a dozen raw and $18 a dozen cooked. Based on market value though like most other places, so it could fluctuate.

Great ambience also with an amazing view of the water. Go during sunset and you won't regret it. There were two live singers also that were amazing. Our servers Ivan and Maria were friendly and welcome also.

Can't go wrong with good food, music, atmosphere, view, and service!!

Sasha was our server, exceptional! We just had drinks and appetizers. So yummy with boom boom sauce, fried crispy. We had calamari best ever. Fried mushrooms loved the batter. Fried clams yummy.

This is my fav place to sit on the patio and have lunch or finish my work day paperwork as I have a cocktail. The interior of the restaurant isn’t very inviting (dark and gloomy) but the patio/deck is fab. Staff is always friendly and the food is good. The food is pretty standard fate that you can get at most beach tourist restaurants and I will admit it is iffy on how good it will be on any particular day. So why the five stars? You cant beat the view of the bay and the mega relaxed atmosphere. There is no pretense here (if you want that or a bit of fancy pants go next door)…just a friendly, “we are glad you are here” vibe.

We love oysters and Waterview! That little space can give you both at once ! Great food, fast service and awesome sunset view!

Me and my friend went here to have a drink out back and stare at the beautiful view of the ocean sunset. The food was amazing along with great staff. Our server Bailey was very attentive and had a fun energy about her. I definitely will be back and hopefully we get Bailey again because she made us feel welcome.

Craig is one of the best waiters we have ever had! He always greets us with a smile and remembers what we drink. Just provides such great attentive service. He deserves a raise!

Great food and atmosphere but the people that work there are top notch. Best service we have ever had. Bailey and Mamma are just the best. Try the jerk oysters, the best oysters In Panama City.

Andre is the absolute best server we have had yet. USUALLY the service is kind of slow.. but the food, drinks & view bring us back for more anyway.

But tonight, Andre provided excellent service.
He made sure to bring us waters & kindly told us he would be right with us.
He checked on us after our bar drinks arrived
He made sure my crab cake burger 🤤 was up to par
He checked on our refill status after a while

These are just a few of the many things he did to make our visit absolutely wonderful. We are so grateful to have him as our server tonight after a long weekend & a very long day 😁
