One of my favorite cigar shops! Imagine walking back in to the 60's and sitting in Archie Bunker's house, this is it! The clientele and shop is set up to be warm and welcoming. Mike and staff are the sprinkles on that cup cake! They are very knowledgeable, but also willing to let you peruse and not smother. If you need help, they are there! Great prices and selection! My truck goes on auto pilot to their door when I travel Route 28. I can't pass it by!

If you are a cigar smoker or buying as a gift this is a great store. Mike the owner is very knowledgeable and very friendly. I rarely smoke cigars but was buying a mixed box as a gift, and Mike was great in helping me out. I would recommend the store to anyone.

Fantastic place, walked in as a new customer and new to the concept of pipe smoking, tobacco, etc and they were very welcoming and informative. Mike was a very nice guy and I believe Christian was the one who helped me find everything i needed including helping me pack my first pipe. Hooked me up right and showed me all the ins and outs. I highly suggest Allegheny Smokeworks for all your needs!! Great people, great place and great conversations. Also they have a smoke room to just sit and relax for a bit. Can’t say enough about the guys here. Will definitely be back!

Great place! Super friendly and knowledgeable staff! Love it there! Great place to shop and also a lounge area to relax and smoke a pipe or cigar! Large humidor with a wide variety of cigars and price points. Not only is the staff very helpful, but the regular customers are willing to assist and share their insight. Fantastic shop for a beginner or aficionado! Mike and Paul are always available to help you with all your needs! Try their house ASW house blend cigar. Great stick at a fantastic price!

Every time in there, I find myself enjoying great cigars with fantastic conventions about engineering, business, politics and restaurants. What a fun time.

Best Smoke Shop in the area. The customer service is 5 Stars ⭐ and they have a great selection of pipe tobacco, something which I think is hard to find in the area. They also have a super nice walk in humidor.

The people at Allegheny Smokeworks have really impressed me. I cannot remember having a better shopping experience. The tobacconists are very friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. The pipe tobacco selection was everything I had hoped for. The atmosphere, the conversation, the smells of the cigars and the pipe tobacco... One could kill a half-hour having a smoke here daily. This is undoubtedly my shop for all things smoke-related and I would certainly recommend it to anyone.

An unexpected trip East had me looking for a local tobacconist to restock my meagre traveling supplies; Allegheny Smokeworks came highly recommended by many discerning smokers and after stopping by, I can easily see why its reputation preceeds it.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff, a wide variety of cigars, pipe tobaccos, and accessories, and a long history make this business well worth visiting. The staff were incredibly welcoming to my non-smoking traveling companion and even gifted her some nice cigar boses! I left the shop with a new Chacom pipe and a large selection of new smoking mixtures to try out, all well within my budget.

All in all, I had a thoroughly enjoyable experience at Allegheny Smokeworks and will definitely make a point to come back the next time I find myself in Pittsburgh.

Where to start, you walk into the place and everyone is happy. Mike greets you like your long lost friend. The smell of tobacco wraps around you like a blanket. Into the cigar room you go, so may choices. I. never knew there were so may brands and sizes. Expert help is just is just a wave of a hand. I'm an avid pipe smoker and as far as I'm concerned this isn't just the best backy shop in the area, it's the only shop in the area. Their selection of loose and canned tobacco is absolutely next level and the staff is knowledgeable and passionate about all things tobacco.

Highly recommend! Stopped in for a few cigars and some pipe tobacco. Left with everything I wanted and more. Mike is a really great guy. He knows his stuff when it comes to tobacco. Had a good time and will stop in next time I'm in Pittsburgh.

Mike has always been a great owner and host of this rather extensive cigar shop. He and his guys are always glad to suggest a few good selections if you’d like to try something new. The lounge is comfortable and often has some friendly regulars around to chat with. Relax with your cigar and watch some tv, grab a cold beverage from the fridge, or pour a fresh cup of coffee always on standby. It’s a local treasure and the BEST place in Pittsburgh for a smoke. You won’t want to grab and go, it’s too welcoming. And importantly, it comes with a great selection of cigars!

Popped into this place on a bit of a whim, aka a Google search, and was very pleasantly surprised with the warm welcome and fantastic help. The smells alone would make me go back, so there's no question I'll be returning. Great cigar shop & tons of knowledge.

Definitely a great place for all cigar and pipe lovers. When I first started getting deeper into learning cigars, at least three people (separately) took turns helping educate me, showing me which sticks I may or may not like, teaching me about different cigar types, tobaccos used, ring difference, just so much knowledge shares with me and time spent with me, that I have never been into a more helpful, or more friendly cigar shop than this one. One VERY important note, is that I have NEVER once seen any tobacco worms or worm holes in a single cigar in or from this shop. They take as much care of their cigars as they do their customers. A++
