High Country Lodge

We stayed 2 nights for a little family fishing vacation. The staff is very friendly. The rooms were very clean. We enjoyed the free bundle of wood and my kiddos loved the fireplace! Very quiet area and just a little drive to everything. We enjoyed our stay and will be back.

Such an amazing experience! Wildlife all around, lake Alto across the street! But the best part...the owners!! Great people, great service, great conversation! We will definitely be back multiple times and we will stay here every time! Cabins are cozy and comfortable! Love this place!!

Such a sweet spot! The common area has many wonderful amenities including a pool! The large screen TV and arcade feel makes you want to invite your family and have a party!

Great place for the price that's pet friendly with pool, spa and sauna. It was super cold but our cabin kept really warm with no need for the fireplace and we're definitely coming back to board in the next few weeks. The full size fridge was nice because we bought a bunch of food and alcohol for our stay. Didn't feel bad about leaving the dogs inside for a couple hours while we visited town because there was plenty of space and for them to hang out in.

I had been passing through the state on a trip. I was getting tired, and decided the idea of a cabin resort would have been a very nice change of pace and it was right through my route.

I was very surprised and pleased with the room itself. Being from California, I wasn't quite prepared for the cold outside. The room was already warm, and it had the added benefit of a wood fireplace. The kitchen was also very helpful as money was a concern. I had a cooler with me with drinks. The fridge allowed me to keep my my items cool without having to get more ice for the cooler until the next day, and the kitchen itself allowed me to go to the store and prepare breakfast and a couple meals for the road. Saved me a lot of money on restaurants.

I definitely plan on staying there on my way back through. Maybe I'll even spend the day to take in the surrounding area a bit next time.

I really liked the fact that they had two bedroom cabins with a full kitchen for the cost of a motel. Made the trip across New Mexico a pleasure. Very reasonable prices and beautiful area. Definitely worth diverting your route to stop here. Five stars all day!!

Great cozy lodges. Family of ten they were able to accommodate us and have us in two rooms next to each other. Close to winter park which is a lot of fun! It snowed a lot that the hills around there were great for sledding! Will definitely go back!

Beautiful views from the chalet that we stayed at. Very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The chalet itself was awesome, felt like that's where I belonged. Plan to go back and celebrate Christmas with the entire extended family. Just beautiful.

This is where my newly wed wife and I stayed for our honeymoon and I can honestly tell you it was the "Ultimate Experience"! We could not have asked for a better place to spend such an important and memorable time. Do not pay attention to the bad reviews,they are COMPLETELY INCORRECT. We will be back quarterly ,Now with our family and friends. We will tell everyone we know what a great place this is. The staff and management were Bar None THE BEST!! The pool & hot tub were FABULOUS! The entire property was quite the magical experience! Cabins were huge and extremely clean,firewood was free and overflowing,grills all thruout. Basketball ,tennis & handball courts were so cool! Game room was incredible!!! Billiards & pingpong,foosball,hunting arcade game all TOP NOTCH!! Do yourself a favor .................stay here and start creating those Special Memories. THANK YOU HIGH COUNTRY LODGE-SEE YA REAL SOON!

I Haven't Left A Review For Any Place We've Stayed At But I Just Had To Now. Very Cozy Two Bedroom Cabin For An Affordable Price. We Have Found Our Place To Stay Every Time We Want To Hit The Slopes. 5 Stars For High Country Lodge In My Book

Amazing, Peaceful and Relaxing Place. Has a Great Family Atmosphere and A Wonderful Helpful Staff. Always Nice in The Summer and Amazing in The Winter, Very Closed To The Ski Run Road Turn Off and The Winter Park.❄🌌

It was perfect for us. The kids could play in the pool at night and during the day we could just hop across the highway for fishing ♡ fireplace kept us nice and toasty all night 🤗

Old school rooms loved the decor walking distance to alto lake....just needed a bigger bed other than that we loved it .best part no cleaning fees like other cabins out there

Quaint, rustic cabins. Love it! Managers are so sweet and kind especially Leticia! It is outdated but part of what I love about it! I will definitely be back!

Great views, great people, great local food. Warm fire every night. Having a kitchenette and BBQ grille outside your door makes it feel like home!
