Central Ace Hardware

Love this store. Ive been going there since 76. There were times back then when I would run out to Home Depot, Stambaughs or Lowes and not find what I wanted. Only to find out our neighborhood store had. I eventually started making them my first stop and saved alot of gas. It's a great family owned to just walk around in and come across thing of ma jigs I never knew existed
Great family business.

We needed fittings to connect two different size fittings. He immediately asked if I needed help, and he figured out exactly what was needed to finish the project. I juat wish I knew his name.

Recently moved here and unfortunately when moving i lost some screws for my couch. I came here for replacements and was in and out fast and with the right sizes!

This is the best hardware store in the world, basically because I'm a big nerd who collects action figures and they have a huge Isle of action figures...I found cobra commander super 7 ultimates there..

Friendly and helpful staff. They carry Benjamin Moore paint, which is the only paint we like to use. Couple awesome pinball machines you can play while you wait for your paint to be mixed.

An old fashioned hardware store where service comes first. When you walk into this store you feel like you've gone back in time with the real wood flooring and all the bins of nails, screws etc. And yet this store carries all the modern essentials from kitchenware, camping things to toys for the kids..
I've gone to this store for years and the staff gives 110 percent. You're met with a greeting of "Is there something I can help you with today?" Today my daughter took in a broken plastic piece from her camper canopy that had broken. Although they didn't have that particular piece she needed, the dark haired young man took the pole and rigged up the pole to work better than ever!

Whenever I need Christmas lights for our camper during the summer the guys will go into the downstairs storage and come back with exactly what I want. I love this place!!!

Fantastic store and very helpful people. Won't go anywhere else under any circumstance. Support your local store, so much better than big box stores. These are becoming harder to find, lets give them our support and business.

Always willing to answer your question and give helpful advice from folks who actually know what they're talking about. Location is in a old building that they've also turned the basement into a sales area. The floors creak on the first floor / street level which adds to the charm of the building. Family owned and operated. Very nice selection of products and if what you want is not in the store but at the warehouse, it will be shipped to the store free of charge.

The store staff is amazingly helpful, they are always nice and usually have exactly what I'm looking for. It's my first choice when I need something for whatever project I'm working on.

Always customer oriented, personable, and prompt response whether by phone or in person. I appreciate their efforts and suggestions. Glad to support local business. Products are much better quality than in big box stores.

The staff at Central Hardware are very knowledgeable and their inventory is surprisingly diverse. The result is a store where you can walk in with a broken part and vague idea of how to repair and walk out with knowledge and the right parts or tools. They are easy going about returns if you buy more then needed. Compared to the big box stores they are typically a little more expensive but but not always. The real savings is when you factor in the cost of your time and knowledge. Where-as Home Depot or Lowe's will typically take hour or longer to get a minor part and their associates have little to teach me. At Central I expect to be in and out in 10 minutes and am more knowledgeable after the visit.

Came here to buy ice melting salt that is safe for dogs. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They have things that other hardware stores don't. I would recommend this store to everyone

Been going to Central for over 30 years. Why? Local business, knowledge, needed product availability, and competitive pricing. I even Xmas shop there.

I love Central Ave Hardware. When you walk in they almost immediately ask if there is anything they can help you find. Otherwise it is overwhelming, they have everything. Thanks for your help, it made my visit super pleasant. Everyone should check it out. You can just go for yourself!
