Deer River State Forest

Such a beautiful place to come enjoy nature. The forest provides an excellent opportunity for outdoor enthusiasts to immerse themselves in the beauty of nature and enjoy a rejuvenating walk. Only thing is I had trouble finding the entrence and parking place. Overall great experience listening to the sous of the water going down the river was definitely my highlight.

We went tubing down the river, don't recommend unless you've done it before, there's a lot of rocks & fast water. Depending on water level some rocks can be unseen by high water.

Beautiful, peaceful forest. Great for camping. We went to the campsite near the steel deck bridge and had a wonderful time.

Awesome place! My family and dog love coming here.

Most of the United States of America is filled with beauty,take care of the land and dispose of garbage properly and it will remain that way.God bless.

It was chilly but really something to see.

Was excellent for the scenery. The drive in is a bit rough. But well worth the travel. Love getting off the beating path, just enjoying mother nature.

It's a nice area to drive your 4 wheel drive vehicles, on the side trail to site see in the woods , trails are very bumpy from pot holes though! In the winter the roads are nice for snow sled riding!

Beautiful and soul healing place. I have a secret spot we go to a lot and just relax and wash the week and troubles off in the waterfall.. Amazing experience EVERY TIME......

I love driving up through the back roads (Conservation Rd, etc ) viewing the scenery, visiting the area where there was a foot bridge, Split Rick area. My father worked for the CCC's 40+ years ago on all those roads and woodlots, etc, enjoy it!

I live on the outskirts of the forest, take my daughter to swimming holes in the summer. Very peaceful

Have a camp in the area. Lack of people makes it very pleasant
