My work laptop suddenly stopped charging when I was in town working remotely for a few days while we closed up the cottage for the season. So, I'm hundreds of miles away from my office and any of their IT Support. When I arrived at the store, he tested the ac adapter cable and confirmed it was in fact dead, then set me up with a universal charger strong enough to handle my powerhouse work laptop. It came with about 16 different plug-in adapters so that I can use it with any laptop in our household. I had also purchased a power inverter for our car from Batteries Plus, who swore it would power my laptop without ever asking for the model name and number, but it didn't work. At Universal Electronics, he helped us find a power inverter with high enough wattage to power the laptop while we traveled 11 hours back home in the car. This store has friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful people.

Universal Electronics is top notch. The technician (Mike) and his receptionist (Michelle) are fantastic. I took in a 1980 Sansui Receiver that I had purchased on my first Air Force assignment. It quit working about 2 years ago. I wanted to keep it because I still have all the old components that go with it. Mike and MIchelle kept me informed of the progress and the costs the entire time and it was completed and back in my hands within 6 weeks repaired and clean. If you want quality work in a timely manner, I would not hesitate to use them again for my electronic repairs and make referrals to anyone.
Additional Note: Mike repaired my receiver in 6 weeks at Universal Electronics. I say this, because Robin (male), the so-called technician at Nicks Electronics in Ludington, had that same receiver for over 13 months and failed to repair it after numerous excuses, and loosing parts.
If you want a quality job and repair for any kind of electronics repair to include emergency vehicle radios and equipment, I would encourage the police departments, EMS, Fire Dept, and others to use Mike at Universal Electronics.

He saved me half cost by repairing my vhs player verses buying an already repaired one on line. Awesome. Thanks.
