Hacienda San Jose

This place has always been somewhere I wanted to visit! But, I never got around to it. My buddies and I went to here on a whim and were pleasantly surprised with the service and amazing food!!! I would highly recommend going here after or before a bowling session at Don carter's! Skip out on shooters and just go to San Jose!

Quick service and good food. We ordered a 40 taco platter for work, and it was great. They gave ample sauces and toppings for the tacos, and helped me out to my car.

Food is delicious. The steak goes well on anything. Tacos, tortas, dont matter. The chorizo wasn't the best. Not enough flavor. Cecina was delicious. I recommend having a couple of tacos of that. The waiters are always on it. they'll bring more chips and salsa right away if needed. The biggest thing here would be to fix the menus so everything is accurate. If the owner can put a new patio in, you can definitely get new menus. If that's fixed, I'll give it a 5/5 stars. Also, friday nights and Saturdays they be having Karaoke so its poppin.

came sunday night, great service and delicious food!! aline was our server (according to our receipt) and she was lovely!!! beautiful smile and was so sweet! was less than $40 for 2 people so u know i had to tip her good. thank u aline!

If you Authentic Mexican food, you'll love San Jose, every thing was fresh and our Waitress was polite and Courteous during our dining time

This is some of the most incredible Mexican food I’ve had! Shout out to Maria, our super friendly, helpful and kind waitress. The tortilla chips and salsa are made in house, so they’re super fresh and delicious. The mole enchiladas and queso fundido were also incredible. I will definitely return next time I visit Rockford!

Had the Hawaiian Torta and cheese fries. Amazing. Food was really really good. Like. Exceptionally. Good enough I wanted to level a review. Brother got quesadillas. More like a soft taco but still really good. We came in late so service was a little slow. But very friendly.

Great place for fun and food! The food was great, we had a large group, we tried the Parillada, tortas, tacos, and tostadas. Everything was fast and amazing. The margaritas were awesome, and they had karaoke. All in all it's a place you have to visit.

So far the best refried beans i ever tasted! And carne asada improved so much!!! Still the best place for karaoke on weekends!

Nice and clean good atmosphere, a bit more classy than I usually go. Got the steak buritto was $10.61 I think with tax. Steak was some of the best flavor I've had not filled with rice and other fillers. Chips and salsa was good. The salsa was extremely good the green and red sauces was a bit bland per se but still decent. The server I had was good. I'd definitely go back and try something else next time.. I'm still on my buritto kick as of right now, but I'll probably try the lengua next.

Pretty amazing Mexican food and great service. Most dishes are authentic and have amazing flavor. This is Not Americanized Mexican food!

Taco Tuesday for me at San Jose! I had the El Patron or the boss tacos you get 4 of them with a skirt steak filling. They are 😋 delicious!

Food is so delicious. I ordered chicken enchiladas and they were gone in about 5 seconds. The rice is really good and I even enjoyed the beans. (I'm not a beans person). I also got a peach margarita.. it was good but I don't think it tasted much like peach, not to mention there was not much alcohol in it. As we were leaving, we asked for a cup of ice and our waitress bought a to go cup with about an inch of ice. That was it; lol. But it was really good. We will DEFINITELY be back.

Easily my absolute favorite traditional mexican/spanish experience in Rockford so far! My boyfriend and I LOVED our dine-in experience! The environment is extremely traditional in terms of immersion, so expect to walk in to spanish music and television and a spanish-speaking staff. If you're looking for traditional, this place is the place to go.

I felt the prices were fair for the food which is seasoned perfectly and made fresh to order. Everything looked homemade - ESPECIALLY the tortillas which held up very nicely to the bulk of food. The portions? Very generous. We got very full from this place and will definitely be giving it repeat business.

The food is great, but you gotta love ordering tacos. Getting all your sauce on the side. Chips and salsa with extra salsa. All included in the bag, no mess ups! Recommend to anyone

Great late night authentic Mexican food. Never will you have to settle for taco bell. The atmosphere is great, the servers are friendly. I definitely recommend getting their Horchata. It's amazing, and free refills vs soda, which only comes in cans or bottles. If you get a can they will bring out a glass with ice for you to pour it in.
