Excellent food, friendly service, and tasty drinks. Chips and salsa are super delicious. The large margarita is HUGE! You have to have the homemade guacamole made table-side. Awesome flautas and chimichangas. Worth every minute of the 1.25 hr drive! We will be back!

This is a restaurant that knows what they are doing!! The food is always delicious...the kind of delicious where you know you have leftovers in your fridge and you can't wait to get home to be able to eat it (the next day)! Not super pricey either! And the staff is always fantastic! Drinks were good too! 😉

Good portions of food at a decent price range. Feels authentic. There are quite a number of vegetarian options. Friendly service. Clean restrooms

We had a great time celebrating my granddaughter BDay. They sung Happy birthday Mexican style and put her on one of their BIG MEXICAN SOMBRERO HAT making her feel so special. She enjoyed it a lot. We had authentic Mexican food that was bursting with good flavor thru out our dishes. The fajita was 🔥and their warm chips and salsa was the bomb. Their bowl was bussing too. Everything was good. Our first time here. We were visiting Rockford and thought we would stop and try it. We were not disappointed. The salsa is delicious. Not to spicy and a little bit sweet. We had a chicken taco salad and their specialty, the Mexico Classico chicken breast wrapped around ham and queso cheese, covered in their red sauce. It was absolutely fabulous. It was so good I can't wait to go back and try it again. Service was good, drinks were good. I highly recommend if you're in Rockford. They also offer carryout. We were there on a very cold below zero day, and the they were busy.

Definitely my go-to Mexican restaurant in the area. Mexico Clasico gets it all right! Their food is amazing always, and bonus-you usually get leftovers that you are excited to eat the next day. Seafood dishes are excellent as are their vegetarian options (though I always have to sub the Mexican rice and refried beans instead of the black beans and white rice because they’re so good) and guacamole. Drinks aren’t too shabby either. Please don’t ever leave Mexico Clasico or I’ll be lost.

We also took our friends there for dinner, they were impressed any happy with their meals. Will definitely be going back!

5 stars all around! It has been a long time since I've had food that was delicious and customer service that was outstanding ! The decorative Mexican scenery was beautiful. Our waitress was fluent in English as well. Which made the ordering process and any questions I had very easy. We spent under $40 for me, another adult and a child. Surely affordable!

Food was amazing. The portions were huge too. Service was quick and very attentive. Can't wait to go back. You must try the Abuelita Guacamole, and fresh fruit margaritas!!!

My favorite place to eat delicious Mexican cuisine. The chimichangas are perfect especially when you order guacamole made fresh at your table. The tortilla chips and salsa with fresh cilantro is served in generous portions. It also has great margaritas!

We got the pitcher of margarita, paradilla and guacamole. The paradilla is well worth it, so much food for two people, and the cactus was really well cooked. Amazing. It stayed warm the whole time due to how they bring it out. The margaritas were perfect! I was feeling good by the end of the night. The service was good and the atmosphere was very enjoyable.
Oh! My friend was so taken by the sinks in the bathroom...they are super pretty! 😍

Arazely was our server and she was spectacular. Got the paradilla, and amazing dish for two with cactus and chorizo and pulled pork and steak and chicken and peppers on a flaming grill brought to the table. As good as the first time!
Also, got a frozen Margarita/Sangria (half and half) and it was super delicious with the perfect smokey fruity tequila combination.

Generous portions of real flavor. Margaritas are on point fresh, no fake mixes like other restaurants. They were able to create vegetarian options. Very nice staff and clean interior. My only observation to offer an improvement is that the bartender wore the same gloves to handle bar fruit, pick up dirty dishes, handle money, then make drinks. Wearing gloves is a two way street. If they get dirty with money germs and used dishes- gotta change them before you touch my clean bar ware and new plates of food.

One of our top few restaurants to eat at in Rockford. The food is top notch and very consistent. The only knock I have is that one of their servers is very slow & seems unable to multitask. Nearly everyone who's ever helped us here is incredible. Fast, attentive, & checking in on us. This one woman though doesn't seem to be able to handle the rush of serving.

Got food here for my birthday and they did not disappoint. The good was delicious! We had never gotten food here before, but will definitely return.

If you are a picky eater this place isn’t for you. But it is as my coworker said. Best Mexican in Rockford. I had the steak fajitas chimichangas and I was STUFFED after just half!
Loved it! And will go again when I have enough room for dessert. Hopefully some fried ice cream!!

This was a great place to eat. The food was fresh. The guacamole was made fresh at our table. Will definitely return to try more of the large menu.

I'm a big fan of Mexican food and culture. As a traveling contractor.... I eat out 3 meals a day. I tried every Mexican restraunt. And ate every taco .WARNING... if you go here to eat on your lunch break....you will get so full. ...you will be fighting sleep. The tacos are so good ,you will eat WAY to much. BEST TACOS IN TOWN
